Grumpy Bear is my favorite Care Bear character. Resilience and strength are my defense for counterattack with attaining success as retaliation. The logo is a sketch of a grumpy frown face exhibited depicting negativity, which I find, very comical, cynical charm, and sarcasm. Customer service is average and patient with my indecisive for ordering. I did not receive a red card from this business. I did not receive any rude scowl looks. I did obtained my sales receipt. Cafe Grumpy is a coffee shop located in Grand Central Terminal main concourse at the Lexington Passage in Midtown East, Manhattan, NYC where commuters can attain their coffee and pastry before and arrival of their daily suburban commute at the start of the day. There are minimal seating as first come, first served of a ledge counter where customers can people watch commuters enter/ depart in the Lexington Passage coordinator. I came to Grand Central to go north young lady for a city escape via MTA Metro North Railroad for an adventure of good friends in good times. While walking within Grand Central browsing the various shops and cafes, Cafe Grumpy stood out. There is art on display. Price is very reasonable and in alignment with my wallet as items are not extortionate priced range $6.99 to $8.99 which is excessively money hungry for a business. Organic Jasmine citrus iced tea $5.50 The ice cubes are gratefully large whole block cubes which sustained chilled coolness during my twenty one minute wait for a friend of a friend to catch the MTA Metro North commuter train. This drink was refreshing good. I was immersed in enjoyment. The Jasmine was redolent for aromatic scent. The citrus was not overpowering which I was satisfied. Price is very reasonable. I would return for another cup again. Nutella Twist $5.75 This pastry is awful! There is no Nutella flavor despite of the large long size. It is a twisted pretzel with minimal Nutella as the filling. I only tasted the pastry flakes like a croissant. A chocolate croissant contains more substance than this pastry. I felt cheated and robbed of my $5.75 paid. I was unable to give it to anyone - even Grumpy Bear doesn't want this pastry. "Oh my stars! "Why do these things always happen to me? So, if you're going to end up sad after being happy why not just scrap being happy and stays sad." I suppose the origin of this business name for the back story of this bad pastry is to be Grumpy! Despite of this bad pastry, I would make another attempt for a return visit for either almond croissant or chocolate chip scone.

My regular size chai latte was $5.99, plus an additional charge of $.85, for my requested almond milk. I understand that. Things are up in price pretty much all around. It is May 2026.
