Pasta

First, I had to be convinced to eat at an Italian restaurant outside Toronto's Little Italy. We arrived on a Friday evening without a reservation and secured a beautiful spot outside on their patio. As for the food, both dishes were precisely what we were looking for - great taste, smell, and texture. BB

Slthough this restaurant is abit little far from home, but Iikely stillbe coming back basbecause the food was delicious and spectacular service and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Im in a wheelchair and the restaurant was fully wheelchsiraccessible like front entrance and washroomwhich is amazing! Westarted with garlic bread and calamari. Garlic bread is a must try item and it's a perfectstarterdish. The portion pwas quite genergenerous asall 4 of us hadhad a nice thick slice that didn't feel too small. For the main, I had the sea bream which wasperfectly done. Only thing I critism that I have for this dish was some dishvegetables on the sidewiuld have been nice.Overall,we had a great time evening soI am sure wewethat Iwillbe back . I like to cocome back to trytrttrybatheirbrunch or breakfast as some of these items posted lookgood!

Easily a new favourite spot. We've come here twice now in the last few days. Once to sample the delicious cream filled pastry and pizza and another for the meal. The pizza was great with a thick and soft dough and crispy exterior. I'm usually a fan of thin crust but really enjoyed this one. Almost like a focaccia base. For the meal, we came for their happy hour, which is a great deal. Salads were full of flavour, rigatoni had a very vibrant spicy sauce, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Everything felt very balanced and relatively healthy despite having some fried components. We went during off peak hours both times so service was quick. The environment is really nice. One half is a cafe where people were doing work. The other half is a dining area. They also have a large outdoor seating area. Really delicious food with good quality ingredients that we will be sure to come back for, especially at their happy hour prices.

Summerlicious at Cafe Zuzu! Went for the 3-course lunch set for $27 that comes with a Zuzu Greens salad, a Rigatoni Rosè pasta and a scoop of Gelato! A steal for all that considering the pasta is already $20 We also got the Chicken Milanese because a girl was just craving for some fried chicken We also got some gelato, 2 scoops for $7! The scoops were massive, so worth it! The flavors we got were Cotton Candy, Butterscotch, Green Apple Sorbet, and Dark Chocolate

A new-ish brunch/ lunch/ dinner spot in Regent Park area. There' hardly any parking on the streets near here as there are lots of condo buildings around, so find yourself an underground parking instead. Upon arriving, your left is a more casual cafe feel and style. You order your food and coffee at the counter and seat yourself. To the right is the main dining area and man is it stunning! Absolutely beautiful with their decor and looked super homey. Service was great as well as our server came to check in on us a couple of times. I started my meal off with a vanilla latte and got my lunch of the smoked salmon plate. Both were a 5/5 for me. The focaccia bread from the smoked salmon plate was absolutely divine and was freshly baked. The plate came with some ricotta spread, capers, pickled red onions, herbs and a soft boiled egg. It's a disassembled plate and you can eat it however you choose to. I thought this place was great for a quiet lunch catch up session with some good food and drinks. What got me the most was the beautiful interior and I will be coming back!

What a gem of a restaurant! The trifecta was great: service, food and ambiance. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. Their pasta is freshly made on site! I also had the baby gem salad and the winter sangria. They have $6 kids meals on Wednesday and Sundays after 5pm (with purchase of a main). I will be back with my kids. It was a very enjoyable experience. PS: There is free parking on some of the side streets, if you come for dinner.

Set in Regant Park , in the same block as the Dance Arts Institute, this new modern restaurant felt like a nice getaway on this side of the city. Decor was light, airy and modern. The service was great , I came here with my 2.5 year old and they were very accommodating with seating and food options. We ordered the pancakes and eggs in purgatory and both were delicious. I can't wait to come back for more. Tip- come early for weekend brunch which starts at 11am. We came at 11:15ish and it was already pretty busy but we were thankful that food actually didn't even take that long.

I visited this place for a weekend brunch and loved the aesthetic of the place!! We had made a reservation here a week or two in advance so there wasn't much of wait when we entered. Having said that, there wasn't a big line up outside the restaurant either. The space was simple and elegant. The staff were very friendly and took the time to go through the menu with us. For drinks, I got their espresso martini which was pretty good and gave me the right kick I needed to start the day. It wasn't too boozy, but the taste of coffee was pretty strong. For food, I got their medaglioni which had polenta, mushrooms, butter, and pecorino. It was super creamy and garlicky, just how I like it. My friend got the truffle cream panzerotto which was essentially a savoury turnover and it came with a side of salad. She really seemed to like it! Overall, we all had a pretty good experience and I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Eggplant Parmigiana

Stopped by for dinner and had a great time. Ordered a bunch of stuff and the standouts were the eggplant parmigiana (super cheesy), brussels caesar (fresh, light, crunchy) and squash (seasonal dish that was amazing - both sweet and savoury, with a divine brown butter glaze). Also got the pappardelle (tasty but would've liked the pasta to be a bit less thick and chewy), torta (nice balance of hazelnut crunch and mascarpone) and apple crostata (pretty good but a bit too sweet for me). Service was attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. Space was beautifully designed and casually elegant. Prices were reasonable-ish. Vibe was warm and inviting. Will definitely be back!

Pudding (vanilla panna cotta, strawberry compote, milk cake crumb)

Highly recommend the sea bream! The fish was soft, the potatoes were yummy, and the sauce was good. First time trying a panzerotto. The mushroom filling was nice. Really enjoyed the pudding dessert too. Ziti was boring but we asked for chilli oil and was pleasantly surprised by their house made chilli oil/sauce. The vibe is nice and would recommend for any type of gathering (date, friends, etc)

I came here for weekend brunch and loved that we were easily able to score a table and make reservations. It's in the Regent Park area, so there's not as much foot traffic compared to other downtown spots. No visible line ups. So we didn't feel as pressed to leave ASAP. The ambiance is amazing, and the servers are also great. I ordered the truffle cream panzerotto based on the server's recommendation, and I appreciated that it came with a light salad and that the panzerotto was nice and light, not too overly heavy. My group also enjoyed their meal. Also, it's not hard to find paid parking if you're looking for a spot down here, and it's close to the DVP and easily accessible from Dundas Station via a short streetcar ride or a walk across.

Sister company to gusto - we had to try!!! Here's what we ordered for a group of 5 people: Antipasti * HOUSEMADE FOCACCIA ($6) x2 * WHIPPED RICOTTA ($15) Insalate * BRUSSELS CAESAR ($15) Pasta * PAPPARDELLE ($24) * RIGATONI ($19) Secondi * CHICKEN MILANESE ($24) * HANGER STEAK ($45) my personal favorite!! * MUSHROOM RISOTTO ($24) Loved this spot! Super intimate, dim lighting, great for a date or night with friends. Super cosy, think 1950s Italy. We came for dinner, but definitely want to try some time during the day to get a feel for their cafe vibe. The staff are so friendly and attentive. They gave us great recommendations as well.

Café Zuzu, located on Queen St. E. and Sackville St. is Gusto 54 restaurant group's new venture from Janet Zuccarini. The Italian café serves a variety of beverages (coffee, teas, etc.), food items (baked goods, savoury items - sandwiches), as well as has products for sale (mostly food related). The café has seating indoors and a small patio outdoors. Indoors, there is about seating for ~25 customers. The interir is warm and inviting. I decided to check out Café Zuzu one Sunday morning. Even though I went at an early time just when the café had opened, it was already busy with customers. I opted for a banana loaf and a flat white. The glass case filled with pastries and baked goods definitely makes it difficult for one to decide what to get. I saw they also had breakfast sandwiches made to order but I did not have time to get one. Since there was quite a few people ahead of me, I had to wait a bit for my flat white. The line can get confusing since many people may be waiting for their beverages. The banana loaf was good but the coffee was mediocre. There definitely are better places to find coffee elsewhere around that area. I do want to try the breakfast sandwich next time!

Eggplant Parm, chicken milanese and a pasta dish with a name I can't remember but I did not enjoy.

The food was terrible super salty. I got the spaghetti and it was so salty, probably one of the worse plates I've ever had.

We were greeted at the door right away :) Our server was friendly and courteous; he looked European, which always throws me off at a Japanese restaurant lol. The ambiance was cozy and the paper umbrellas hung on the ceiling was a beautiful touch! We shared a few items, and the food portions were quite good: Curry Udon with Shrimp (you can get Chicken or Tofu as well) - I really enjoyed the curry, not too spicy but very flavouful. The shrimp was actually crispy battered shrimps, and they were good! Champon Noodles - I always thought this dish was actually Korean, but I guess not lol. It is a seafood mix with noodles in a buttery, creamy broth. Initially, it did not look to appetizing but it was quite tasty. Fruit Sake Flight - For 22$, we opted in for this sake flight, comes in 4 mini sake cups. We tried the Lavender Ume, Sanzen Yuzu, Nashi Pear and Momo Peach. I personally really liked the pear and the yuzu one :)

This must be the place!…read more Our first trip to Toronto and boy did we have fun. From delicious food to sipping wine, and everything in between, Toronto was a city to explore. Ladybug Wine Bar is a cute but also sophisticated wine bar located on King Street, steps away from shopping and restaurants. We stopped in here on a snowy Sunday before our flight home. They also serve Sunday Brunch. We grabbed a few open seats at the comfy bar. They do not offer wine flights, which made this experience pretty darn expensive but SOOOO worth it. We had such a fun time and the people working were so nice, we honeslty did not want to leave. They were willing to help with our selections. We actually ordered all their Reds by the glass. I know, but there were only about 6 and we had to try them all. I like to say "go big or go home" LOL! We loved almost all except for maybe a few. We ended up also ordering a charcuterie while we sip. And of course I brought a bottle home with me. If you are ever in Toronto, please check out Ladybug wine bar, it is fantastic, you won't want to leave. Cheers!
