    Pepperoni and bacon personal pizza

This place was good.. cute atmosphere.. good food, service a little slow but looks like they were short staffed and working hard at keeping up. Me my husband and 2 teen boys had a variety, pizza, the mind freak burger, the rock n roll zinger, fries and rings and they were all good. The fries are sliced thin and super crispy which we love, the pizza was good, the zinger was great.

I recently saw a New York Times Instagram post with the following caption: "Is the Restaurant Good? Or Is It Just the Ambience?" I immediately thought of my recent experience at the celebrity-owned CAblp (pronounced Ca-blip) in Overton, Nevada. Owner Criss Angel seems to have heavily invested in marketing, branding, and ambiance at CAblp with witty catchphrases, both interior & exterior murals, pictures of his celebrity acquaintances adorning the walls, a secret magic room in the back, and Travel Nevada name-dropping the restaurant on their website. Unfortunately, the food here doesn't quite measure up to the hype. Here are a couple things that stood out in particular: 1.) The restaurant sells water ice, and the menu also mentions the pizza recipes are from the East Coast. It just so happens that I went to grad school in Philly, and I was a member of a Baltimore Pizza Meetup group for years. The water ice at CAblp is only sold by the pint, so I didn't even try it since authentic Philly water ice stands operate like a lemonade stand. They are open seasonally and thrive from selling single servings of water ice, which people buy to quickly cool off during the warmer months. Mind you, Overton, NV is in the Mojave Desert and much hotter than Philly, so I was baffled that I had to go to another restaurant/ice cream shop to get lemon sorbet to cool off after my intense 6-mile hike (with no tree cover) in the Moapa Valley. In terms of their pizzas, the pictures I saw posted online did not resemble any of the mouthwatering pizzas I remember from the East Coast, so I didn't consider that option. 2.) My server-- who was phenomenal--recommended CAblp's Cobb salad over the chicken wings. As a plant-based omnivore, I mostly eat salads, smoothies, bean dips, nuts, etc. during the week, and I have a couple servings of fish/seafood/meat on the weekends. So, I eat a lot of salads, and this one simply didn't measure up to any of the salads or bowls I've had recently.

Diner ambiance very cool! I was expecting a very Big Pickle but got an average wedge pickle (disappointed) the menu says "with a big pickle". Not a big pickle wedge. The hostess was very nice the cook too.

We'd been out rzr riding in Logandale and I told my friends I really wanted to check this place out. 9 of us came in on a Sunday late afternoon and the place wasn't very busy. The pizza had great reviews so I had to have it. Everything we ordered was fresh and extremely tasty. We expected bar food but the quality was much better than that. The food and the drink menu have a huge variety, which I thought was cool. Our server was super awesome. She gave us recommendations and the boys all got the energy drink slushees (and beer of course). I had an iced vanilla latte and it was awesome. I recommend the pizza, the mozzarella sticks, and the chicken bites!

Took a trip out to Moapa and Overton for fun with my girlfriend and infant son. Thought we'd stop in here. Criss Angel's Breakfast Lunch & Pizza, pronounced "Ca-Blip" as it says on their menu, was not as "magicky" as I imagined it would be decor-wise. There are some adornment of photos of Criss with some other celebraties, but that was about it. In regards to food, the garlic knots were nothing to write home about. Wasn't particularly soft or garlicky. The marinara sauce provided for dipping was too watery so it wouldn't grip onto the knots. The Fun Guy burger was the saving grace. It was nice and juicy. That was the best part of the meal. I got a side of onion rings and those were just fine. P.S. There were two flies the that were bothering us the whole time we were dining. I could not shoo them away. P.S.S. Kristen was our server and she was cool.

We enjoy riding our rzrs on the outskirts of Nevada and found ourselves very hungry on a Sunday afternoon. We looked up the closest restaurant that intrigued us and this was it. Being a Vegas local we know all about Chris Angel so figured it was a must try. There was a large group of us, we were promptly sat and had the restaurant to ourselves. The food came out fairly quick and refreshments were also prompt. The food honestly took me back, I was amazed at how good it all was. My fiancé got the monster blt, which is truly just a club sandwich blt. And I got the burger which was cooked perfectly. I look forward to coming back here!

The CABLP is a fun Chris Angel themed restaurant in the middle of nowhere but has some really freakin tasty burgers, awesome employees, and is sooo clean! I can't remember the name of the burger but I ordered the only one that comes with mushrooms and it was DELICIOUS!!! When I asked for a medium done burger, this place delivered. My mouth is watering again thinking about it. The garlic knots were okay. I've had better. They weren't really soft and doughy like I like and the tomato sauce was meh... but I would 100% go back for that mushroom burger! And our waitress, I believe her name was Kirsten... she is a sweetheart! She's very attentive, she's lived there forever, and took the time to tell us all the fun and noteworthy things to do and see in the area. I would go back just because of her as well. Thank you Kirsten if you see this! :-)

We got there a tad before noon and the Husband had been eyeing the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs $17.99 which is typically part of their Breakfast menu that goes from 7 am to 12 noon. The waitress said it wouldn't be an issue, so that's what he got. He was quite satisfied with it and there wasn't anything left on his plate. The Little Gal got Chili Cheese Fries $7.99 and it was a decent size order. She ate most of it and was satisfied. I had originally planned on getting the Fish & Chips $14.99, but then I saw Potato Skins $8.99 on the menu and it's been a good while since I had some potato skins. I ordered the Fried Zucchini Sticks $8.99 and potato skins. The waitress let me know there was a side order of the skins for $3.99, which was just perfect! I was quite content with my zucchini and potatoes. Those potato skins hit the spot! The waitress was great. She was very nice and just on top of things. She seemed very personable. She explained that only the Pasta and Entrees were available after 3 pm but the House Favorites, Salads, and Specialty Burgers were available then as it wasn't very clear on the menu. (At least that's what I remember her saying...) We sat with another family and they had no issues doing separate checks. Their menu had a good variety to choose from. If you're in the area, check out Salt with a touch of Sugar. They've been around for about a year or so.

Chili Poblano Mexican Grill…read more You ever get that craving for Mexican food so strong it starts making decisions for you? Yeah... that was me. Out here in the middle of nowhere, where the road stretches forever and your options are basically "wait and hope" or "eat what's in front of you," Chili Poblano Mexican Grill showed up like a desert mirage but real, and way more satisfying. Now let's be clear you're not strolling through a big city with ten food trucks lined up and a mariachi band on standby. This is the kind of place where convenience becomes king... no, scratch that royalty. And when you're hungry enough, that crown shines real bright. Walking in, the place was clean, simple, and welcoming. No nonsense, no fuss. Service? Solid. Friendly folks who get you fed without the runaround. Exactly what you want when you've been on the road too long. And the food? It hit the mark. Straight up. No overthinking it it scratched that itch. You know the one. That "I need something hot, flavorful, and filling right now" kind of hunger. Mission accomplished. Now here's the honest breakdown: If I'm in a big city with endless options, maybe I'm calling this a strong four stars. But out here? In the middle of the Nevada wild, when this place comes through exactly when you need it? That's a five-star moment. Sometimes it's not just about the food it's about when and where you get it. And Chili Poblano Mexican Grill delivered right on time. Would I come back? Out here... absolutely.

The flavorful and sweet mole sauce has so much flavor but not one singular flavor. Rich, not oily. Even their red rice has taste. If you are heat-spice adverse, this Mole enchilada plate is a good choice. I love spice-heat and to have a light runny nose so their valley burrito with steak fit the bill. I also ordered BOTH the red and green sauce that comes with it in a separate ramikin and they were both delicious and addictive. Also, I found thinly sliced french fries among the cheesy steak pieces within the burrito. Nothing soaked in oil, it had premium thin steak pieces (no fat-gristle-hard pieces) and spicy flavors that is making my mouth water all over again while writing this. Save your appetite for this tasty Mexican stop between Vegas and Zion. Complimentary chips and salsa!
