when i first read mango slush, I assumed it would be a slushy (like an icee at a theatre) but this was much more smoother and bright. glad i found this place, these tasty mango drinks in the summer heat will be amazing!! they have lots of ube dessert that i'm wanting to try. looks delicious. the place was nice and clean, including the bathroom. not the most welcoming service but quick and efficient

Not too many selections of treats but the existing ones were great. The mais con Yelo bar was my favorite as it was not too sweet and tasted very good. Other recommended sweets are the ube cheesecake and the ube flan cupcake. They are so good and definitely fixes a sweet tooth craving. The best drink is the mais con Yelo halo-halo drink. It wasn't too sweet and the mix was good and you could taste the flavors of the corn and flakes nicely. The ambiance here is cool with a star wars theme. Open space and a lot of room to chill.

Stopped by Cafe 86 on a rainy LA day looking for something sweet to nibble on while reading at home. Mission accomplished. Parking Located in a busy plaza. Even on a rainy day it was packed, but we lucked out and snagged a spot as someone pulled out. Vibe Small, cozy, and eclectic. The space is filled with Filipino memorabilia and cultural nods, which makes it feel warm and personal. Very limited seating (only a couple of small areas), so this is mostly a grab-and-go spot. What It's Known For Cafe 86 is a longtime favorite for Filipino-inspired desserts--think ube everything, pandan, and tropical flavors. It's also gone viral over the years for its ube leche flan cupcakes and halo-halo-inspired treats. Order Mango calamansi slush--SO good. Bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Sweet without being syrupy, and dangerously easy to drink. Service Ordered via the self-serve kiosk. Bonus points: they made a little extra of our drink and generously gave us the leftovers topped with chamoy. A+ kindness.

Filipino dessert spot with heavy focus on ube flavors. Their ube monster milkshake is more on the slushier side than an actual milkshake, but you can still taste the flavor. I recommend the ube truffles for something truly unique, and for those with a sweet tooth get the ube crack cheesecake! Plenty of seating indoors, but can get filled during peak hours.

First time at Cafe 86 in Carson on 2/14/26. We have been at the Cerritos location and loved it so we were so happy to see there's one closer to us. We were greeted warmly as we entered in. The staff was friendly and provided great hospitality. The restaurant was cool, lots of deco on the wall that keeps you entertained. We ordered the upside down halo halo and ube monster. Everything tasted delicious! For Valentine's, they gave us a free ube velvet in a really cute heart tin. They're located in Carson in a plaza with plenty of parking. Definitely worth the visit if you love ube or Filipino dessert. Highly recommend!

The Upside Down Halo Halo is GENIUS! I think this is my favorite halo-halo of all time. I love that they added cornflakes and substituted the usual beans for tapioca pearls. My mistake was ordering the "mini" when I should have ordered the regular. The ube crumble cookies and flan ina cupcake were made to perfection as well! This is a place I would definitely have to bring my Filipino parents to!

We stopped here for dessert after a long day of sightseeing in LA. Located in Carson, this is a small shop that specializes in boba drinks and pastries. There are lots of ube items if that's what you're into. My favorite item here is the Turon pop tart. You can get it warmed, and once you tuck into the pastry it's a hot, comforting flaky bite. The filling isn't too sweet and it's enough to share if you want a small bite of something. The service is really friendly and there are a few tables inside if you want to eat in. There's plenty of parking too.

Cafe 86 just opened in Carson and it's already my new go-to dessert spot! The menu is full of unique ube and Filipino-inspired treats, and everything I tried was delicious. We ordered: * Mais con yelo - sweet, refreshing, and perfect for summer. Very nostalgic. * Upside Down Halo Halo - MY personal favorite. I love the chewiness of the boba, jackfruit, and nata de coco especially!! * Ube Monster - their iconic drink and definitely a must-try if you love ube and Oreos. * Strawberry Calamansi Cooler - tart, sweet, and so refreshing! * Jasmine Grapefruit Iced Tea - light and floral with the perfect balance. Really liked this one! * Ube Cheesecake - creamy and rich without being too heavy. Love the crumbs on top. * Ube Flan Cupcake - soft, moist, and packed with ube flavor. The flan wasn't too sweet! * Churrochi with ube ice cream - such a fun dessert! The churro and mochi combo was warm and chewy, paired perfectly with the creamy ube ice cream. Sooooo tasty! The staff was very friendly & helpful, the space is bright and welcoming, and it's such a great addition to Carson. They also have self-serving kiosks for you to order if you're in a rush or the staff is busy helping another customer. Super convenient! Whether you're an ube lover or just looking for unique desserts, you'll want to add Cafe 86 to your list. I'll definitely be back to try more!

I love the fact that there is a Cafe 86 less than half a mile from my Suegra's house. It is so convenient!! They have all the same offerings as the one I've been too in Rancho Cucamonga. It is a lot smaller here. As well as a lot less seating area. This time around though we ordered so much more! We of course had to order their upside-down halo halo. And it was phenomenal. FYI adding a little bit of whiskey (bourbon- at home) elevated it. We also had to get their ube crinkle, ube with flan cupcake, halo halo bread pudding as well as a couple other things. The halo halo bread pudding is good. You can warm it up at home (35-40 seconds) and they give you a separate cup of ube ice cream. The cold and the hot contrasted amazingly. With the bits of coconut and halo halo bits in it really changes up the texture of each bite. You definitely taste the ube. Its moist. And just amazing Everything we ordered from here was exceptional. Im glad there's one so close to my second home. Its definitely super convenient. And I will definitely be by some more times when Im in the Carson area!!

First time visitor here in Cafe 86! Today, I ordered the Ube Milk Tea. Didn't know what to expect other than a good drink. Glad to say, I received it. First greeting, the Cafe is quite empty. I didn't see a lot of customers. And If you are into quieter spots, this is my top recommendation! Very clean, modern cafe vibes, lights everywhere, and located in carson. Good Job to the staff for keeping the environment comfortable. The atmosphere feels so welcoming, although, very quiet. The Ube Milk Tea is heavenly. That may just be exaggeration...but seriously, I say this a Filipino in search of 'Ube' drinks that actually taste like the ube treats my mother would make--I feel awakened. The milk tea was sweet and refreshing, and the money was well spent on the drink. I am very much looking forward to tasting more of the treats they have on display and some of the other drinks. Thank You, Cafe 86. So excited to try more.

You walk in, and you'll be greeted by trendy, upbeat music. There are lights in mason jars hanging from the ceiling that give the place a rustic feel. Even the display cases for their pasties were cutely decorated with fun drawings. The upside down halo halo was really good but pricey for a "mini" for $9.95. The Cali mango slush was a huge disappointment because not only did it not taste like Mango, the taste wasn't good at all. We threw out 80% of it and took home the boba to rinse it out so we could at least eat it since the boba was chewy and sweet. The service was average, but I did appreciate being asked to sign up for the loyalty program.

starting off 2025 with ubeeeeeee omgosh!! you have no idea how stoked i am that cafe 86 is now is carson! i can get my ube fix without having to drive to their other location in cerritos/artesia i ordered the upside down halo halo 10/10 so good. cant find another place that serves a delish halo halo other than HI! bc it was the new year, they were offering $2 teas . so i ordered my fave peach mango green tea! they were out of most of the pastries, maybe i good thing for me! i absolutely LOVE their ube crack cheesecake and the ube truffles. service was wonderful. the gal was welcoming and friendly few seating avail inside and more seating avail outside it was very clean inside and will def be coming back, maybe weekly... parking: tucked in the corner of the center, but no issues with parking! read more

The ube cupcake with a mini leche flan is must do but dannnggg almost $5 for a small cupcake?! It is good though and not super sweet. Got the milo milk tea because I feel you really can't get a milo drink anywhere. And it was good, sweetness was perfect. There are different milk teas, calamansi drinks, and halo halos. Glad there is a Filipino dessert place in Carson besides the local bakeries. read more

I'm so glad Cafe 86 opened a location closer to home! I always get their Upside Down Halo Halo, and it so good. It's a unique twist on the classic, with fresh ingredients and the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. They also have a bunch of ube snacks! The staff are friendly and welcoming. There are only a few tables inside, but thankfully they added more seating outside, which is a nice option. Just a heads-up--parking can be a bit tough but overall, this spot is a new favorite! read more

Came here Şunday and ordered upside down Halo-halo, they didn't put enough toppings, the Ube monster milkshake and cookie butter milkshake was too sweet. The pastries was okay like ube brownie with cashew, ube tres leches, ube leche flan, ube butter bars and too sweet as well. Had to wait almost 1 hour because they was busy and only 3 staff working. Ambiance was okay, not enough seat inside. It can only seat like 10 people max. read more

This was my first time ever trying anything Ube, so I didn't know what to expect. Overall, I would say it's nothing groundbreaking in my opinion. But being a big fan of sweet potatoes in general I would order from here again. The staff was pleasant and the shop was clean. Hubs and I stumbled upon this place while our son had football practice at a local park in Carson. We immediately experienced Hawaii vibes and went on an ordering spree. We tried the sea salt coffee 10/10, the ube milk tea 10/10, and a few of their baked offerings 10/10. The ube strudel is a must...and my son snaked my entire ube butter bar so I didn't even get to try it! Last, but definitely not least, the staff and service are top notch...friendly, helpful, and remembered us from only one visit (yes, we have come a few more times since). inconsistent & way too expensive for the quality of their drinks . so far ive tried the iced cookie butter latte twice , the cookie butter shake twice and the blended cookie butter latte - all of which tasted like water with a tiny aftertaste of flavor . the drinks look nothing like what theyre advertised as on their online menu , and the taste is even worse . after giving this place all these chances i can say im done wasting money here . read more

10/10 Let's just say this was a great experience from the food, to the service. No joke, the best Halo Halo I've ever had in my life lol. Yummy The ice was well blended with ube, the scoop of vanilla ice cream was delicious, topped with flan that taste was paired so perfectly alone with Frosted Flakes, mixed with a variety of gulaman and boba. My mom and I love coming here almost every other week !! Everything is so yummy. My go-to is always their Dragonberry Calamansi Cooler and their Ube lecheflan cupcake !! We also really like their upside down halo halo. Cafe 86 really does know how to do Ube right !! The service is really fast even if it is busy, very in and out :) This location is pretty small with limited seating. They should definitely move into a bigger location, Cafe 86 deserves more recogniztion and customers !! read more

Saw a review from a friend who visited this coffee shop, so we decided to pay them a visit. When we arrived, we had to navigate the menu and figure out what was good. A lot of good, We ordered 4 different drinks, with two types of dessert, everything was very good. Now for the negative, Expensive, the coffee I had, Mocha Latte, was very good, but for the price, the size of the cup definitely was not worth the price. The desserts were yummy, but again, the price didn't add up to what we received. I want to really like this place, but for the price that I paid for everything, ($44 + tip) I would have to have a very good reason to go, or if I won the lotto! read more

Ok this place is yummy! The Ube desserts are a must! Customer service is always great! It's a little spot that I can walk to which I love! They have some tables and chairs, very clean, and I leave with a smile always as my son frequents this cafe so gives me a nice excuse to have some quality time which is amazing so thank u cafe 86! I get the Ube upside down halo-halo with Ube ice cream instead of vanilla ice cream. So yummy. My go to place. The workers there are nice and friendly. 12 bucks for halo-halo is steap but inflation is real. Definitely worth a try!!! imo read more
