Cabinets To Go - Never happier with the shiny white on the top in the dark gray cabinets on the bottom - Kitchen & Bath Near Me - San Diego, California

These are the most poorly made cabinets. Very expensive and cheaply made. Damaged when they arrived. Terrible customer service from corporate and the only people you can speak to are people who basically read from a script to give you lip service. No concern whatsoever from this company for their clients. Management at the store has no authority to help the client. Poorly run company with terrible product. I should have stayed with IKEA. read more

Joshua Brown and Jerry and very professional. This location is worth driving to from the South Bay. We had a great experience from start to finish and we are using them again for my Parents kitchen. We get a lot of compliments about our cabinets! I was recommended to them by a friend and the cabinets are worth every penny. (HIGHLY SATISFIED) Before we found CTG we spent one horrible day walking into multiple cabinet and granite stores and it was a waste of time and most use particle board or compressed wood. (MDF, OSB, CHIP WOOD) The doors on these cabinets are real wood! We were impressed that there was no ridiculous wait during this pandemic with all the shortages. We got our order in 2 weeks. I recommend you make an appointment during the week as weekends they get a rush of walk ins. They work with Cosentino who have high end quartz. (USE THEIR CONTRACTOR) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DIY, Use the contractors they recommend so you can have it all done right the first time and efficiently. (WE REGRET DIY!) Thanks again Josh for helping us with our dream kitchen! Super grateful, Jeff and Yvonne H. read more

We just completed a complete Kitchen remodel using cabinets to go. Upon review after doing a lot of research and obtaining 3 quotes including reviewing the produce to be used we selected to use Cabinets To Go. Luis was fantastic in helping us match the correct cabinets to best go with our design. He was knowledgeable and efficient even when we made a couple of changes just before ordering. Luis provided us with a couple of different contractors contact information. We chose Taurus Construction. They did a great job installing all cabinets and the remodel. I must say we were not disappointed with either the Job or product. A BIG THANK YOU. read more

Another HORRENDOUS experience. "STILL WAITING". Now they have blown me off and not returning my phone calls. Gloria from customer service said she was going to call me and never has. Then Brittany called me then NEVER called me Back. District manager Michael Gottschiling was supposed to get back to me he never did. Jason Delvis at jdelves@cabinetstogo.com the "PRESIDENT" doesn't even care. Please do not go to this store. Customer service is a joke and their cabinets are cheap. On the other hand, Josh the manager is too good for this store. They should learn customer service from Josh. They would rather i file a Lawsuit than Take care of THERE PROBLEM. read more

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!!!! This place is a scam and has scrupulous business practices They implied the cabinets are already assembled they are not, you have to pay one of their contracts $150 to measure. We did and ordered a sink from them. The sink did not fit and they knew this said we just need to make a cut to make it fit!! They sold is spice rack to make up for a small gap but no one could make this work or look right, you CANNOT exchange or return unless you pay a insane restock fee and forget getting any help once the deal is closed. You also cannot order anything other than a 8ft piece of any counter if you wind up need a more. Go to IKEA!! read more

The delivery and expectation of cabinets was very disappointing. Our kitchen did not get delivered to us until 3 weeks after the accorded date. Plus it was missing parts, which took another 4 weeks to get them. I had to call the store twice and finally I had to show up in person to get the missing parts. I bought the cabinets in person but yet I had to sign documents online. Just be aware the delivery and expectation of the cabinets not arriving on time. I will not recommend to friends and family or to anyone else. read more

Completely horrible service. They cannot deliver the cabinets as promised and paid for and all they offer as a solution is to refund the single wrong cabinet. So tell me what good is a new 15k remodel kitchen with a missing "tooth" Horrible. Stay away read more

LUIS and Minnie were awesome! My wife and I stopped in one Saturday morning on our way to Mor furniture, and we're so glad we did. Luis was very friendly and helpful. Even without exact measurements we got a great idea of the layout for our kitchen. After remeasuring, We ordered the cabinets, had them delivered, and in a very short time we had a brand new kitchen. We also made some changes along the way, that's when I worked with Minnie, very sweet and helpful. The base cabinet drawer glides are really heavy duty allowing the drawers to extend out fully, and the soft close feature is top quality. The wall cabinets also have the soft close feature if desired, with heavy duty 3way adjustable hinges. The cabinets come delivered in a box, which needs to be assembled, but don't be discouraged. It's a very easy process to put together saving you lots of money. Top quality product with heavy duty hardware, solid wood-no particle board, great finishes, awesome help designing layout, great warranty! Thanks LUIS and Minnie, we'll be back soon to remodel our bathroom. read more

I really enjoyed my experience with cabinets to go. I worked with Brian who was very helpful and quick at responding to my emails and phone calls. I was able to go into their show room and see firsthand the cabinets that I selected and ordered. I requested to receive the cabinets in 2 weeks and they arrived On Time! Putting the cabinets together is super easy and great for DIY generation! The quality of the cabinets are excellent especially for the price. Solid wood fronts and doors and the boxes are made out of strong plywood not 'cheep particleboard'. I would recommend cabinets to go to anyone looking for great quality at a inexpensive price! I made a mistake on one of the cabinets I ordered and they were able to reorder and swap it for free. Great customer service! read more

If you want honesty this is not the place for you. The employee we worked with did not communicate well. First he would tell us he would get back to us with prices/colors ect... in a few days but it was weeks before getting a response. Second, we had given him our budget and only AFTER giving us our total AND applying for a credit card to finance the bill he added over $2000 to our bill for installation. Cabinets to go is not up front about their prices OR promotions and their employees are lazy, non-responsive and liars. read more

When I first went in to design my kitchen and look at cabinets they were very helpful and Luis worked with me for hours to design my kitchen and get the cabinets and colors that I wanted. Then the cabinets arrived in a timely fashion which was great. Now this is why I have given this company one star.... It took me a week to simply get a quote on cabinet assembly, and apparently they only did one quote that week so I am not sure why it took so long for me to get my quote. Finally when I got the quote, I went in right away and paid for assembly because I was told nothing would happen until I paid. I was supposed to get a call back the next day for assembly instructions.....never got a call back. Finally after several days of calling I finally got a manager to help me get the assembly scheduled. Even when I got called back, I was told that nobody is qualified to assemble my particular cabinets and was told that they had to train someone to do it, which took extra time. Before I bought the cabinets I was thoroughly assured by Cabinets to go that someone could assemble them..... I was told that assembly is done on Mondays, so I expected it done then. Nothing happened until Wednesday, I waited again on Wednesday, and apparently there was a mix up in drivers so nobody came on Wednesday. Then I had to wait until the following Monday for another person to come out. Monday morning the assembler magically "disappeared" and nobody could contact him. Finally after countless phone calls to upper level managers they finally sent someone Monday afternoon to start on the cabinets. The fellow that came was very nice, took two days to assemble the cabinets, then went on his way. Finally thinking that I can finally get my kitchen put together, I go to my house only to learn that the hardware is missing for one of the major cabinets, and also I am missing a couple of door fronts to my cabinets, so installation cannot be completed. I called customer service and created a claim. Apparently they cannot rush shipments so it will take 4 or 5 days (hopefully) to get my cabinet hardware. I ordered my cabinets from Cabinets to go because they seemed like good cabinets and also that I would get them in a timely manner. I ordered my cabinets on May 30th, and now it is a month later and I am still waiting for Cabinets to go to get things right, or even just call me back. They have given my husband, contractors, and I so much trouble and frustration that I would never buy from them again. I have no clue when my kitchen is going to be done, and I have been paying my contractors to just sit around and wait for these cabinets. read more

This is a long overdue but nonetheless heartfelt thank you to Joshua in the Miramar store. He was so friendly, professional and helpful when we came in July to inquire about purchasing components for a master closet remodel. Unfortunately, Cabinets to Go does not carry the color or component height we needed, but Joshua advised us of what he could do for us if we were not able to find what we needed elsewhere. He also helped our daughter with a closet she wants to re-do. And he was so thoughtful - our 3 year old granddaughter was with us, and at one point, he disappeared into the back room, and emerged with a purple stuffed animal for her! That is customer service!! Thank you, Joshua! read more

Great prices and good quality cabinets. Catherine was very helpful with helping us design our kitchen and bathroom and pick out everything we need and that we were careful with our measurements and choices. She has a great eye for design too ... and wasn't afraid to give us her opinion and guidance which we appreciated!! They had a buy one lower cabinet and then get one upper free, which saved us a ton. This is unbelievable, but Lowe's was about double the cost for lower quality cabinets. We got two sets of kitchen cabinets for an average air kitchen for $8K. I'll try to update the review once we finish installing them. read more

Searched several places before finding a granite we liked. We found it at Cabinets to Go. Sales person Joanna and manager Minnie (Ximena) were professional and friendly. They used MSI to supply our granite slabs and HyTechTile to fabricate and install it. After installation, we had some problems at first. Manager Minnie was willing to work with us in a timely manner to make things right resulting in us choosing a different granite - one that is smooth and polished. So far this place is a total disappointment. I submitted information to get a quote online and received an email recommending I go to the nearest store. So we arrived at the store at 4:40, knowing they were going to close at 6:00. A man offered to help us but gently reprimanded us for not making an appointment (which was not suggested in the email). He then told us he would be leaving early but that he'd gather it info and provide a quote the next day (Friday). I provided the schematic I'd created and my husband and I were left to wander around and pick cabinets, hardware, and countertops with no suggestions or guidance. We've never done a project this big and were really hoping for professional help, and would have liked to hear about optional finishes, such as glass-front doors and other little things we saw in the store. Instead, we were reminded two additional times that the employee had to leave, so were hurriedly made some choices and are waiting on an estimate (which didn't arrive the next day). It's a holiday weekend, so maybe we will hear back in another day or two. Regardless, I'll be requesting another person to assist. Will provide an update if they end up doing this project! read more

Such a terrible experience. The design process was well over an hour for a very small and simple kitchen island. It turned out that two of the parts were backordered (which they didn't check beforehand) and so after a month of waiting we had to cancel our order. Fast, professional, and significant savings. I had 95% of my order within 2 weeks of ordering and the rest within 6 weeks for special order items. They designed my kitchen then came out to double check my measurements to ensure i could fit what i planned to order. I had 2 items with minor blemishes after shipment and both items were replaced with only a picture and email/phonecall...no issues or problems. I was a bit cautious when ordering cabinets from these guys because of negative yelp reviews. My cautions was unwarranted as they were always helpful when I asked. It is imperative that you know how to install cabinets before undertaking such a large job. They are very helpful but make sure that you do not bite off more than you can chew and take on too much project. They saved me thousands of dollars and I actually have better cabinets made of a superior hardwood than what the big box stores had to offer. Pro tip: get cabinets when they have one of their larger sales or specials. read more

BEWARE of this company. I had a very bad experience with this company. I timed the delivery of my cabinets to occur shortly after tearing out the existing kitchen and bathroom vanity. I was living out of the bedroom with only access to water from the bathtub. Very uncomfortable. I was only able to work on the place two days a week, on my and my handyman's days off. First, they did not deliver the cabinets when they said they would, so I lost a whole day of installation, even though I had already scheduled it, and had to pay my handyman. Next, they delivered a cabinet that shouldn't have been delivered. We put the cabinet together. The only place it could go was above the refrigerator, so we assumed that it was the cabinet for over the refrigerator. We installed it, followed by all the other upper cabinets in line with it, only to discover that there was another cabinet for over the refrigerator. The one we installed shouldn't have been delivered to me at all. Worse yet, the one that did belong over the refrigerator was longer, and did not fit once the floors were installed. So we had to move all the upper cabinets up an inch, and move all the lower cabinets on top of the installed floor rather than the sub floor so everything would fit together right. We would never had made this mistake if we had started with the correct cabinet. So basically, I lost another full day of labor and labor costs. When assembling one of the upper cabinets, I discovered a faulty part. I'm still awaiting the replacement part -- it is back ordered. I've now been living out of my torn up home with no sinks for weeks longer than I had planned. Lastly, not able to move forward on the kitchen, we tried to assemble the bathroom vanity. One of the drawers was crooked and we couldn't figure out why. I called customer service, and they wouldn't replace the whole cabinet, only the defective part. So, we had to spend all day trying to identify which part was defective. It was a hole drilled in the wrong place in the drawer. We spent hours on an assembly that should have taken 20 minutes. Weeks after I thought my cabinets would be installed, I am still no closer than I was the day they were deliver. I've lost hundreds of dollars in labor costs, I still have no sinks or running water besides the bathtub, and I'm missing parts of my cabinets. Cabinets to Go takes no responsibility for the costs I have incurred due to late delivery, defective product and delivery errors. Please avoid this company at all costs. read more

Amazing customer service from purchase to installation. My husband and I were impressed with the high quality of the cabinets and the affordable prices at Cabinets To Go. Josh, the store manager, helped us with the design. His positive attitude made the experience so easy. But the customer service didn't end there. Our cabinet installer, Scott, provided us with exemplary service. He measured the kitchen prior to the purchase and even offered his observations on how we might improve upon on our layout. His years of experience really made the difference and we incorporated his suggestions into our final design. I was blown away when I saw the finished kitchen cabinets. Scott's work is impecable and his work ethic is to be admired. I would highly recommend that you ask for Scott by name. Thank you for a great experience from start to finish. read more

Overall the experience was good. The staff was fine. There were a few surprises regarding the cabinets themselves. Here is what I learned. You have to decide up front the lazy Susan door hinges on right or left. The shelf in the base cabinet is a half shelf. The upper corner cabinet shelves are about 3" away from the front making you really really reach. One other thing is ... I bought white upper cabinets and you can see the hardware under the cabinet. I suggest you get the light veneer to hide that. The construction team was A+. Fernando was the lead and he was very helpful. They took pride in their work which you don't find too often anymThey were extremely efficient and worked tirelessly to get my kitchen installed for Thanksgiving. The tile guy was gold. The finishers, the plumber. Etc. etc. we're great. I would use them again and again. read more

In April, my husband built a pantry room on the side of the tiny little weirdly laid out kitchen. We began researching options to do a total rebuild. After getting 4 other ridiculous quotes, we stopped in to Cabinets To Go. As soon as we walked in, Minnie greeted us in a friendly manner, not a, "Yay, I am going to get rich off you" manner. Quite different from the other places we contacted, we were able to see various colors and styles. Prior to this, we went to a very high pressure place. The fellow thought he was being brilliant and gave us a first quote of a brand he thought was the highest quality available. It was also the brand I told him I did not like. Of all the places we checked, you go through panel upon panel of colors, textures, designs, etc. It seems as if none of them are perfect. Right style, wrong color. Good color, weird texture or the drawers do not match or just look stupid. OH! This is rather important. We found a place and the rep told me to come back with my list of dream kitchen stuff. I started discussing the animal food storage, the coffee,,kitchen things that are unsightly and I would like them put away finally. That,,,um,,,gal told me that was up to me to find spots for this stuff. Minnie at CTG listened to me. I have a place for my copious amounts of kitchen gadgets and appliances. She was honestly the only person who listened to me and my goal. I wanted elegant yet efficient. She had the design I wanted plus the color I wanted in that design. We got the Dark Chocolate and it is gorgeous. Minnie did not try to upsell us at all. She made suggestions on items, like trim, end pieces, the lit glass door cabinets, that we did not even consider. Because she really has an eye for this, she managed to make my tiny kitchen significantly larger. The pricing on these cabinets was absolutely the best we found for what I wanted. You do have to build the cabinets yourself. If you follow the directions step by step, they are very easy to assemble. read more

The prices are appealing, but I would rather go to a company I find to be more reputable and customer service oriented. The store manager did the design for my kitchen but did not take responsibility when a drawer was blocked by the stove, even though I provided the stove dimensions beforehand. He refused to provide a smaller drawer to correct the mistake even though I had already spent thousands of dollars. I called the "customer service" number to get the situation resolved. The person on the phone apologized and said he'd have someone get back to me on Monday. That was more than a month ago, and I have still not heard from them. We went on Saturday morning with a cabinet door in hand and a slab of granite, looking to add more cabinets to match. There was a thin build, dark-haired Olive Oyl looking woman sitting at the desk helping a couple. She did not acknowledge us when we walked in. We weren't expecting a fan faire - but a smile and a "I'll be with you soon" would have been sufficient. Instead, she ignored us as we waited and looked around for 15-20 minutes at what look to be like cheap quality basic cabinets (think Ikea and expect to replace them in a few years). The last straw came when the phone rang and she proceeded to help the caller while the couple sat waiting patiently. We did not get any service in person, but someone on the phone did. The reason I went to this business (I use the term loosely) is because they had cabinets "in stock" and I was on a time line with my contractor. All I ordered was a vanity for the bathroom. It was supposed to come into the showroom within a week. I tried calling and calling and calling but the store NEVER picked up the phone. I was redirected to the nation customer "care" (I also use the term loosely) department. They tried reaching the store as well, to no avail. FINALLY, just before closing, someone called and said my cabinet was in. Good thing they are open on Saturdays as I went to pick it up the next day. My contractor put it together within 2 days and OMG - there was a piece missing. In fact, Cabinets to Go KNEW this piece was on back order but neglected to tell us. After many phone calls to the national number (the store rarely picks up the phone) I was told that the missing piece would be on the truck the following Friday (now 2 weeks after ordering the "in stock" vanity). I called several times during the week to make sure that the piece would indeed be on the truck for the next delivery. The national number told me they had no idea and that I need to talk to the store. I explained that generally only one person is in the store and when a customer walks in, the phones are not answered, virtually making them closed for anyone who phones. After many frustrating calls, I finally spoke to a sales associate. He assured me that my piece would be delivered but he was going to "double check" and call me back that day. Did he call you? That is how he called me. So delivery day came and I phoned the store yet again to make sure I could come and retrieve my piece. They were just checking in the pieces and would call me back shortly to let me know. Needless to say, I NEVER received a call. Fast forward to Saturday... I called and OMG - the piece did NOT arrive. There were 200 pieces in the warehouse but they had ALL come in damaged!!! (the prices are not THAT cheap that this should happen). So now the apologetic sales person said it would come in NEXT week. I explained that my contractor would be gone by then and that the floor could not be installed until the cabinet had been completed. She said she was sorry. What good does that do me, I asked. Just then a customer came into the show room so she had to quickly put me off and tend to the warm body in front of her. She promised to see if there was a larger piece that could be cut that she could send me. I asked her when I would hear back from her. She sputtered that she would TRY to get back to me that day before closing. Here I now sit, foaming at the mouth waiting and waiting for these so called business people to do what they promised. I am frustrated beyond belief. Please beware of doing business with this place unless you have endless amounts of time and patience. read more
