We viewed the work of a carpenter/cabinet maker and tried to hire him but he was too busy and recommended Cabinet Solutions. I called and they seemed most eager to help but as time went by, I never heard back(either they are very good or busy due to the economy). I tried one last time and their representative got back with a "ballpark " estimate based on my input and general measurements. The price seemed reasonable so I went to their showroom on 17th street to see their product line. They have an extensive inventory of woods and finishes in addition to marble and granite to fit most price ranges. Mark came over and took measurements to confirm mine and offered some ideas on design. After a couple of visits, we hired cabinet solutions and look forward to seeing their "magic" in about one month. Wow! The cabinets came in about as expected and the quality is top notch. The installer was professional in his approach and tried to limit the noise volume in our building. The marble countertop piece is still to be installed as well as the cabinet faces and hardware but the space is shaping up and I am pleased with their work so far. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Note that the positive reviews that are listed are for previous owners. Cabinet Solutions Sarasota (under previous owners) did a good job on a bathroom remodel which is why we felt comfortable using them for our kitchen remodel. This project has been a complete nightmare! We have had 4 different project managers (each of whom left the company). After 8 months, we were forced to hire other contractors at our own expense because Cabinet Solutions would not complete the work. Worst of all, even after we paid the balance in full to avoid any property liens, they still refused to pay one of the subcontractors until 9 MONTHS after the work was done. Galina, the owner, refused to return any phone calls to discuss the issue. I would give a zero star if it was an option. this business has the worst quality and customer service I have ever experienced. they scratched my new floors, installed the wrong countertop size, put the kitchen island in the wrong place, my bar plumbing does not work, banged up the wall, under counter lights have no off switch........and still want paid without fixing their mistakes. He was going to give us an idea of cost & set up an appointment to see the bathroom, & double check all our measurements. SEVEN weeks later Ginger called to see if we were still interested? O.K. I said yes but we'd heard nothing for SEVEN weeks. She said they've been having some issues. She put me on "hold" to see when Kevin could come out. After being on "hold" for quite a while. I was disconnected! She did not call me back & I didn't feel that I should call her back since I was the client that they were supposed to be taking care of. I was in Retail for over 18 years & even called, with follow-up, clients from home! No job was ever to small & all clientele were important! I would have been FIRED if I ever treated my clients that way. Even if I didn't have an answer yet, I still called to let them know I was working on the issue. Don't even walk through the door! These guys are all lip service and have absolutely no professional skills as well as communication skills. They left me hanging for over a week - the cranky old coot Walter came by to see the job, promised a proposal on Monday and then ghosted me (most like because he saw two guys owned the place. When I asked about the job - all of a sudden they couldn't do it and gave me attitude. This is dreadful customer service at its best. I then when in and spoke to Chuck (some kind of manager, so he says) who was equally clueless and unskilled as someone who needs to be customer service savvy. Oh my goodness. This entire project has been a mess. We've waited months for the project to be completed and after their failing to show up for an appointment today, we're still waiting. After the initial install the workmanship was SO POOR they had to 'send in their really good guys' to get it fixed. They continue to tell us they are sorry and that get are simply have too many jobs to do- i can't see that this will continue to be a problem if they maintain this level of work. read more

Reviews are hard because everyone has a different experience..I can only share mine! I know this is long but it's worth the time! I gave them 1 star because the bathroom did come out nice, cabinets, countertops, sinks but the customer service was beyond bad! You would think with all the social media (reviews) and competition in the cabinet business, they would have at least tried to correct some issues, but they didn't! We remodeled our master bathroom (not a full gut!) About an $8,000.00 job (alot of money for us!) About a month into the project, they were almost done, we just needed mirrors, Dennis, our main contact person, went on a two week vacation. Ok, no problem.. but he did not order our mirrors! That's when we got the pleasure of dealing with Brian!! Brian basically told my husband he could order standard glass, which we could get in a day or two but if we wanted the beveled glass (which we were quoted for) it would take two weeks! Didn't apologize, didn't even try to offer a rush, nope..take it or leave it! My husband got upset and mentioned we're spending $8,000.00 and Brian says "just so you know, on a job your size, we ONLY make about a 5-10% profit!" Wait..what?!? Yup..he complained to us about the profit they were making! I'm serious folks!! One more Brian story..the drains did not come with the sinks!! The plumber was here, we don't know anything about this!! Brian tells us that HE was the one who had to spend three hours of HIS time getting the drains!! Crybaby!! How is this our problem?!?! If I told a customer this at my job, I would be fired!! We also had a problem with the shower head but we were exhausted from "all the drama" and just didn't fight it! Dennis returned, he did order the mirrors, it does look great!! Lastly, we got our final bill, we weren't looking for a huge discount, but "throw us a bone," try to make it right..nope..full price!! Cabinet Solutions is a great business all around to work with: their customer service, design, execution, and craftsmanship. My two bedroom condo was built in 1983 and desperately needed a renovation. I had a general idea of what I wanted to accomplish, but no true knowledge to comprehend what was realistic. Kevin met with me at my condo and really took his time in getting a feel for the place and listening to my thoughts. He was meticulous in gathering measurements, and created a layout design for my kitchen, bathroom, and closets. Kevin is genuine, down to earth, incredibly talented and passionate about his work and the business. The cabinets are made here in the USA, in Alabama, and are stunning and very well built. My brother is a naval architect and is extremely impressed with the quality of work by Cabinet Solutions. Kevin also had the patience of a saint. Time and time again he would revisit the design layouts to make adjustments and help me achieve the aesthetics I wanted within budget. During season, Kevin was extremely busy, but when the closets arrived, Kevin came to install my closets after work. He did not hesitate to go above and beyond. Kevin and his team are also very creative, coming up with beautiful solutions to custom fit tricky areas. They are magic makers. A few months after my renovations, one section of one of my bedroom closets suffered some damage as someone stepped on it, using it as a ladder to help them into the above air conditioning access. Kevin came over to evaluate the damage and reinforced the closet so it would not happen again. He did this on his own time, no charge. A little over a year ago, we had Cabinet Solutions make and install new kitchen cabinets. When we had an issue with the installation, Brian came over to see it himself. Brian went on a rant, in a very loud voice. This went on for over an hour despite numerous requests for him to lower his voice. He finally told the installers to adjust the cabinets as we requested and he left. I thought maybe the heat was getting to the poor fellow. But since then, I have met three other Cabinet Solutions customers that shared their experience of Brian's anger. We are very happy with the cabinets but I recently spoke to one of the employees that worked at Cabinet Solutions when we had our cabinets made. I was told that the cabinet maker, as well as almost all of the other staff, has left Cabinet Solutions. I imagine all the glowing Cabinet Solutions reviews on the Internet were not written by actual customers. read more
