This place has been a go-to neighborhood deli for years, and it's easy to see why. It's a quaint spot that's built its reputation on consistently fresh, high-quality sandwiches and genuinely great service. People in town don't just like it, they respect it. It's one of those places locals will recommend without hesitation, and once you go, you get it. This is a small, classic deli where you order, grab your food, and go. Honestly, that's part of the charm. It feels authentic in the best way possible. Just a solid, well-run spot that focuses on doing one thing really well: making incredible sandwiches. Everything tastes fresh, the portions are generous, and the quality is exactly what you want from a true Jersey deli. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Places like this are getting harder to find, and Longfellow's has managed to stay a staple in the Morristown community for a reason. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's 100% worth the stop.

It's around $13 per banh mi which is a little higher than some places, but the quality and portion make it worth it 100%. I got the S1 and S8. The S1 was really good and something I would definitely order again. It's my husband's favorite. The S8 was the chicken and it came out warm with steam! A lot of other places make it but it's still cold. I also liked how fresh the ingredients taste. Service takes about 15 to 20 minutes for the order to come out just as a heads up. One Only small critique is the bread. While I like a crispy baguette, this one is a bit too crunchy and can cut the roof of your mouth a little. So don't gobble it down fast like I did. If they made it just slightly less aggressive it would be perfect. Overall I would definitely go back for more.

Parking can be a bit tricky given its location near a major road, but there is metered parking right out front. One thing I really appreciated was the thoughtful packaging. Instead of wrapping everything in paper/foil (which traps steam and softens the bread), they use takeaway containers that keep the banh mi bread crispy and intact. The portions are generous! I don't think I've ever had a bahn mi with so much protein! I personally asked for extra cilantro on some of the sandwiches which is why the cilantro looks so obnoxious in the pictures. Everything was solid and satisfying! The lemongrass chicken bahn mi stood out with its aromatic flavor. The Saigon special bahn mi though, could've used a bit more presence from the mayo and pate to enhance the flavors. Sounds weird, but surprisingly, the sardines in tomato sauce bahn mi was better than it sounds. It was savory and definitely worth trying if you're feeling adventurous. The summer rolls were fresh, clean, and a great complement to the sandwiches. My only note: I wish the pickled carrots and radish had a bit more tang. They leaned mild rather than punchy. Overall, a reliable spot with thoughtful touches and flavorful options. I'd come back again.

First of all, the staff is so nice and accommodating. The owner Lucky and the chef Jose Manuel are great as they go out of their way to make you happy. The bagels are all homemade, boiled and then baked - the only way to make a good bagel! It was absolutely delicious. My friend and I both had the same thing which was Taylor ham, egg and cheese. I had a sesame bagel and my friend had a poppy bagel and we both loved our sandwiches. I can't wait to come back again. This will be our 'go to' bagel place. Thanks Lucky and Jose!!!

They have a back entrance by the parking lot and also street parking that can be a little challenging. This was our first time here so as we looked at the menu the lady at the counter gave my daughter a plain bagel to munch on while we wait! That was such a lovey gesture and my toddler definitely enjoyed her first NJ bagel! I knew I had to get the taylor ham egg and cheese on an everything bagel of course (perfectly soft and savory all the way) and my hubby got the Italian Hero that was huge and came with one side (we went with the potato salad) and it was full of meat and veggies and pickles on the side. The pricing was so reasonable for the generous amount of food you are getting and they are a local down-to-earth business. Definitely come by when you're in the area!
