Look at the fresh catches of the day- fresh and beautiful
Schon C.

It's a restaurant that you hear about and once to enter you remember forever. This is the spot a very nondescript , not fancy restaurant that has amazing fresh out of the ocean seafood. The dinning room lacks the decor you will find at some of the touristy locations many of you will visit. It's not about the decor, it's about the amazing way your fresh seafood is cooked up. We ate and shared the Deluxe platter- it has more than enough food for two adults. The flounder was out catch of the day along with shrimp, oysters, scallops, fries, crab balls, and grouper bites. We also had fried okra, green tomatoes, and hush puppies. All delicious and made perfectly. I don't care if you feel decor means the food is great, you are missing the experience of dining at this restaurant. The staff was a delight to talk to and we were taken care of as quickly as we came in. This is a restaurant that will live in our vacation memory forever until we return again. If you live local stop reading my review and head over immediately. You live here and should experience this food. Thank you for the best meal we had while vacationing in Myrtle beach hoping your business blooms faster than my review. Can't believe it's been 20 days since leaving this wonderful spot. I am still thinking about their food

Homemade crab cake. Ohhhhhh...
Ruth B.

Absolutely fresh and delicious fish and steamed crabs!! Friendly and busy and completely home grown. Got there for lunch and M had the fish special with grilled flounder (or catfish or whiting) , 6 shrimp and hush puppies and French fries. I had a dozen of the sweetest steamed blue crab and made enough of a mess for the pickiest (pun intended) crab lover. No bar but Pepsi products and to M's delight - cherwine. They were getting oysters in that evening and I'm seriously tempted to go back tonight!! I read earlier that this place only has fried fish and this is NOT the case. $2 extra to grill or blacken anything and they serve oysters any way you can imagine. Something else very impressive, the cook (owner?) who was as sweet as can be said that they had gotten a huge fish shipment in that day and he had been cleaning fish all day to supply restaurants in the area. So, this is where Myrtle Beach restaurants go for their seafood!!! I don't think that can possibly be a better recommendation!!! Update: I'm not proud. We were back for dinner the same day. Hoped for oysters but they didn't come in. Tomorrow??? Anyway, had scallops and fried green tomatoes and homemade crab cakes. The breading was light and crunchy and divine on the crab cakes. The homemade tartar sauce was unlike anything I've tasted and absolutely delicious!!! ) I will try to recreate at home). This place is an absolute MUST for its fresh seafood and incredibly friendly people and homemade everything. Tomorrow. Oysters.

The staff was great and the location was super convenient, but the food was just ok. Not enough seasoning used so the fish was bland.

Fried Flounder (Fish of the Day Special $17.99)

We loved our dinner here and service was excellent. You order and pre-pay at the counter for dine-in and staff will deliver ordered food to your table. The fried Flounder and Whiting (Fish Special of the Day $17.99) were perfectly cooked. Their accompanying fried okra, hushpuppies, and fried shrimp are the best!! The hushpuppies were moist on the inside. The fried shrimp were delicious and lightly breaded with seasoning. We returned the next day for Fried Oysters dinner and Grilled Grouper dinner which were delicious. I bought an entire key lime pie (last one) which was homemade. It is not fancy, but who cares because this is the best seafood restaurant in Myrtle Beach! Please note that they open daily at 11:00 am not 10:00 am as displayed in Yelp.

Well this place is not the most attractive inside . The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly . The food was fresh fried the French fries were delicious we had the halibut sandwich it was fresh . I think since we are use to fish fried in corn meal this wasn't to bad just not what we expected. The crab cake was not like a Maryland crab cake which we are use to so it needed additional seasoning for us but it was a nice portion . More like an order and take out spot .

Fried whiting, shrimp, hush puppies, & fries.

A very unassuming place, but yum!! They have a ton of options and it's cooked any way you'd like. We splurged and had the whitefish, fried. It came with 6 shrimp, fries, slaw, & hush puppies. We added a side order of fried okra and the mini crab cakes. Everything was cooked perfectly and not over seasoned or dried out, like most of the chain restaurants. This is a definite must try if you're in the area.

Country Boil, just shrimp
Keith B.

Amazing food, fresh seafood, great service, best seafood in this part of Myrtle Beach, I had the crab cake with potatoes and corn, perfectly cooked, no remoulade sauce but a tarter sauce that's better! My wife got the low country boil, it was perfectly cooked, shrimp spot on, outside looks a little rough but the food is delicious and staff was great! Give it a try!

Crab legs, hush puppies
Karen W.

Fresh and tasty scallops and crab legs all freshly made while we waited. Sweet potato fries and corn were great. Owner made the food and then came by our table to ensure we enjoyed it. Don't let the outside of the building deter you! We will be back'

Slow service. The food is usually okay but only go if you have time to wait. Waited an hour for my food to still not be cooked.

The salmon was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the hush puppies were crispy on the outside and deliciously soft inside, and the slaw was fresh and flavorful. The snow crab legs were the star of the meal--sweet, tender, and incredibly fresh! I also loved the local market-style atmosphere. It has that casual, fresh-from-the-market feel where you can enjoy your seafood right there instead of just taking it home. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and the portions were generous. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to!

If you need a drink refill, you need to go up to that. We went for steamed crabs only, but the rest of the food looks amazing. People I was with have eaten there before and raved about how fresh and delicious everything in the menu was. This trip was steamed crabs only. We ordered #1's for $48/dozen. We also ordered sodas. They do have beer to go with the crabs too! Didn't wait long. They were good. However, I don't think they were #1 level. At the most maybe mediums. We had several that were paper thin and no meat. They were full. Very watery and not seasoned nearly enough. We weren't expecting Maryland style crabs as we are in South Carolina, but weee hopeful they would be steamed and seasoned a little more. They do need those little food fans on the tables as the flies were annoying (we sat inside). Had to put napkins on top of our cups. The service here is lovely! Just super friendly and welcoming. Shoutout to Justin?? Might have been Nick - ugh, can't remember. Young kid, dark hair. They were so busy, and they were for sure stretched thin. He did his best and even checked on us once while also bussing tables, taking orders, sweeping, delivering food, etc. Was debating between a 3 or 4, but realized that shouldn't hold them responsible for replicating a different style of steaming crabs and seasoning them. The service and atmosphere were great. Their food in general is delicious,

The atmosphere was nice, lots to look at and the vibe for someone's birthday looked entertaining while it happened. I'd give it a 4/5. Unfortunately while the advertising for this place gives off 5/5. The actual food was just okay. The eggs were definitely overcooked. For how fast we got our order, once it was ordered, felt like they had each thing already cooked and sitting in possibly a warmer in the back and once they know what combo you're getting quick toss it together in a already mixed seasoning of your choice. We got the Cajun seasoning at medium heat. There was no heat at all. No kick. Quite disappointing bc the hottest option was one step above medium. I'd hate to think that the no spice or mild options are just bland and blander. Try it if you want. Or don't. Maybe it was an off day for them. We were craving a local seafood joint where we could get some fried fish, fresh seafood, etc. Upon first glance, the place looked like a cute, charming little seafood shack on the main stretch. However, after getting out of our car in the parking lot, we were met with an absolutely devious, horrible sour smell. The smell could best be compared to a canine anal gland smoke bomb thrown at us as soon as we opened the door. After making our way through the stench cloud, we made it inside and were seated immediately. Our waitress, Shannon, seemed nice at the first interaction. Our drinks arrived fairly fast and we were ready to order. My husband, who has a shellfish allergy, made it a point to relay his allergy to the waitress after ordering a fish sandwich. Yes, we brought my husband to a shellfish restaurant, and yes he was fine with it. Shannon relayed to him that all of their fried items are fried in the same oil, so cross contamination is very likely. (Understandable, I guess, since they probably don't have a ton of people with shellfish allergies coming to a shellfish restaurant.) So, my husband asked the waitress what menu item she would recommend that would best avoid any cross contamination. She replied, and I quote, "I don't know, I guess a salad?" ...... After we all just stared at her for a few moments in confusion, my husband just decided to take the risk with the fish sandwich. Maybe shouldn't have, but it IS the end of our vacation and maybe he would rather die than go back to work, I don't know. So, we all just prayed he didn't swell up like a blowfish as we ate our food. (all ended up being fine with no epi pen stabbing needed, however, it probably wouldn't have been the only stabbing in Myrtle that night anyways). All of the food was genuinely very good. My seafood boil for one was HUGE and probably could have fed the entire table (excluding my allergenic husband. Even though he was getting pelted by my seafood juices and rogue remnants the entire time I ripped the heads off innocent crawfish). Something that was a bit odd was they had a photographer going around the restaurant and asking if people wanted group photos. In a nicer restaurant, it would maybe make sense as a keepsake since everyone looks nice and put together. But do you think I want a photo memory of my bare bingo wings swinging as I shove my fat mouth full of dripping seafood boil with my rubber gloved hands. Naw man. Leave that shit in the past. I wouldn't take that photo for free, let alone pay for it. (Not to mention I'm probably in the background of all the photos other tables were suckered into. I can't wait to be forever housed in a family memory as the big girl downing 10 pounds of seafood boil like a dog who is trying to quickly get something they shouldn't have down their throat.) A little after we received our food, we wanted some waters for the table. Shannon literally disappeared. Nowhere to be found. My husband and brother-in-law even went up to the bar to ask for waters, but it was so crowded, they couldn't get anyone's attention. Finally, Shannon, returned from what seemed like a great journey across the state of South Carolina and was able to get us our waters. Not sure if this is understaffing, or if she genuinely just didn't care to check up on us. Maybe I frightened her away when I snapped the rubber gloves onto my hands to begin my feast. 18% gratuity is also automatically added on to parties of 4+, which not sure if I agree with that. I understand doing that for larger parties, but for 4 people is interesting. Not sure if the service we received was in line with an 18% gratuity, but the food was overall pretty good. My takeout container for the seafood boil was a foil loaf pan and a sheet of aluminum foil the size of the American flag. Shannon did wave it with pride as she walked across the restaurant with it. We appreciate the patriotism and thank her for her service. Was the food good? Yes. Would I go back? Maybe. Best meal I ever had? Absolutely not. But it was good and can't wait to sensually undress my remaining leftover 5 pounds of seafood boil later in the peace of our condo. Unphotographed and with a promptly arriving glass of water.
