Salad Italian dressing

Traveled from Fl looking for a hometown place , I'm from Binghamton. Place is packed and parking hard . So lucked out w 2 seats at the bar, of course nice people next to us to chat with. Bartenders were great ! Eggplant special was OK, could have been hotter, sauce is very good . Honey got veal parmigiana that we both enjoyed, huge. The lemon drop martini was right on

Not from here and just by chance found this local Italian restaurant and it was amazing! Food, service, ambiance, everything. Highly recommend and will be back when I am back in town!!

My family and I dined here twice in one week last week and both visits were seamless from start to finish. We had the privilege of being served by Danielle both times, and she truly delivers a fine-dining level experience. She was attentive without hovering, genuinely warm, and clearly invested in making sure we were pleased and well cared for. Although I grew up in the area, I moved to Las Vegas 25 years ago. I have enjoyed many exceptional dining experiences in LV, and Danielle is that high level. I was home for my mother's funeral, so her kindness, etiquette, and professionalism meant more than I can say. On top of that, the food is obviously absolutely out of this world, easily the best restaurant in the area. I sincerely hope Danielle is our server every time I'm back home! PS: My Aunt always orders the lasagna, but EVERYTHING on the menu is outstanding!

I was in Binghamton for work so we all went to Cacciatore's for the 1st time and the place was packed for a Tuesday night. The place was nice when you walked it was pretty much right into the bar area and then the Host station after that it was the dining room which was packed so we waited about 45 minutes for a table. We all got our drinks and talked but the place was loud just from different conversations going on. When we were seated we were a party of 6 so we ended up sitting at big table in the bar area. Our waitress came shortly after we sat down and took our drink orders and then she came back with our drinks and put bread on the table which was warm and the butter was soft, we were all hungry so the bread went quickly. And then she took our appetizer and food orders. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms which when it came out it was a huge portion I ate a 1/4 of it and it was delicious, of course I ended up taking my leftovers home. The waitress and waitstaff were all friendly and knowledgeable and it was a pleasant experience. I recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, you will not leave hungry.

We came to this place after a busy day and before a busy night of continued work with colleagues from across the state. This was the night of the famous cacciatore special of spaghetti. It was a packed house and they were even able to just fit us in with a group of 10. The staff was amazing as they kept engaging with us, even though they had many tables to wait on. I got the regular special of spaghetti and I can understand why people are there . The flavor was authentic and on point, but especially as the price was very reasonable on the night. Each of our party who had different items also really enjoyed what they got. Cacciatore's is a place to visit in Binghamton when you have the time

Love the overall look of the restaurant. Simple on the outside, extravagant on the inside! Food was hot and fresh. They bring bread first if you desire it, and it is soft on the inside and nice crispy crust on the outside. The waitress was perfect. Answered any questions we had and also was kind and very attentive.

Loud but good. Hometown bar, good food, surprisingly good atmosphere. Good drinks, a diamond in the rough.

The food might be good but the owner is very rude. How she has stayed in business all the these years is beyond me.

If you're looking for a slice of Binghamton history served with a side of old-school Italian charm,…read moreCortese Restaurant is essentially a local landmark. Since it first opened its doors in 1947, it has been a staple of the community, maintaining a vibe that feels like a step back into a more classic era of dining. Here is a breakdown of what makes this "East Side Institution" a must-visit: The Atmosphere & History Founded by Angeline Cortese and her sons, the restaurant has remained in the family for nearly 80 years. It's the kind of place where the booths are cozy, the lighting is dim, and the service is professional yet warm--making it just as suitable for a milestone anniversary as it is for a casual Friday night pizza. Menu Highlights The Homemade Sauce: This is the heart of the kitchen. Reviewers often describe the sauce as perfectly balanced--tangy with a hint of garlic and a natural sweetness from vine-ripened tomatoes. It's rich without being heavy, and it coats their fresh, homemade pasta beautifully. Veal and Peppers: A standout for fans of traditional Italian comfort food. The veal is tender, and the sautéed peppers add a sweetness that complements the savory notes of the dish. It's a hearty, authentic choice that showcases their "from-scratch" philosophy. Mozzarella Sticks: Forget the frozen variety; these are a fan favorite. They are hand-breaded and golden-fried, often served on a sampler platter or as a standalone starter. They are exactly what you want: a satisfying crunch followed by a perfect cheese pull. Baked Clams: Prepared in the classic "Oreganata" style, these are a sophisticated way to start your meal. They come topped with seasoned breadcrumbs and a touch of lemon and white wine, capturing that seaside Italian flavor. Tiramisu Cake: No trip to Cortese is complete without dessert. Their Tiramisu is light, airy, and layered with the right amount of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone. It's the perfect, not-too-sweet finish to a heavy meal. Pro Tips for Your Visit The "Hot Pie" Pizza: Cortese is famous for its unique rectangular pizza. The sauce is tangy, and the pepperoni is tucked under the cheese, which prevents it from getting greasy and keeps the flavor locked in.
