Let me say that what makes this place is the employee. We really like how Gene (I hope that is the spelling of your name) helped us through the process of a quote for kitchen cabinetry. He took his time giving us advice about the pieces that we should consider, etc. We went there a little late in the day so he had to juggle a little bit to get things done. He's a great multitasker. Although he was answering phones, checking inventory, this and that, we never felt disconnected from his help. Let me first start out by suggesting that you DO NOT use this company for your cabinet needs! Poor or No communication, unprofessional behavior, lack of follow up and NO Customer Service! I had to put that out there in case you don't feel like reading a lengthy review. Where do I start??? 1) We paid for the measurements to be taken and were never assigned to anyone. We were told we would get a call within three days. Seven days later, no call. When we called for an update, they realized they never placed the order. No apology. 2) Guy comes to measure, spends 5 min and draws this child-like sketch you would not believe. We recognize his true lack of professionalism when the cabinets are installed (the ones we actually received, because if they are on back order, no one will tell you), they did not properly fit!!!! The guy was subsequently fired, but no one wants to see someone fired... and besides, how does that help our situation? 3) The guy who "measured" did not look under the stove to see if there was tile. So once installed, the unfinished floor was exposed causing us to have to hire a tile expert to finish the floor. We were blamed for not telling him so he could adjust his measurements. How the heck would we know to tell him? What happens when people ASSume? 4) Told Mark Hartman, the "manager" who manages nothing, and he blames us, the Customer, never once returned 8 calls to discuss the on-going challenges and concerns. When I did actually reach him, his cavalier attitude just diminished any positive thoughts I had about the company and his local office personnel. 5) Jennifer "thinks" she is the Manager, but has no dignity in the way she speaks or treats customers. 6) Mark told us we had to go to Corporate to get any resolutions. Luckily after having to reiterate the entire experience, they made right (a little). Sadly, you don't get to deal with Corporate unless you have concerns. end on a positive note, at least... On 2/1/2020 I went in this place to inquire about cabinet hardware installation. I stood for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged our presence. There were four people working and all of them were taking care of other customers but it takes one second to say someone will be with you shortly. Lo and behold another customer walked in and was greeted warmly. Good customer service goes a long way and I would not recommend this business because of that. read more

One star because you had to in order for them to post this, I wanted to give them 0 stars, bought flooring 2 years ago. Had a highly recommended local contractor with 30 years experience install it. He did a fantastic job. Unfortunately the flooring has started coming up, and peeling. Contacted Cabinets to Go, they sent out their own person to inspect the floor. Of course they are blaming it on installation. Now we have a 2 year old floor over the entire house that has to be replaced. We had another floor installer look at it, he said the floor is failing, it is very brittle, and recommended I contact the place I got it from, I will be turning them into the BBB so hopefully this won't happen to anyone else. read more

NEVER! Use Cabinets to Go. We tried to work with Denise on our remodel in Ohio from our home in California. Everything took forever. Once we got here, paid our $99 for the measurements, the guy came out, did the measurements and we never heard received a call. We had already had another company do measurements so we at least got a price from Denise but never the drawings my $99 paid for. Also, the bait and switch with the pricing. This week's sale is buy one get one but when we got there it was buy one get an upper for free and was told that there i always a sale of one kind or another. Be a responsible contractor. Cabinets To Go I highly recommend. My custom cabinets for the pantry is beautiful. The staff are friendly and quick. There were a couple of tiny little hiccups in the timeline scheduling and having hardware so that's why I'm not giving 5 Stars. But over all experience was good. I started this horrible nightmare with this Brookpark, Ohio store in July 2020, and in August of 2020 my order was placed, sure there was a pandemic going on but lack of communication is definitely not part of the pandemic.....I was first told in October my cabinets would arrive, that date was changed to December, then to February, then to May when I finally received them. After waiting I was initially offered a 10% discount. After repeatedly calling at least every other month, Gene offered me a 35% discount for waiting so long. After not receiving the discount the following month I was told he could not give me the discount and I would have to reach out to Corporate(Dee) which I did. Gene reached out to Dee and they discussed my situation but nothing was done. I have reached out to Dee and she did agree to the 35%. However, she is never available after they know it is me calling and I have to repeat my situation to the person on the phone and they say that the discount cannot be done, that it was applied at the beginning of my order, but it was not. So after telling me I would get a discount then not being able to talk to Dee, that is very unprofessional. Getting a discount of not even 10% is totally bad business when you are promised you would get 35% from Corporate.Totally unacceptable. 10 months of waiting definitely constitutes more than a 10% discount, that would be 1% per month.  I ended up with about a little more than an 8% discount. I am very disappointed with their lack of communication, avoidance, failure to keep their word, and following their own policy and code of ethics. I will most likely take my actions further because my experience was HORRIBLE, they just didn't keep their word. read more

I cannot recommend Cabinets To Go enough. As first time home owners, going through a total gutting & renovation of our kitchen, I was at a total loss for where to begin. We really only intended to pop on in the store, for a quick browse, after purchasing flooring across the street. Immediately, I was drawn to one of their displays & knew the style would be perfect for our new home. We then found out that we would be able to easily finance beautiful cabinets interest free for 24 months. Our wheels started turning more. But to be completely honest, it was the knowledge, help, & honestly from Lauren, the store manager, that made this whole experience wonderful for us. You, typically, are able to go on their website & design your new kitchen yourself; which, for many, I'm sure, would be easy & exciting to do from home on their laptop. For me, it just brought on anxiety. Lauren took the time to sit with me in the showroom & pretty much baby step me through the whole process. The knowledge this woman has regarding the building of kitchens is unsurpassed. She thought of everything. We moved everything around until it was perfect for us. She was able to stay within my budget....which was low. She was able to please not only me, but keep my boyfriend happy as well, which is not easy, to say the least. I just cannot thank her enough. The cabinets are wonderful quality & beautiful. The ordering process was quick & seamless. If you are remodeling or building a kitchen, do not make any final decisions until you visit Cabinets To Go. I am still waiting for cabinets, after purchasing last July...I have called their customer care department numerous times and still don't have replacement cabinets for the ones that were damaged in shipping. This store location was really rude when I tried to find out what was going on. I see that Lance G on this review and I have the same problem... all you do is get lied to... Never again, and the sad part is I love the cabinets, and people ask where I got them, I tell them, but I also tell them not to go there.. its not worth the aggravation.. and some of mine are still damaged !! read more

We selected Cabinets To Go by visiting the local store , talking with the manager, and inspecting the product. We liked the quality and we're told that "If you have any issues with defects or damage, just call the 800 number and they will ship out the parts right away" by the manager. This is the issue we have been experiencing for almost 2 months now: 25% of our shipment was defective including wrapped panels, broken camber lock, panels incompletely assembled, and not fitting properly. I called right away after inspecting my order. I was told that they would ship out the parts to my home by FedEx...that was over 6 weeks ago. I have made dozens of phone calls both to the corporate office in TN and the local store in Independence. The same response is "I don't have any information", and " the warehouse is not returning my calls or email". I was told that the regional manager was going to personally hand deliver my order at the corporate office. That was a lie. Recently I have been lied to again. I was told that my order was in shipment but that they did not know the delivery date m. After a week, I inquired with corporate who told me the items were never shipped. I asked to talk to the customer service manager and was told he would call me in a half hour. They never called. At this point I am going to report this company to the BBB and possibly the Attorney General's office on both OH and TN. I will update this post if they resolve all issues promptly. All I want is my replacement cabinet parts under warranty so I can complete my kitchen. read more

We have been trying to get replacement parts for our kitchen since August 2016! We wrote a negative review on Yelp on Feb. 7, 2018. We heard back IMMEDIATELY from a Cabinets To Go business manager who told us he would do everything in his power to clear up these issues. All he wanted was for us to be happy. Ironically, the same day we got a call from their corporate office in TN. That man said this would finally be handled and our cupboards and soft close trashcan would be shipped immediately. We told them we have nobody to install these because our contractor would NO LONGER use or install their products because of all their issues. He then said the store manager would personally deliver AND INSTALL these items. Well, it's been over 6 weeks and of course we've heard nothing! This company is TERRIBLE! We started our kitchen remodel in 2016 and it's STILL NOT DONE!!!!! We spent THOUSANDS of dollars at Cabinets To Go. Sounds like Lance G. has very similiar issues with this company. My husband and I went into cabinets to go in Independence to look for flooring for our bathroom. The first time we went in we told the male associate the square footage of our bathroom floor and asked if they could install a room of that size and we were told YES and that there were no minimums on floor size for install and that it would be around $90.00 so we looked at the vinyl flooring and said we would be back to place our order. We went back to the store about a week later and spoke with a sales associate named Lauren who also re-assured us on the $ of the install which was $89.55 for a 6x7 1/2 ft. room so after being told both times that they do smaller installs and that there was NO minimum size we placed our order. We were told our flooring was in stock and that our flooring would be in on the following Friday and that the install guy would be calling us in a couple of days to set up an install time. Since we were gutting our main bathroom we also hired a plumber and someone to install tiles in the shower so flooring needed to be in first before anything else could be done. So anyway Cabinets To Go charged our credit card for the flooring and the install and we assumed we were going to get a call from both the store and the install guy.....never happened over a week went by and no one called so I called the store and asked about our flooring and was told only our underlayment came in but not the flooring and that don't worry he would personally call the install team and have them call me a.s.a.p. and as for the flooring we would have to wait another week because they had to reorder not just mine but other peoples flooring that didn't come in on the truck. Well I waited for a call back and of course once again No call back from the store or the install guys! Well now my plumber and tile guy our put on hold and I have to move the date up w/them cause I'm still waiting on the cabinets to go to call me back. Now we are going in to the end of the second week and every time I called them they said my sales girl (Lauren) would call me back....never happened! Finally I called the customer service # and was also told by her that she would take care of it and call me back...at that point I asked her to please call me no matter what so I could let my other workers know when the floor was going to be done and as you might have expected She never called me back either! So I called her again and was told that she had an emergency and was sorry but was working on getting me an answer on my install and flooring. AGAIN NO SHE DIDN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO CALL ME BACK! I almost forgot Lauren called me and left a message on my machine telling me they can't do the install for the price they charged me for but now upped it a couple hundred dollars and let me know if I still want the install done. CAN YOU BELIEVE THESE UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE???????? So now I call the corporate office and explained that at this point my husband and I just want her to call the store and take the charges OFF of our credit card and that we were taking our business to a professional and more reputable store. Of course she said she was so sorry and she would take care of it and call me back the next day around 1 O'clock my time and even gave me her #. Ha! well . she Never called me back so I called the # she gave me which (of course) went right into her voice mail! Left message for her to TAKE THE CHARGES OFF MY CARD and to call me back to confirm that the charges would be taken off which was a waste of my time because she never called me back! I forgot but before I called her I called the store and talked to a sales associate and asked her to take the charges off my credit card and she said she would have to call me back in a few because she was working with a customer...REALLY what the heck was I????? I guess once they get your $$ your history...and then I told her to get a manager on the phone so she put me on hold and it just went to his voicemail so I angrily left him a message to call me A.S.A.P. and of course he never did! Finally my husband called our credit card company and explained their behavior and asked to take the charge off our card for products we never received. Thank heavens our dealings with them our over! Needless to say we are about 2 weeks behind now and have to go out and look for flooring and hire a handyman on our own which is now pushing this job way out of our timeline...
