Unbelievable value. Rates are no more than you would pay for a typical Holiday Inn hotel room...but rather get a spacious, modern yet rustic look suite at the front door of Zion National Park and includes amenities such as outdoor hot tub, theater tickets, and laundry facilities. Service was very friendly and helpful. I'd like to keep this place a secret so as not to have to compete for the rooms, but this place so deserves such a favorable rating/post. read more

Outstanding location right at the Zion entrance. The room was great and the front desk staff was very helpful with information. Really great common areas in the hotel and the shops surrounding are super convenient to get food for the kitchen. We'll definitely be back. read more

I absolutely fell in love with this place. We went up for the Zion half marathon and booked the Judy Suite. Room was spacious with a wonderful balcony view. It had a two person shower and a jacuzzi tub with a fireplace right next to the tub. The finish line was right in front of the hotel which was wonderful after running 13.1 miles. The people at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back read more

Amazing accommodations! Everything from start to finish is great at this place. Everything is over priced so we love to get a room with a kitchen to cook but stop in hurricane at a grocery for food. The food here is limited and crazy priced. Also bring your own beer, booze and wine. Either not good quality or crazy over priced! Slept well, hiked well, swam well and ate well! read more

Expensive but well worth it. Our room was exactly as described, the second floor facing the Virgin River and Cable Mtn. It was clean and spacious. The registration staff was polite and helpful. read more

The room was spacious, clean and the main bed extremely comfy. Lots of large bath towels and nice toiletries. Housekeeping was really good. I was in the wall bed with my teenage daughter. It was the creakiest thing ever, it made for a terrible night's sleep. As did the extremely loudly humming fridge, the noisy air con, the guests above us, who sounded like a herd of elephants every time they walked around (thanks to the wooden flooring), the guests next door, (granted not hotel's fault) who thanks to an interconnecting door, we could hear playing their guitars and partying all evening and finally the plumbing. Every time the loo in the bathroom above is flushed, a torrent of water is sent down the pipe which is located right near the bed in the main bedroom. It is extremely loud throughout the suite. The location is extremely convenient to visiting Zion and the outfitters on site was great. Really well run. It was useful having a guest laundry. Overall, it was a nice stay but I strongly recommend asking for a second floor room if noise bothers you. read more

Our stay at the Cable Mountain Lodge couldn't have been more pleasant. The suites are large and accommodating. Everything is clean/new and the staff helpful and friendly. We stayed in a luxury/classic suite, which included a comfy king size bed, stove top, microwave, full size fridge, flat panel TV's, wifi, etc. The location is literally right next to the park entrance. Our favorite experience in the park was a hike to Angel's Landing, You can see our video at: http://youtu.be/RBKSOuBLV6k The Angels Landing Hike is a "must do" and the trailhead is a short drive from Cable Mountain Lodge. If you are considering a trip to Zion, you couldn't go wrong with The Cable Mountain Lodge. read more

Our family of five stayed here over spring break. We stayed in a Wall Suite, which had a Murphy bed and a hide-a-bed in the main room and a king in the bedroom. We were all comfortable. The rooms are well-furnished and there is a kitchenette for making breakfast / lunch. The best part about the place is its location. It is a short walk from the park entrance and the shuttles. It is also a short walk to the grocery store and several restaurants. I read some other reviews that said that the walls were thin. We did not experience that. We did not here any of our neighbors. I highly recommend this place. read more

Wonderful experience here! It was exactly what we were looking for: a nice place for 4 adults to stay near Zion. Even after looking through reviews and pictures, I was pleasantly surprised. Customer service was spot on, from the moment I called to reserve. Room was perfect size with great kitchen where we made breakfast before hitting the park. Everything was new, beautiful and clean. One of my favorite parts was our second floor balcony. We'll be back! read more

Stay here if you're visiting Zion! It's perfectly located directly at the park entrance. The rooms are clean and quite. The staff is also friendly and attentive. There is also a pool, a market, and a brewpub for all of your immediate needs. There's also the added convenience of direct access to the park and the town shuttles; once, parked, there is no need to use your vehicle. Both shuttles run frequently and will deliver you to any desired destination. In addition to park proximity, there's also the added bonus of being adjacent to Café Soleil. A wonderful little café with excellent coffee, food, and staff. read more

Perfect location, right next to the entrance of Zion national park. Our room was super clean and updated and the area surrounding was super cute- shops, restaurants, etc. Also has beautiful views of the mountains, will definitely be coming back. Loved this place so much that were already planning a trip back in the fall! read more

This is my first I've actually stayed at Zion, in past times we just came for the hike and left. Decided this time to stay in town and explore the park and the city! This hotel lodge was amazing, from the hotel room, the quietness, the animals and etc. Great for large families and also just a simple getaway from the norm. George was amazing and answered each question I had and also have tips on what to do, very hospitable. Will be coming here again! read more

Loved our stay here. So close to Zion and plenty to do right in town. Enjoyed the view from the hot tub each evening and nice option to walk rather than get in your car. Shuttle service is easy as well. read more

Great place. Stayed six nights in late October and the rate was $138 for a suite with kitchen, two LCD TV's, nice living area and seperate bedroom. Zion was open to vehicles, too, because the shuttles had stopped for the season. The place is about $300 per night in the summer, but the suites are probably worth it for many people. read more

The lodge is ideally located, very clean, has large suite rooms, and is staffed with friendly professional folks. We stayed in late November for three nights, which is near the end of the season for Zion park, so the room rate was very reasonable (a bit over $100). The suite room is reasonably large. The main room has a convertible couch, sitting chair, coffee table, TV, and side tables. Some rooms also have miscellaneous small cabinets. The kitchen/dining area has a square dining table with seating for four. The kitchen is on the small side with a full refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. The sink is half-size and the electric stove has but two burners. It is stocked with a couple knives, pots and pans, colander, cups, wine glasses, small cutting board, silverware for four, dish towel, etc. It is just enough for limited cooking, but not for preparing any large or complex meals. The bedroom had a nice, firm, high king size bed with quality linens, dresser and table. We slept comfortably and warmly. The bathroom is large, but with a standard size bathtub. Entertainment was a flat-screen in the main room and in the bedroom. The channel selection is limited and appeared standard definition (not HD). That didn't bother us since we didn't come to Zion to watch TV. The views range from nice views of the canyon to those of adjacent buildings or rock walls. We had to change our reservation dates a couple of times due to the changing weather (there was an unusually long period of rain) and they were very accommodating. Our room was no longer available for three consecutive nights by the time we finalized our reservation, so they took care of moving all our things between two rooms. We just came back from a hike and went to our new room. When we had mediocre wi-fi reception in one of the rooms, they lent us a spare in room wireless access point, which fixed everything. When we needed a fairly late check-out, they did everything they could to make it happen. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. read more

Great lodge, perfect location, a min walk to Zion park entrance. Everything you need is next to the lodge - shops, equipment rental, restaurant, even a movie theater. A bit expensive but i thought it was worth the price -- large, spacious and clean rooms and bathrooms. read more

I really wanted to LOVE our stay at Cable Mountain Lodge but a couple of things really bothered me about this place. I can't say I will never stay here again but lets just say we're going to try other places before we come here again. We stayed here over NYE for three nights. During this time, they had a $75 off of a three night stay. When I booked our room through their website, I couldn't add the promo code. There was no "fine print" regarding the discount, just a "valid through" date. I figured they would honor it when we checked in...no, they didn't. We figured they wouldn't most likely due to the holiday but still. They should state the conditions of the promotion. We arrived about 7 PM and the front desk clerk was less than friendly...no biggie, we get our keys and head to the room. Now the room is lovely...very cozy, nice furniture, etc. We had a suite with a small kitchen so it was nice to cook in a couple of nights. There were however issues...the first was that we were given a downstairs suite and if we ever stay here again, it won't be downstairs. The people above us sounded like elephants stomping around...so much that at times the ceiling fan would shake. We didn't complain because we figured we probably would have to move if there was availability and we really didn't want to do that after we had unpacked. We tolerated it...thankfully the folks above us when to bed early I think because the stomping ended at about 9:30. The other major issue we had was that front door didn't have a door guard like the majority of hotel room doors have. This was important to us because our toddler was sleeping in the pullout bed in the front room. He could easily open the front door even with the deadbolt. The deadbolt unlocks when you pull the door handle down. So we actually tried to move this hutch piece that was in foyer to block the door (we figured our boy wasn't going to be able to move it) but it was bolted to the wall...great! So since I knew I wasn't going to fall asleep thinking that my kid was going to open the door in the middle of the night and freeze to death, I slept out in the front room with him on the incredibly uncomfortable pullout bed. Which I imagined it would be since I have yet to sleep on a comfortable pullout. Anyway, it would have been nice to have that extra security. We mentioned this at check out and we were basically told that they don't have door guards because people lock themselves out all the time by exiting through the patio door...OK! I'm not even going to argue that one. So I fully expected the pullout bed to be uncomfortable but wasn't expecting the plush looking king size bed in the room to be horribly uncomfortable as well. We're not sure what it was...lumpy pillows, heavy linens but neither my hubby or I had a restful sleep the entire time we were there. It was disappointing because the bed surely looked comfortable. Lastly, we were checking out on the 2nd of January. We had thought about extending our stay one more day so we looked online to see if our room was still available and it was. We thought about and decided that we should probably get home so instead the next morning, we asked for a late checkout. Nothing extreme...until 1 or 1:30. We were given a whole hour...thanks! We left promptly at 11 AM. Other than these issues, our stay was good. The rooms are beautiful, the location is great but for us, it still comes down to good old customer service. What made it great was spending the day in Zion and driving to Bryce. The hotel was just good, I guess. Springdale is great town and going there is a great weekend escape from Las Vegas. Cute shops, galleries, and good restaurants. The Thai place across the road from Cable Mountain is amazing! Some of the best Thai food we've ever eaten! read more

Best place to stay in Zion! The location cannot be better - a 3 minute walk from the entrance of the park, visitors center and shuttle bus. The rooms are very spacious and have an overall nice decor. Our room looked like it had been recently remodeled - nice carpet, granite countertops, comfortable bed. It was just perfect. The hotel is set up like a compound with a grocery store, gift shops and a restaurant. The pub / restaurant has outdoor seating, heat lamps and a beautiful view of the red rock mountains. We stayed 3 nights and it completely exceeded our expectations. Based on other reviews, I requested a room in a courtyard because some rooms look out onto a parking lot. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I can't wait to come back. read more

We loved it so much we stayed an extra day. Spacious rooms nicely decorated. We had a one bedroom suite. We had to switch rooms to add a night- both had beautiful views of the mountains. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The location is great. A long walk into the main shops in Springdale. Brew pub, theater, market on site. Just cross the bridge to enter Zion park and hop on the park shuttle. read more

Fantastic place. Located right next to Zion National Park South Entrance (walk to the Visitor's Center within 2 minutes), Virgin River is literally just behind the lodge, high quality furnishings in very comfortable rooms. We took a suite with a family room, kitchenette (great for family eating in), and a separate master bedroom with balcony. On the same campus there is a restaurant, marketplace, and large screen movie theater. The Zion Adventure Company is also on site, where we rented equipment for hiking The Narrows (staying at the hotel gives you a small discount on the rental). This lodge costs a bit more, but it offers a lot. Highly recommend. read more

My family stayed 4 nights in a suite enjoying the views and our comfortable suite. The Virgin river was right there and you are steps away from the park entrance. The kids enjoyed the pool after long hikes and the views were the best! A free movie in the theater and discounts at the market were also a plus. You can't beat the location that's for sure. read more

Absolutely deserving of 5 stars. Can not say enough about the accommodations, wonderful staff, location and amenities. Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights. Only location in Zion that is adjacent to the park. It sits on the Virgin river where the kids swam and played for hours. Guests can reserve a barbeque on the riverside ( picnic tables and chairs are there too) and they provide all of the utensils. Perfect summer evening after a long day of hiking. Anxious to return. read more

Highly recommend suites for couples and families. Theatre, market, laundry room and coffee shop are pluses. Kitchen is sufficient. Bring a portable oven roaster if you need to bake a ham, turkey, etc. Only major appliance missing is an oven but no big deal. Nice getaway. Customer service depends on who helps you. Big bonus, this property is at the entrance of Zion National Park. read more

Still a great place in the best location to access the park in time for the first shuttle. Limited toiletries so don't be shy to ask for more from the front desk. Laundry facility for guests is an added bonus. read more

Very relaxing room!!! It was very beautiful and conveniently located right outside the park!!! Very affordable too!!! Will definitely go back read more

After viewing all the amazing reviews I was very excited for my visit to Cable Mountain Lodge. The location of the lodge was lovely and the park itself is absolutely amazing. However, I was disappointed with the amenities of the resort (key word) and the number of children screaming in the courtyard/pool while their parents were no where to be found. Additionally, I was under the impression that the views of the mountains would be amazing from the porch, but instead our view was of a small dirt hill approximately 10 feet away. While I was able to read and relax on the deck with a glass of wine, it was without the scenary that I was hoping for. Additionally, our suite was not in the best state; it was dark due to the broken blinds (only one side could be raised) and the coffee maker didn't work (coffee = necessity for 6:00 AM hikes!). When we called to ask for a new coffee maker we were given a bit of an attitude by the staff. I don't need to be pampered but these are basic requests when the cost per night is $225 in Springdale, UT! read more

HORRIBLE!! DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP!!!! I will never stay here again. My family and another family stayed here and we had a coupon, (which is why we stayed here in the first place) so we ended up paying 89.00 for 1st night and 69.00 for the 2nd night. We can afford to pay more for a room, but thought we would give it a try. BIG MISTAKE!!! They put me, my husband, and our small child in the room right next to the heater or something of that nature, and it was so loud that I could not sleep, annoying. The 2nd night they put about 10+ people (which included about 5 small kids) in the room above us. We arrived to our room after a nice day of hiking around 5pm. The whole freaking night it sounded like they were literally running around, jumping up and down all night long, at 830pm I had enough. I called the front desk and they said that they would talk to them, 1/2 hour later it was still going on. I called the front desk again, and they offered us another room. I asked the front desk lady what exactly was her thinking behind putting a party with that many kids right on top of us? Do you know what she actually said to me? She said and I quote" You only paid $69.00 for a room that is normally $120.00" I then asked her if that made us 2nd class citizens as well. She just laughed. We changed rooms in the middle of the night with our small child who just wanted to sleep. No manager ever got involved to make us feel better for being treated like horse crap. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT EITHER. I have so many friendS and family who will not being staying here either. I forgot to also mention the car alarm that kept going off in the parking lot starting at 3 in the morning until about 8 in the morning. Complete BS. If you are the owner and reading this, you should know what is going on and maybe train your employees common decency and common sense. Peace out! read more
