This was very flavorful. It came with Turkey, mash potatoes on bread with gravy . It was very filling . We got the Philly steak sandwiches . This was so good . The steak was shaved thin it was very tender. It had grilled peppers & onions with Swiss cheese . The roll was good . It came with fries. We also got the Kung Pao Chicken with noodles . The reviews here don't lie, I wish I had better things to report. Let's start with the atmosphere - probably 4 stars, the place is pretty nice for a casino cafe. Unfortunately that's where our smiles ended. Service was poor, waitress took our order and we never saw her again. It was around 9:00 pm on a Tuesday night, the place was empty. Would have loved another drink or refill of water, never happened. Food was horrendous - my open face roast beef was shoe leather with instant potatoes and drowning in gravy most likely from a can. French dip, same show leather meat. Patty melt had barely any onions - I will say, the Tobasco fries were great (hard to screw up frozen fries). We arrived in West Wendover on our way to Park City thinking we were going to eat at Pancho and Willie's but we were told it was over an hour wait. We decided to try Cafe Milano and we're seated immediately. Sergio was our server, as he took our order I asked if we could order cocktails and he asked me what I wanted. What was funny was he then walked away leaving my husband and his brother confused. So they walked out to the casino bar to get a couple of beers. Sergio didn't write any of our order down and seemed kind of rattled. When our food came my brother in law bit into his Spicy Buffalo Chicken sandwich and the spicy spewed out all over the place. My husband ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad which was so wet he had to stop eating it. I opted for the Potato Loaded with Carne Asada which had potential until you reached the potato. It was very dried out, not at all what I expected for $21.95. Our bill for three with tip was $89.27, not including the two beers they bought at the casino bar. Based on Yelp reviews we tried 2 other cafes prior to arriving at Cafe Milano. Sadly the other 2 cafes (on the Utah side) closed at 3 just as we arrived for a late lunch. Settled on Cafe Milano and besides the cigarette and cigar plumes we had to walk thru to get to the cafe we were pleasantly surprised. Our server was prompt friendly and quick to answer questions and offer suggestions. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. Large portions with leftovers for both of us. I had the Mexicali chicken sandwich with the Tabasco fries. Both were delicious each with a bit of spice kick. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely return. read more

Long line waiting to get in. Once they started seating our group we got in quickly. The food arrived in a timely manner. My husband ordered 10 oz top sirloin medium at $28.95. The salad was very nice and the ranch dressing excellent. The steak arrived well done. He had asked for vegetables and he got a bowl of corn. We asked if there was anything else but there was not. It looked dry. He tried it and said it's not sweet corn. He didn't eat it. My Mongolian beef looked kind of odd because the onions looked like they were left over from other dishes. Chunks and slices and small pieces. There were a lot of onions. I kept spooning them up and giving them to my husband. He said they made his meal. The sauce was very good but the meat was tough. Some of it was so dry the fork wouldn't pierce it. (I'm a disaster with chop sticks but they did include them.). The wrapped fortune cookie was tossed in with the sauce. The rice was fine. This was the worst restaurant experience I've had in years. Went to this place on 1.19.24 as part of a party of 3. One ordered a French Dip, one a cheeseburger with the upsold "Tabasco fries", and I had a Ribeye Conquest Sandwich. My sandwich was visually pleasing, with points given for the grilled vegetables, but the ribeye itself was excessively fatty and gristly. The French Dip was 4 shoe leather colored pieces of alleged roast beef in an overwhelmingly huge bun. If sadness was a sandwich, this French Dip is it. The cheeseburger was graded "pretty good" but the Tabasco fries were a complete miss. The person who ordered them didn't like them and asked if I wanted to try one. I did, for science. The only flavor was old fryer grease. Absolutely gross. A gas station burrito would have been a better dining experience. read more

We ate three breakfast meals here during our stay and enjoyed them. They overcooked my soft poached eggs the first meal but after that, they were perfectly cooked. My bacon was crispy, just like I ordered it. Our group of six was seated quickly and service was decent, so no complaints there. We ate dinner here on May 6, 2024 and will not return. There were very few customers and yet we waited ten minutes before a waitress came over. She said "what can I get yous guys". We ordered our meal and drinks. We were served our meal first and then had to remind her about our drinks. My husband ordered the Peppermill Clubhouse and was given a regular Clubhouse. I ordered the Deuces Wild with all crispy bacon and no sausage. I was given two undercooked slices of bacon and two sausages! On our bill we were charged for an extra side of bacon which I never got. My Husband and I went here on our way into Utah, we saw the bad reviews but decided to try them out anyway. The food was delicious and there was so much food we were unable to finish it all, but that was ok. We ate the leftovers that night. The place was clean and the servers were great. We went here about 9:30 at night after driving from Reno, Nevada. It took some time to get seated in a 10 per cent occupied restaurant but once seated, the staff was great. For dinner, open face turkey sandwich, while not the best I have had, certainly made for a comforting meal after much time on the road. For dessert treated ourselves with pie and ice cream. Used Yelp to find a breakfast place with some gluten free options for my wife. Atmosphere - The restaurant is inside the Peppermill casino, it is a typical casino diner. The place is large and the small amount of people eating this morning made it fill even larger. Food Drink - Coffee, served in a large mug which I loved. But with the long road trip still in front of me I only had one large cup. Breakfast - The menu said it was a new item but how often do they change their menu? The new item was the chorizo breakfast burrito. A large burrito that had no fillers, just scrambled eggs and the chorizo. The chorizo were all tiny little bits, I would have liked them larger to get that great sausage taste to come through more. Service - Our waitress was very pleasant. Like most diners you receive the bill at the table and pay the cashier as you leave. Future - With more trips in the future to Salt Lake City, I can see us coming here again. read more

Pleasantly surprised for this cafe inside Peppermill. Ordered all can eat spaghetti and a chefs salad. The spaghetti plate was so big and came with bread that only one serving could be eaten. Th chefs salad was the hugest salad I have ever seen. It had tons of meat and cheese and veggies. They were doing construction/remodeling in the restaurant area and that was annoying and loud. We got the New York steak and for $25 it was the worst steak had. Served in steak sauce with char burnt leftover pieces from the grill and cooked very unevenly. One part was medium the other end was rare. The mashed potatoes are the highlight of the steak dinner. If you do go here the Philly cheese steak is pretty good! The waitress was unpleasant and had attitude right when we sat down. I don't think you will get too great of service here in Wendover, but this was the worst one yet. read more

Cafe/Buffet located in the Peppermill Casino. You can go get your own food from the buffet or order off the menu. They have a $6.95 burger special that is consistently delicious. They also have a $2.99 breakfast special. (I have not eaten anything from the buffet.) I have only ordered off the menu, but what I have found is that the food here is actually pretty good. We ate here twice. I am regretting both visits. The wife ordered the halibut and it was tough. Extremely tough. Tough enough that we're entering it in to the next Ironman competition. We visited Cafe Milano twice. You are greeted and seated very promptly, which you should be because they have a cashier and a host/hostess. That is all they do. The first time, there were 7 tables seated, with one waiter, Jason, who was busting his butt. He checked back three times with us before we ordered, promising that he would get our order soon. 20 minutes later, he did just that. Meanwhile, the two people at the front desk wouldn't bus dishes, wouldn't get or refill water or coffee. They just stood there. What appeared to be a manager emerged from the back, I think his name tag said "Gypsy." He didn't even look into the dining area, but instead exited the restaurant and was out chatting with the other employees in the casino. Later, he came back into the restaurant and went and hid in his office, again without any concern about the place. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken to share. 20 minutes later, it came, and we shared it. The chicken was overdone, but the veggies were crisp and flavorful. Don't forget to ask them to bring you a cone or bowl so you can get your free soft serve. The second day, we came in and ordered Penne Pasta. Again, no action from the front of the house after seating and the female waitress was in the weeds. There were 7 dirty tables, and the hostess was uninterested. The food came out and was nice and hot, and a lot of food, even with us sharing it. We observed others getting the prime rib special. It appeared to be a good size piece of meat, but only about 1/2 thick. We watched a guy cutting it up to put on his salad, and it looked tough. Just a little attention by the boss and one more person who was willing to work would make this a 4 star place. I've posted the entire menu. The food here was decent. My husband and I had never been here si stopped in. We both ordered steaks and an appetizer of nachos. The nachos were huge and probably would have been perfect for us to share as a meal. My biggest complaint would be that the sour cream was gross and that the steak was not seasoned at all. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food and by the time it arrived, it was so bland. Yet, we were starving and didn't have time to wait for it to be fixed or order something else. The word "Meh" pretty much sums this place up better than I could. Food is just barely okay, and service is slow and done with a blank stare. The people who work here just seem to be depressed about the fact that they live in Wendover, and though we didn't have any bad service the 3 times we went here during our stay we never had even an ounce of good service. All food had a real out of the can or freezer flavor, and all fried food had an old dirty oil flavor. Most stuff had the taste and texture of being under a food lamp for a while. That being said, the prices were pretty decent, and the atmosphere is nice. Like I said it was acceptable, and easy since we were staying in the hotel, and it was too hot outside to brave the car ride elsewhere, so we made it work. One funny thing of note that happened the first time we went, was we had asked for 2 booster seats for our kids. the hostess and server both looked at us like we just made up a word, and said "we'll check" they came back 5 minutes later with a single rickety highchair, and said "like this thing", so which we said "sure" and let the other kid run wild on the booth bench. I literally thought maybe this hotel was supposed to be adults only, so they didn't accommodate kids until the next day for breakfast when our server asked if we would like 2 boosters, and returned promptly with 2 booster seats. HOY HELL WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!! Place located in peppermill casino, went here to get the $9.95 prime rib dinner that was broadcasted, went here for dinner last night. My girlfriend got a safe item since she wasnt feeling too well the philly cheese steak. We got the appetizer sampler. It was over fried in old oil( only way we could tell was there was dark oil spots on our plate. ) the refried beans came from a can, had a metallic flavor to it also, and it was cold. Like no attempt was used to heat it up. No microwave, no heat lamp nothing... tortilla chips was thrown. On top. Tasted like shoe. Lets just say.. it came out VERY unappealing and unappetizing. My girlfriends philly cheesesteak lacked flavor The steak inside tasted like frozen diced meatballs from sysco, the hoagiebun was stale and old, and cold. No flavor no taste. Best item on the plate was the fries. O boy my prime rib... the first one was cold.... and raw.... yup cold and raw..... thats the best to sum it up.... the 2nd prime rib was slightly better it was hot!! Well, room temperature anyways. There was ZERO flavor, it was like trying to eat the cow minutes after it was killed and then seared....just beef and the taste of the grill. Then there was the corn that came with it...talk about mushy tasteless food. Now just to top off the entire endeavor, our server was terrible. She came to our table 4 times. Once to take our food and drink order 10min after we were sat, second time to drop off the appetizer and soup, third time to give me a knife and to exchange my prjme rib which the second one was dropped off by someone entirely different and the last time she came to our table was to drop off the check. Throughout the whole meal with all of the issues we had, no managers ever came to resolve anything. We had a better meal at the McDonald's accross the street than we had at the Peppermill. $10 lunch buffet a good value. They had a fresh looking/ tasting salad bar with chilled shrimp. They have carvings of meat for the meat eaters. Grilled fish for the fish eaters. Enough options for vegetarians too including Mexican food (chile reano, cheese enchiladas, rice & beans). The desert bar had enough variety to feel really grand. The elegant atmosphere is nice and not gaudy, with classical music playing. Liked it. read more
