The issue is 50Floor subcontracts other companies to do their installations, they don't actually…read morehave a department of their own that does installations. And unfortunately the company they sent to do the job at my home was TERRIBLE! First off the company tried to make us pay $200 cash on the side to them directly for moving totes, which they were supposed to move. Even though they arrived way earlier on the second day of the install than the quoted time of arrival. Had they been here within the window we could have moved the items for them. They used my hand towel in my downstairs bathroom for removal of the toilet to lay the floor, they then left it thrown on the sink soaking wet; also they used one of my dish towels from my kitchen shelf to stain the 1/4 round! When the 1/4 round was laid they had no plans on staining the edges! We literally had to ask them to or it would have been a very light colored wood against the dark color. Also they did not cut the 1/4 round when measuring to fit, they literally just broke it raggedly and it looks less than attractive! When they left and was supposed to "clean up" after themselves they left my downstairs toilet undone because they did not screw it down with the two toilet bolts on the side. There are two pieces of the vinyl lifting in my kitchen that were not all the way down after installation because we swept and mopped after they finished and noticed it. They broke our bed frame and the floor in the bedroom, underneath the nightstand is uneven, the nightstand wobbles and won't stay stable! The final paperwork, the certification that the work is completed, was forged by one of the workers because he was upset about not getting the $200. After all of the things they did wrong/broke/or recklessly handled he still had the nerve to ask for $200 and then get mad when the answer was No!!! So he forged our signature on the final paperwork. And to top it off they trapped my cat in a vent! Even though they were told from the beginning that he was in the home and would hide. The biggest issue is these people laid my flooring in the wrong direction on my second level!!! I blame 50Floor just as much because after these events, when the project was complete, I contacted them for 4 days in a row, still with no resolution yet! I've been corresponding with a Kim and let her tell it we're still waiting to hear back from the director/supervisor that she had to escalate my complaints up to! She called to schedule repairs today, which repairs? Not sure! When? Still don't know! She had to order materials. But the rest of the complaints have gone unanswered. Think twice before signing on with for a flooring project! I surely regret it.

I've contacted the company several times and apparently nothing is covered under their terrible warranty. The installation was horrible, they fixed the separating uneven tiles once by folding up cardboard soda boxes to "level out" the sub floor. When I complained they refused to come back out . Instead they said to send an email of the creaking noise and soft spots I heard and felt when walking on it. I asked how to send a photo of that and I got no response. I can pick up the tiles everywhere with my hands from it separating but apparently since it's a "floating floor that's to be expected". Honestly I threw 10k in the garbage with this flooring since I have to have the entire floor replaced. Please take this review and go somewhere/anywhere else for flooring

To where they would not return our calls and fix the issues. Refloor came in ripped up the old floor and removed old flooring under that which should have been done by Empire. Yes Refloor is a little more. But there flooring is better quality and the work is done right the 1st time. When comes to cleaning the floor cleans so much easier and looks amazing.

See below for a description of the third party contractors Refloor hired to install our floors. Unprofessional - when the installers showed up, they were NOT employees of Refloor. It was a team of 3 people, led by Mike Matty who has his own company and is an independent contractor who brought workers with him. Day1 we walked into our home after they had been working in it and all we could smell is cigarettes. They also left front door wide open. Idk if they actually smoked in the house, but there were burned out cigarette butts in the kitchen. Upon the conclusion of the job the installers asked that I contacted them directly if there are any issues rather than going through Refloor. That raises ethical concerns obvi. Disrespectful - we were repeatedly told it was a 4-day job starting Tue and ending Fri. At the end of day2 the third party contractors told us they would be done on day 3. Good news right? Wrong, it became clear that they were simply rushing to get the job done and while I have no evidence to support my suspicions, I do think they were trying to get Friday off bc it was Memorial Day wknd. On Thur at 2 the installer called me and told me they'd be done by 430, so I left work early at 3pm so I would be there by 4pm. When I arrived they were far from finished and my partner also made a special 60-min trip to join me for the walkthru. We waited 2 hours then decided enough is enough and they need to come back the following day. The installers didnt like it, but at this it was 7pm and we lived 30 minutes away and had work to do at home. Installers apparently stayed at the home until 9pm rather than coming back to finish on Friday as scheduled. My partner and I were both working over 60 hours a week & they wasted 4hrs of both our time. Poor installation quality - floor is bubbling in 7 different places. They told me to wait 21days and see if anything changes. It only got worse over the following month so they sent out same installer to fix it. 1 of the 7 issues was due to water leak under bathroom floor - NOT the fault of the installers. But, they did "fix" the floor in one of the rooms & didn't put the trim back correctly. As Other 5 areas with issues - in all areas the floor is bubbling and in 1 area the planks are separating. Installer told me it's impossible to fix them, that's just how LVP is, and even mentioned that his last job was installed terribly and he doesn't care. We were never offered the option of paying extra to have our concrete leveled either, we were simply told that he couldn't do it. Zach Rose had told us we'd have the option of paying extra to have concrete leveled. They also damaged our trim upstairs. Customer service - anytime I called the company I was transferred/passed around exactly 3 different people, explained my question or issue three different times, and rarely found a resolution. I had to pick up quarter rounds from their warehouse and called 3 separate times to confirm that 2-3pm on a Tue would work. Each time that i called, i had to discuss this with three different people as i got transferred around (see above). When we arrived they were closed and the 2-hour drive was a complete waste of time. Slap in the face - I had discussions with David, Customer Service Manager. He followed his script, admitted the failures, and offered us a 2% discount. So now we have flooring that appears to have been installed by Helen Keller and we feel that the company spat in our face (figuratively) after putting their cigarettes out in our kitchen (literally). Edit: I've spoken with multiple unbiased 3rd parties who confirmed that my floors were installed poorly and that the concrete likely could've been fixed for a few hundred dollars. One of the individuals who inspected my floors also told me that Refloor is known in the industry for ethical practices and for paying people to leave five star reviews.

Bryan fits that bill We were interested in putting in a waterproof floor, either ceramic tile or vinyl, and Bryan was helpful in determining which one and the cost-effectiveness of each. Bryan managed to fit our timeline for the project perfectly. In about three days, he had leveled the concrete floor in our Lakewood, home, put down the red, waterproof barrier, put down a impermeable barrier between the red barrier and the vinyl flooring. Finally, the vinyl flooring went in in about a day and a half. All told it was about four days. When we noticed something that might've been a little bit off, Bryan was quick to correct it and super responsive. he was more than accommodating in our requests and his crew did a great job, especially in terms of cleaning up before they left. It's clear that Bryan understands not only the craft in his work, but how to treat his customers. We are thrilled with our new vinyl floor. I'll update this review with some more photos once I finish the rest of the project.

There was one other family somewhat aimlessly looking around the showroom. So, we politely waited and decided to look around ourselves, too. My dad had a simple question for the receptionist and patiently waited by the desk until she acknowledged him. Once she looked at him, my dad said, "Could I ask you a question?" to which she snipped back in a very nasty tone, "I have two customers ahead of you!!!" How are we to know how many customers are ahead of us? He was polite and waiting until she acknowledged him. There is no need to treat customers that way. When customers enter your showroom, the receptionist could simply say, "Hi, we're a bit busy at the moment. Please be patient, and I'll be with you when I can." Your way of dealing with potential paying customers is appalling. We were so annoyed by the way we were treated that we immediately left, even though the selection of your showroom is nice. I was so annoyed by our treatment that I actually called to complain. The person on the phone was pleasant and apologetic, but I'm not even sure if he was the manager because when I asked to speak to the manager, he said, "In regards to?" instead of claiming he was the manager. We left your showroom, and the next place we went to-- what a massive difference in customer service! We were greeted, the lady gave us a business card, and she was more than happy to show us their wonderful selection. Remodels are expensive, and it'd be wise to treat all of your potential customers with decency and respect. We will be telling our contractor (who recommended Daltile) about our negative experience, too, so he can pass it on to others looking to remodel their homes.
