I called them and let then know I wasn't aware of the extra charge and I asked them for future reference, can I just get a basic cleaning with no upcharges. Their answer - if we recommend upcharges and you refuse them, we cannot treat you at all. So you pay their extra prices or you can go see someone else. When did dentistry become a god damn money scam??????? DON'T GO TO THIS OFFICE UNLESS YOU HAVE UNLIMITED MONEY!!!!!!

This practice checked all of the boxes. They are very professional and kind. No pressure, no telling you that you need more than what you're asking for, they let you make your decisions and provide transparency with pricing. They don't send you automated spam texts for years after visiting and they treat people fairly. I'm very happy with Dr. Tenney's level of expertise and service-minded support. I was sent to an Orthodontist to retrieve the broken instrument and complete my root canal. This used all the rest of my dental benefits from insurance and they said I needed to pay out of pocket for my crown and other quoted work for a decayed tooth that eventually fell out. The removal and recovery process went super smooth and I never had any issues! Once I woke up from the surgery, I was escorted out to the car by an assistant/nurse, along with my designated driver. Dr. Hoaglin even made a point to call me the night after surgery to check in and make sure that I was feeling okay. I seriously cannot recommend a better place than this one! I would also like to highlight the service they offer with wisdom teeth removal, which is the Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). I truly believe this helped my healing experience tremendously and definitely sped things up. I was never in any pain after surgery, more so just uncomfortable due to jaw stiffness. This was all manageable without pain meds! By day 7 or 8 I started feeling back to my normal self and felt 100% by day 12.

I went with a different place at first because it was closer to where we were living. Well, that turned out to be a mistake. I ended up having a bad experience there and finally switched to S&L. Dr. Ngo and his team fixed everything the other dentist had messed up. Right away I knew my wife had been right all along. I've been going to S&L for four years now and they really are the best dental office I've ever been to. Dr. Ngo has removed all my old metal fillings and replaced them with modern ones, plus he's done a couple of crowns for me. Everything looks and feels great. My wife has also been extremely happy with all the work he's done for her too. I'm almost 55 and I've seen a bunch of top-rated, highly recommended dentists over the years, both here in the US and a couple in Mexico. Nothing else comes close. One thing I have to mention is how good Dr. Ngo is with people who hate dental visits or get nervous about pain. His work is excellent, but it's the way he takes care of you that makes the biggest difference. For example, the way he does Novocaine shots is unbelievable. You barely feel it at all. He is knowledgeable and professional and always takes time to check in, even during routine cleanings. I usually don't wait more than 5 minutes for my appointments. There have been times where I needed immediate dental care and they are able to work with you to fit you in as quickly as possible. I have recommended him to many people throughout the last 8 years! At a previous dental office in Miami I had a terrible experience that started with a routine cleaning that turned into a root canal 6 hours later and left me with significant anxiety with all things dental related. I found out a few years later after moving to Arizona that the root canal was not performed correctly and I had to get it re-done. Dr. Ngo is incredible at calming nerves and making you feel safe when in uncomfortable situations, especially with anxiety. He talks through every step in advance and during the procedures, so that there are no surprises. He takes extra time when numbing the mouth so that the pain is tolerable and at times barely noticeable. I really appreciate this and feel like it's rare to find. I highly recommend Dr. Ngo and S&L Dental for all your dental needs.
