Fun spot on the water. I usually stop for a bite and drink when I take the boat out on the lake.

This place is terrible. We have been a few times and the service has been worse with each visit so this will be the last. Wife and I went today stood around inside for 10 minutes not one person spoke to us or asked if we had been helped. My wife asked if we could be seated outside, she was told "someone would get to us". We waited another 5 minutes and a couple walked in and walked outside and sat down. My wife asked another server the protocol of how we put our name down on a list or how we could get seated and she was told "if there was an open table just go sit down and a server would come to your table", we went and sat at an empty table. Another 15-20 minutes went by and still no one even spoke to us. If you want to enjoy a meal on the water save yourself some frustration and go elsewhere the only person there that has a clue is the bartender, he's great but he can't be everywhere and most of the servers stand around and chat. Cabo's used to be a great waterfront bar with good food, music, and atmosphere, but it has gone completely downhill. On a Friday night there were maybe 20 people, no band, no DJ, and the place just felt lifeless. They don't even use the downstairs anymore--no more sitting on the swings watching the water, which used to be the best part. The building is falling apart: chairs are peeling and broken, bathrooms don't work properly, and the TVs are awful. It honestly looks abandoned. The only positive left is the staff--they're friendly and do their best--but even they've been cut back. The owner is clearly running it into the ground. Maybe they're planning to sell, and if so, I can only hope someone buys it who actually cares. Really sad to see what this place has become. read more

Poor management, poor wait staff and very rude. The management is the most unprofessional I've ever seen. I do not recommend this place.

My husband and I came here while it was dead and sat outside on the patio. Waited for 15 mins without a server while we saw other patio tables being served. We asked someone cleaning a nearby table if we could order with him, he stated "you need to order at the bar." After going to the bar and ordering, this same guy waited on 3 patio tables while never once asking us if we needed anything. I'm fine with bar service, but why were we the only table who wasn't being served on the patio? We are Hispanic, the other 3 tables were Caucasian. Is this why? Discrimination at its finest. We left after that one round, I didn't even want to stick around to find out anyone's names. I've came here before and haven't seen this waitstaff and haven't been treated this way. If you grew up around the area you've probably been to Cabo more than a dozen times. Dare I say it's a staple around these parts. It's a nice place by the water. Big patio space outside - nice to hangout at. Pool table, table tennis table, darts and a few arcade games can be found inside. They have some pretty good daily specials. We came on a Tuesday and took advantage of the $2.75 Domestic long necks. They also had $3 Mexican candy shots and $5 Margs. Our bartender also mentioned that their kitchen is open till midnight which is nice. Service at the bar was friendly and attentive. Surprisingly the place was pretty crowded on a Tuesday but we never had a problem ordering. There was live music that played music a Millennial would appreciate lol. Overall I would recommend coming to this place if you're in the area. Take advantage of the daily specials and enjoy a few drinks on the patio with the beautiful view of the water. read more

Not my first time here and normally enjoy the vibes. However, SUNDAY was NOT a Fun Day!!! Our waitress was so so rude. We are a very chill table, even got up, got our own drinks & no complaint. We understand being busy but cannot understand being mean. We didn't see the waitress after we ordered (at least 45min-1hr, never came by to check on the food) and when we went inside to politely ask for the check she didn't even apologize just said that she was busy. After we paid she walked over and slammed the check to sign on the table and didn't say anything. What's the point of going to such a beautiful place on the lake if you're met with such ugly attitudes. I will say the food is always good I just wish the servers were a little kinder. read more

I love this place. I usually sit outside on the patio over the water and have a margarita. The margs are so good! 2-3 will have you feelin great @ $6 each. The food is really good too. My friend and I usually come here when we decide to go out for girls night. Saturday nights they usually have a small live band inside. Just a really good atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. A group of about 25 seniors booked a pedal barge trip on Clear lake so we made a reservation for dinner before the barge. It was conveniently nearby. The ambiance is cute...kind of rustic dive bar with a great patio view. We pretty much overwhelmed the small staff because it took over an hour to place orders and get our food. We had to either rush to eat it or get it to go to make our party barge reservations. The food was okay. Came here on Taco Tuesday. The tacos were great. Definitely try the ahi, the shrimp and the beef are my favorites. Love coming here and getting to see the water while I eat. We walked over from Barge295 I love the vibe of Cabo with the party music upstairs and live band downstairs. Our bartender was awesome and attentive even though he was busy he mad it a fun perfect experience! I'm not sure if the gentleman's name was Jerry or Terry but he had a longer beard and shaved bald head was awesome. I ordered 2 different round of shots for our group to celebrate my birthday. I do wish we had seen a waitress near the tables by the Dj but other than that the atmosphere was hoping clean and the music spinning was on point. Just got turned away buy the guy at the front who checks ID'S. My cousin and I walked up to the entrance at 01:35 and security turned us away cause he said he felt like we were too intoxicated. Never have I ever been denied entry for this reason. We had just gotten off work at 12:45am, live down the street, and wanted to enjoy a beer or 2 before going home and going to sleep. Absolutely shocked this happened to us considering we were both completely sober. I get it, they want to go home early and don't like when people come in 10 min before last call... but last call is at 01:45 and what happened tonight is not good for business... extremely disappointed since I've been a regular here for years... I have been here on one other occasion prior to my last trip and thought the bar was cool. What I did like was the spacious deck. That is about it though. It gets super crowded and moving around is a workout. Now here is my complaint. I did not get a name, but the bouncer outside needs some customer service skills. When we walked up, he looked to be talking to a group of friends. My friend ran up the stairs and as soon as he got up there, he was told he could not come in because he was drunk. How could the bouncer determine that from someone running up the stairs? It seemed to us, he had already made up his mind from our walk from our cars that he was not letting us in. The people he was talking to was clearly drunk, but I guess that was ok I guess business is great to turn away sober people trying to have a good time. Been there quit a few times to be know there and she one day had her panties in a wad while I was minding my own business as usual and she had an issue. I showed the Bouncer a government copie online (texas.gov) of my drivers license after someone stole my wallet the night before. I was already at the bar two shots in and two shots in front of me and she told me to leave the bar because I did not have a hard copy ID, the way she announced to me was ridiculous and then accused me for kicking me out a bar twice a year ago. A year ago? What does that have to do with now? And I'm already been served and a guest for well over an hour. do not like to be blamed for something that has not ever happen because I don't know her and she does not know me. Today I came with a hard copy ID to grab a few drinks and she would not let me just because she might have her own personal problem with me. I asked the bouncer why thay could be possible when I'm just a casual paying customer on a regular. Because of the bad respect of management and how they disrespectfully talked to me. I will no longer purchase there or encourage anyone to do so with the bad attitude she has as a management. We had just come back from Kemah, TX disappointed with the outrages crowds when we stumbled on Cabo. This place has both indoor seating and outdoor waterfront deck seating with a large bar and a great menu. The food was delicious, and the seafood was so fresh. The Bang Bang shrimp tacos were definitely my favorite! The staff was great our server Steph was so friendly and attentive she made the experience that much better. I don't think I've ever been to Cabo sober so this review will be a little hazy. I have been a handful of times and it's always the last stop of a crazy night. When you walk into Cabo after midnight on a Saturday night, here's what you see. A huge bar on the water. A long bar next to a dance floor and a stage. They had a live band playing when we arrived. Service is quick for a busy spot unlike other spots so that's a big plus. If you really want to get crunk, walk on the patio, take the stairs down, and you'll find an outdoor bar where a DJ is spinning jams on a huge patio. This is where you want to be. This is where you want to dance. This is where you bump and grind to some hip hop. You can thank me later. read more

I was at this place yesterday at lunch. It took 10 minutes to get a beer. It took another 10 minutes to get my food which were two shrimp tacos. There were four shrimp per taco. It was $11 for two tacos. It was $15 for total bill now I was in the food business for 30 years, this is a complete rip off I understand food cost and labor cost.
