She walked us through all the options at different price points in a way that felt completely neutral and respectful. There was no subtle steering toward something more expensive. My partner and I came in to return a jewelry piece he surprised me with as a gift. I didn't even open the clear jewelry case since I immediately knew this septum ring was too large for me to wear. We clearly told the lady behind the register that we were there to exchange or return the piece. She tells us to wait for the piercer since others were waiting ahead of us. After waiting for over a half hour, I asked again, "do we really have to wait for the piercer to return this piece???" She said the piercer handles the jewelry. We were there for a total of at least 50 minutes! The piercer finally comes to us and tells us that jewelry cannot be returned after it leaves the shop. Why didn't the lady sitting behind the register give us this information as soon as we told her why we came in to the shop, instead of making us wait for almost an hour to just be extremely disappointed after speaking with the piercer? This place sucks, no respect and no consideration for patrons' valuable time. I have never been to a tattoo and piercing shop where the person at the register doesn't have basic knowledge on the shop's jewelry "policies" Back story: my partner goes in to this shop to surprise me with a septum ring. Another piercer helps him with picking out the jewelry. Bless my partner's heart but he knows nothing about piercings. He shows the piercer a photo of what I usually wear and somehow they pick out a piece that's triple the size of what I wear. The piercer never told my partner that jewelry is final sale. This isn't something that can be expressed immediately because obviously you need a little time to see the tattoo set. I got all 3 tattoos within the same year & they are ALL blown out now. You can't even make out what they're supposed to be and there is literally no detail left at all. Just really fat, thick, blown out lines. It's a horrible thing to discover outside of a reasonable time to complain, but for all of you potential customers, I would steer clear. All 3 tattoos are unidentifiable at this point & I have 4 other from a different artist from years before hers that still look bold and clear. Just a warning... i'm sure most people just chalk it up as a loss by the time they see their ink spreading but for me to have gone through it three times and now be stuck with three horrible tattoos I think it's worth mentioning. Also! Never... ever let an artist working on you without a price set ahead of time. I made this mistake of letting on of their artists work on me without a set price who turned a 6 hour $1000 tattoo into a grueling $3400 18hours using a ridiculously time consuming method of solid black fill while getting stoned every session. Real pros here.
