The Cadillac Lodge is your one stop shop for all things COZY! After walking around downtown, stop HERE to warm up by the fire place, relax on some of the comfiest couches & indulge in the small winter menu that the lodge offers! There are snacks & holiday drinks available. Both warm & cold options for beverages. Endless cozy corners and tons of places for family photo ops. The vibes are immaculate and the service always comes with a smile from the employees! There are small games spread out on the tables and Christmas decorations galore! Make sure to stop by this holiday season to check this Lodge out, you won't regret it!

I've come to the Cadillac Lodge every holiday season for the past several years and each time I think I get a little bit more disappointed. First off, the decor remains the same each year, so it's just become a bit monotonous after a few years. Secondly, they have a capacity limit so if they're at capacity, you will be waiting outside for others to leave before you go in, which in and of itself is fine. My gripe is more with the fact that when you go in, the lodge is so packed, it's hard to find seating and incredibly overwhelming. I would recommend either more seating or set your capacity limit lower. I know this would mean probably a longer line during the busy times, but I think it would make for an overall better, more enjoyable experience for all once they get inside, making it overall more worth it. Just a suggestion! The couches and fun patio furniture are all super high quality and cozy. The food and drink selection is limited and overpriced, which is the other downside. I got a hot cider, my friends shared one of their alcoholic bevvies, but for the most part nothing else on their menu appealed to us, and I would honestly recommend you to just get a nice meal nearby as there are so many options in the area, ranging from fast casual all the way to fine dining. It's also important to note that you can take any of your drinks outside of the lodge. Alcoholic beverages, I can understand. But mine was a non-alcoholic hot cider and already in a to-go coffee cup and I wished there could be a distinction between the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as that it just a bizarre rule for the non-alcoholic ones when I would've really have liked to carry around a hot cider to warm my hands up while I was walking around Detroit. What might've been most mystifying were their list of holiday-themed shots! All of the names of the shots evoked a certain image of what might go into it, and it was always wildly different. For example, they had a shot called "Grinch Green Tea," but the ingredients in it were whiskey, peach schnapps, sour, and Sprite. Where's the tea?? Where's the green?? I'm confused lol. Overall, if you're in Cadillac Square checking out the shops, which is something I highly recommend, and even popping over to the Monroe Street Midway across from the square and need a place to duck into to warm up and get a bit of holiday cheer, I would recommend coming here. But I wouldn't recommend getting any of the food or honestly staying for all that long, because there is just a ton of other exciting things to be doing during the holiday season in downtown Detroit!

We love Cadillac Lodge! Whether we stop in for a hot cocoa, or to relax in the cozy couches and warm up, this place is the perfect addition to Cadillac Square. The ambiance is so perfect. It's the best back drop in any photo op! You must come here on a date, or bring the family! It's perfect for all ages.

We were here to check it out during the winter before Covid. It has this fantastically warm feel, like the lodge it is. It's the most ideal to go during the holiday season and the ice rink at Campus Martius Park. Parking can be a challenge to get a decent spot nearby. I would recommend downloading the Detroit park, makes parking in Detroit much better. The interior is an enclosed clear tent. You would never know it once you are inside that it's a tent at all. The winter decor is so warm and inviting and cosy. It's a nice little sanctuary from the chill of the cold after skating on the Campus Martius rink or walking through the downtown markets at Cadillac Square.

Every holiday season the Cadillac Lodge pops up in downtown Detroit. Located next to Campus Martius makes it the perfect Christmas season hangout. Typically I stop in this charming location a couple times a season. The little pop up shops leading up to the Lodge are a nice touch as well. Very unique Christmas season shops to get us primed for our holiday shopping. The design and style inside is truly over the top Aspen ski lodge themed but so much more. Plenty of custom chairs and couches to relax at. Games on the tables for the adults and kids to enjoy. The bar is top shelf and they have all the holiday cheer to warm you up with the craft drinks. The outside of the lodge has seating and another bar area with fire pits to keep you and the family warm while enjoying the fresh cold air. It's a seasonal must that will bring you and your family joy as well. Just give em a try and you be glad you did.

I'm getting old. The price of Beer, it wasn't cheap. It was a nice atmosphere, my second year coming here for one night of the Christmas Season to see the tree. $8 for a 16oz Bud Light. The was the low end. It was warm in there, plenty of Tables out in the plastic tent. I've never been in the business itself, just the Christmas Tent.

Ahh! Adorable pop up right in the heart of the holiday center of Detroit--Campus Martius. It's chock full of sweet little seating areas decorated with ski lodge flair. It's completely cozy and the perfect place to take out of town guests or celebrate some holiday fun with friends and family. There are signature seasonal cocktails and a menu of comfort food bites like chili and It gets super crowded on the weekends but on a weekday it's easy to get a table, although they close earlier on Wednesdays and Thursday (9pm and 10pm respectively) so prepare for that. They're also only open through the end of January, but it does chill out significantly after the new year so it's easier to get in there and enjoy a longer visit then.

Every year, Cadillac Lodge has been such a joy to see! This year seemed to be a little more sparse, less blankets and pillows, but still warm, cozy, and enjoyable. My family has stopped by three times this year already. Grab some grub from Waffle Cabin or other food vendors nearby. Drinks inside are hot and delicious! The big table games are tons of fun for kids. Someone (a magical elf who just appeared out of nowhere) even came by to offer my children coloring packets and crayons while we waited for a game. There was a DJ at some point and I bet they have other events. Cross off the remainder of your nice list by finishing up your holiday shopping at the pop ups right outside the door. While there are fireplaces and it's cozy, dress warm. You may still want that coat and hat while you sit

Detroit does a lot of cool things - this is a great example of taking some open space downtown, and building a winter lodge, that's fun fur adults, serving alcohol, but also family friendly with games also. We were there with the kids around 7pm and it was crowded with a ton of people all having a fun time.

4 for the atmosphere and ambience! It's so amazing! It's so warm and cozy after a cold winters outdoors day snuggling by a fireplace in a ski lodge. So cute, pretty and everything I want to be starting at on a perfect winters date The dj was also rad good. Me and my fiancé were dancing away to the grooves of this guy. He was so good at his song choices and transitions 1 -2 for the drinks as they were honestly not good and mighty I add expensive. Do not I repeat do not get the Manhattan. It was the worst one I've had... meaning it didn't really taste like one. I've had manhattans before where I was like it's ok but this was a definite new low. The apple cider here was not bad but I quickly started understanding why there were more canned drinks than cocktails in other people's hands... Get a pour of something meaning wine or beer NOT cocktails. Otherwise it is a cute date place. I would recommend for a winters night for a couple hoping to spice up some romance or a blossoming new one :)

Such a beautiful pop up. If this place doesn't put you in the Holiday spirit I don't know what will. Beautifully lit with Christmas music at just the right volume so that you can still carry a conversation. Cozy fireplaces with comfy chairs, and who can resist an adult hot chocolate. I highly recommend grabbing a Santas little helper at the bar. Make sure you keep all alcohol inside though. The nice officer at the exit will remind you too.

Nate and I stopped in on our most recent visit to Detroit and had a lovely experience. The space is tucked away but had a surprising amount of outdoor space--we were there in January but I'd love to come back in the summer. We were greeted right away and given a spot near the bar. The menu includes cocktails, lots of wine, and several tasty food options. It was quite busy inside, so it took a bit of time for our server to come over to us, but we weren't in a rush. They had ten cocktails on their list and I tried the bullet proof soul and Nate got the negroni alla perra. The ingredients list for some of the cocktails include things I've never heard of, but at a place like this, I just know it's going to be good. Our drinks were perfectly balanced and very tasty. We also ordered the mortadella sandwich to split--this was delicious. It was pretty messy, but worth it. It was perfectly toasted and full of mortadella. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I would love to try more of the food options. Can't wait to visit again!

There were friendly patrons all around and we chatted with other bar admirers. We checked out the coffee shop, Warda, but didn't purchase anything then, but have had several of their desserts since then and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is wonderful, indoor/outdoor bar, great outside seating - not sure how this will work in the winter? They also have very pretty stone paths with multicolor stones mixed in for a very peaceful beautiful look. It inspired me to add some multicolored stones to my garden! I can't wait to return.

It's sleek, intimate, and effortlessly cool without feeling pretentious. The lighting, the music, the overall aesthetic -- everything feels intentional. It's the kind of place that works just as well for date night as it does for a night out with friends. Now let's talk about the drinks -- because that's where Standby really shines. The cocktails are creative, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced. You can tell there's serious thought behind every ingredient. Whether you're into something bold and spirit-forward or smooth and refreshing, they nail it. The food matches the energy of the bar. Every dish feels curated, flavorful, and plated with care. It's not just "bar food" -- it's thoughtfully crafted and pairs perfectly with whatever you're sipping. Service has always been attentive and knowledgeable. The staff knows the menu inside and out and makes great recommendations without making you feel rushed. Downtown Detroit definitely feels different now, and the crowd has shifted a bit, but none of that took away from what The Standby is. That alleyway magic is still there. Walking in honestly felt like a little blast from the past, and it made me really happy. It ended up being a highlight of my trip home. The food was phenomenal. The crab was so buttery, the waffle situation was amazing, and the overall execution across the menu was impressive. We ordered a lot, basically half the menu and everything hit. * Short rib plate: delicious, rich, and comforting * Chicken schnitzel with curry mustard: WOW. Juicy, crunchy, fresh, perfectly seasoned. The curry mustard was everything, and that little pepper on top? 10/10. This was hands down my favorite dish. * Drinks: They had brand ambassadors for Wild Turkey, giving out free Old Fashioneds, which was honestly the perfect touch. We also had a small ounce pour of a mezcal that was beautifully smoked, super aromatic and smoky in the best way. Service was great too, we had two different servers, and both were attentive and kind. The only miss for me personally was the pastrami salmon toast. I wanted to love it so badly because I love salmon and I love smoked fish, but it just wasn't for me. I actually sent it back (which I felt bad about). I think the slight sweetness, (possibly from the tomato jam)threw it off for my palate. I was craving something fully savory with a bit of acidity. I think a thicker, crunchier toast and a more umami-forward, citrusy or pickled element might have taken it where it needed to go. That said, I know pastrami-style salmon is a thing right now, it just didn't work for me. Everything else? Truly amazing. The Standby will forever be a place I come back to when I'm home. I'm excited to return, see what's new on the menu, and relive that magic again. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10. Will absolutely be back.

Between the two of us we had the beet salad, burger and steak tartare. Burger was good, but not the best smash burger that I've had. Beet salad was fine, however the cream cheese was a bit overpowering against the orange oil. It was dying for some citrus. Steak tartare was a bit dry, meaning that a small dab of olive oil would have added to the richness and overall mouth feel. I did not really taste the egg although I did see a dab of yolk on the tartare. Needed a bit of salt also to enhance the taste Menu was small, but it did cover a cross section of French bistro dishes. All in all, I thought it was a bit overpriced. So I will have to consider returning for a full meal. I would come back for a burger and beer at the bar.
