    02/06/2022 We have just celebrated our one year anniversary…read morewith OpticalTel and have found their TV and internet service to be very good. Some issues came up with the TV service in buffering and the voice synch being off, but they have been resolved with a major software update that has been rock solid. We've had three times the system died and it took hours to come back, but it only takes an overeager backhoe operator moments to sever the main fiber optic cable. The best thing about this system is the amazing internet service. We are getting over 200 Mbps both up an down the majority of the time which makes loading websites fast and simple. Video conferencing like Zoom is a delight to work with, far better than what we had on Spectrum. As a heavy internet user, I am delighted at how strong this OpticalTel service is, no complaints. The two wireless mesh transmitters work well and they have eliminated all dead spots from the road out front to the back yard. There's a strong signal everywhere which is how it should be. Finally, I have to give customer support a vote of confidence for keeping things working. OpticalTel uses the Amino TV box for 100% wireless TV service. I have had two that failed, but if I call them today it highly likely that the technician will be here the next day to replace the box. It's not a critical issue as swapping the dead living room box for the one in the bedroom takes just a couple of minutes and we're good to go till the technician replaces the dead box. If you are interested in superb internet service and very good TV service, you can't beat OpticalTel's bulk rate of $55 a month. It comes with two wireless transmitters, the fiber optic box outside, and two TV boxes with a boatload of channels and 250 hours of DVR HD recordings.

    I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience with Xfinity/Comcast has been beyond…read moreunacceptable. Out of nowhere, some random technician showed up at our property without any notice or appointment to do "some work." Not only did they leave a complete mess behind, but they also left a bunch of cables lying around -- a serious tripping and electrical hazard. To make it even worse, they left our patio gate wide open, and my dog escaped because of their negligence. Totally irresponsible and unprofessional. After this chaos, our internet -- which had been working perfectly fine -- suddenly stopped working. So not only did we not ask for any service, but their unannounced "work" actually created a new problem we didn't have to begin with. Naturally, we called the company expecting them to fix their own mistake. What a nightmare that turned out to be. Hours on the phone -- getting transferred from one department to another, over and over -- with nothing but meaningless apologies and zero actual help. After nearly five hours of being bounced around, they finally scheduled another technician to come and finish the half-done job... only for us to get a call later saying it needed to be rescheduled because the technician was late. Seriously? They cause the problem, leave a hazard, lose our connection, waste an entire day of our time, and then delay the "fix" again? What a disgrace of a company. If this is what they call customer service, it's beyond broken. Absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful to their customers. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Comcast/Xfinity -- you should be ashamed of how you treat paying customers.
