Really miss the old place Sugar Home Plate. Just because a local "magician" bought it out and fixed it up to make it modern doesn't make it a good place to eat. The food here is subpar and it very bland and way over priced for the taste. They don't offer nearly enough options if you don't want a pizza or a burger so basically stuck ordering not what you really want. We use to ride our motorcycles here to eat but now we avoid it as much as possible and only eat here if we absolutely have to. The service is not good either, the only one that actually gives a damn about their customer is Aurora because she is from the original place and knows us the others are outsiders and not friendly at all. And there is another blonde that works there older woman who always has an attitude and can't seem to get orders correct. Cablp is the most delicious place in town! I've been multiple times, tried multiple dishes, and haven't had a single thing I didn't love. My absolute favorite dish has gotta be the Fish n Chips, flaky and delicious, and the batter is spot on. Other favorites include the Chicken Parm, the Mindfreak Burger, the calzone, and let's not forget the PIZZA, ooooohhhhh the pizza! Criss and his family are very down to earth and kind, the employees are (for the most part) quick and efficient, especially Bella, and it has a fun casual vibe. The Italian ices make for the perfect ending to the perfect meal and I am extremely happy to have such a quality spot here in the valley. Don't expect any lunch items before 11:00 am. Menu indicated that breakfast was served until 11am, but didn't really indicate that anything besides breakfast isn't served until 11 am. So that was a little disappointing since they claim to have good pizza. We went there atriums 10:30 am, and they asked if we wanted to wait around until 11 am for any lunch items. But otherwise the staff were friendly. The breakfast food was not impressive, not bad at all, but nothing other than typical diner food. The restaurant is a diner style environment with stainless steel table tops. It is a small restaurant, but in the middle of the Moapa Valley, in Overton AZ., I can't see a larger place being sustained by that small town. I had a milkshake there. It was a typical milk and chocolate syrup flavor shake. This was a simple diner in a historically rich town. The whole Chris Angel "mind freak" branding, is lost in the restaurant. A funguy burger with onion rings, when I drove back to my work site I realized the food was way over cooked and burnt even. I travel here every weekend for lunch on my motorcycle from Las Vegas and it never disappoints. My favorite menu item is the Mindfreak burger and the chips/fries that you can get with it are really unique and delicious. I've also enjoyed their chicken wings as an alternative. We've eaten here several times. I love that there is a nice variety of menu items to choose from to satisfy your cravings. The hash browns are seasoned perfectly and the pancakes are the size of your head. The burgers are cooked to your desired temperature, which I like because I prefer mine with a light pink center. The mozzarella sticks are a great starter. The marinara it comes with tastes so good. So far my favorite item on the menu is the Chicken Parmigiana. It comes with a side salad and two garlic knots. The chicken is moist and crispy at the same time. There are still several items on the menu I can't wait to try. They have an extensive coffee selection. Worst place ever for breakfast!! It's absolutely gross. That pizza is no where near close to New York Pizza. My husband and I went to visit the new Cablp restaurant on Friday, July 23rd, 2021. WOW...... I don't even know where to start. The place was very busy. People standing and just waiting. Nobody even acknowledge our presence for over 20 minutes. It was so freaking hot in there, we had sweat pouring off of us. We discussed leaving several times but stuck it out. Bad Bad Bad Choice! Finally, we were seated. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DINING PRIVACY. The tables are so close together that you are literally dining with your neighbors only 6 inches away. We got our drinks in plastic cups. Due to the extremely hot temperature in that place, the ice in our drinks was melted before our order was taken. The menu sucks. Supposedly, it is the best pizza around but only cheese pizza is offered on the menu. Oh, you can add your toppings at a whooping $3.00 each for the sharable size. Holy Damn that is expensive! The dinnerware consists of very cheap paper plates and plastic silverware. After waiting one hour and 45 minutes, we get our greasy pizza. We were on slice #2, when we began eating our disintegrating paper plates. YUK... Then, our silverware broke attempting to cut the pizza crust. Holy Crap. We then asked if we could have a refill. NOPE. No refills. But you can buy another drink for $3.95 each. Criss Angel is a joke. He is a cheap A$$ to the fullest extent. Let's not forget to mention the 16 employees that we counted that were literally tripping over each other and not having a clue what to do or how to do it. Very rude help. Way over-staffed to have this poor quality of service. We do not see this place surviving. Nobody wants to have a simple pizza dinner that takes 2 hours and 45 minutes, costs $42.85 with crappy service. Good Luck Criss Angel. You best work some magic on this place. He should have focused more on keeping tradition and pricing for the locals. Completely over priced!!!!! Perfect lunch after a hike at the Valley of Fire! We came hungry and the food did not disappoint. A Criss Angel restaurant in the middle of Overton is very unexpected, but was a really pleasant surprise. This place is had lots of little quirks that made me smile, like all the puns in the menu, the funny comments on the walls and the Criss Angel only parking spot. The service was excellent, all of the employees were great. We didn't have to ask for anything, waters were refilled before we could ask, and they came around multiple times during the meal to make sure we were happy. The food was great, the garlic knots looked so good I forgot to take a picture before digging in. The Margherita pizza and chip fries were my personal favorite. After our meal our server offered us free samples of the Italian ice, which was refreshing and delicious. Overall this was a charming small town restaurant and worth the trip. If you happen to be hiking at the Valley of Fire, I would highly recommend stopping in to cool off with an Italian ice and fill up on pizza and burgers. My only disappointment is that I didn't happen to see Criss Angel himself, maybe next time I stop by I'll be lucky enough to spot him. read more

After passing through Overton for about 31 years and never missing a stop at Sugars for yummy food, we happened into CABLP for an unexpected meal which was perfect for us. A great burger, prepared very well and with good portions and sides, was delivered by friendly and efficient servers. The comfortable and fresh environment with the complete remodel is looking really great. We happened to sit at table for two deemed the "love table" ! The table lit up and flashed, a very small thing but fun for us. We was greeted by Chriss personally which was also a nice touch. He has the highest hopes for this restaurant and the positive impact it will have in Overton. The bar was set high by Sugars, but the new restaurant is really fantastic.
