I like dead animals n fish. Half kidding this store is great if you need camping equipment but it can be awful pricey so be aware. I don't blame Cabela's it's their company pricing and that's that, but the store is a fun place for most any outdoor enthusiasts that don't hate a chain store. I personally enjoy stopping and looking for an item and then I usually find online cheaper. But on occasion they have things you can find elsewhere hence this stop. After a terrible experience at Ann Arbor Arms, (see the review I left there) I drove to Cabelas to purchase a handgun, and was very pleased with the polite,informative service I received. Though there was a line, everyone was so accommodating, even offering snacks,drinks and your place in line if you needed to visit the restroom. Outstanding service and education on handguns! My husband and I recently purchased 2 camouflage recliner chairs in November 2015. Both were to be delivered Dec 10, 2015. Delivery service Cabala's uses is ABF. ABF called me on the 10th telling me my chairs didn't make the truck and will be delivered December 15, 2015. I called Cabala's this morning December 15 2015 was on hold for 22 mins before reaching a human. Took another 20minutes or so for her to tell me she cannot find my order or the truck my merchandise is on. I called ABF myself and managed to find my merchandise which will be delivered late late afternoon. Customer Service is a thing of the past....I'm sorry just doesn't cut it for me. read more

I happen to be a big fan of Cabela's. I love walking around the store. The staff is always curteous. We went in shopping for a pair of womens fly fishing boots. The salesmen was very helpful in helping us select the right boots for my wife. She was very pleased with his attitude and knowledge. The store has a great outdoor atmosphere. You could spend all day in there looking at all the decor. Nice, clean store and very helpful people working there. read more

This is a outdoor sportsmans paradise. I have been a few times and found it interesting and enjoyable. We like looking at the fish. This is my fifteen year old fisherman's favorite store. He's really disappointed if we come without him. They have a nice selection of all things an outdoorsman/woman would desire. The line was super long to check out though. Wide selection of outdoor products, friendly knowledgable staff, and a great scenic displays of wild animals. There is a fish aquarium, a giant mountain with a waterfall, elephants, Tigers, a big moose... You could probably take your kids here for a short outing and they would be completely entertained. Since they merged with Bass Pro Shop the quality of their inventory has taken a huge drop. I have gone to Cabela's for decades and sadly, I am done with Cabela's. I've worked in sporting goods retail and I've seen their quality products go from high end to low. However their prices continue to climb. Now I don't begrudge a store from making a profit, but Cabela's price point is over the top. In the shooting sports area they went from some really interesting items to standard fare that can be purchased at any gun store. The clothing department is filled with cheap Bass Pro Shop brands or extremely overpriced high end items. At one point I had a Cabela's club card which you could use at the checkout. They even told you how much you earned and deducted that from the total if you wanted. Not any more. Last time I was there they didn't even bother to see if I had a rewards card. So driving an hour for subpar items that are overpriced is not going to happen. read more

The atmosphere inside is awesome. There is tons of taxidermy, regional animals to African elephants and lions, and old school shooting gallery , large walk through aquarium housing local fresh water fish and turtles, a stream containing flowing water and trout,and a restaurant serving basic American fair and wild game. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and generally seem in high spirits. The only problem is they are rather pricey. Definitely worth a visit, read more

They have such a wide selection of stuff I don't even know where to start! Ammo, guns, fishing, you name it. I went to Cabela's because they carry Magpul products on the shelf and they had what I was looking for. Great place to shop but wish they had one closer to the metro Detroit area. read more

Even though it's over 50 miles to visit I go every year, sometimes more than once a year. I've never been disappointed by the selection here or the service. Everyone is helpful and friendly. It does get crowded especially on the weekend but that's a tribute to the store. When it comes to purchasing a firearm this is the best place I have ever dealt with. We have been long time customers of Cabela's in Dundee, MI. We went to their last one day sale in the evening. Love their products. We purchased a couple of coats for my grown son and husband. Few days later, Inoticed I had a $10 off coupon I could've used. My husband lost the receipt and after 20 minutes on hold for someone to talk to without always transferring me, the lady only told me that without the receipt they can't look it up. Not believing that. We have our contact information and credit card numbers. Disappointed. Took forever to answer their phones to get help only to get no help. read more

They have good products, but when I called to inquire about the new Kelty Air Pitch tent the man told me it was online order only. This is a new product, which I think they should have on display, since it's about $500 for a six person tent. A person should have the right to see what they are getting before a big purchase such as that. read more

When you walk into the store, be prepared to be bombarded to sign up for their credit card. As you walk through the departments, be prepared to sign up for their credit card. They care more about the credit card than they do about selling merchandise. Employees are forced to shove it down your throat. Customer service is rude, managers are ruder, prices are high, quality is suspect, returns are a pain. I shop the company that rhymes with Lean because their customer service is the best, returns are no questions asked without limits, and quality is A+. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. Coustomer service at this store has gone way down. Used to be you walk in and the whole time you where in there people would ask if you need help. Not so muanymore I stood at the gun counter for 10-15 mins waiting to look at a firearm and the people behind the counter where more interested in talking about the next scope they are buying and drinking there coffee. Got a flyer yesterday and tried to buys Cabala's chest waders they advertised on sale. Couldn't find on website so I called in to hear they were discontinued? Funny because they have exact waders at higher price on website under different item number. I guess they don't want to honor their sale price in flyer so changed the item number. read more

I came here to ask some questions about fishing gear. I had gone to another fishing store a couple of days before. I waited for 30 minutes to get help, only to receive none. I drove 45 minutes to Cabela's, and it was worth it. I didn't have to wait to get help. The sales associate was very helpful. He answered all of my questions and explained to me what I needed (because I am a beginner to fishing). It is a huge store, and has lots of stuff. Great place for fishing and outdoor gear. It is clean. My only complaint is that they didn't have my size for the under armour camo t-shirts, other than that it is a great place. read more

Beautiful store, spacious. Cool products, but prices are high (even in the "bargain cave"). Love their shoe selection, though. They don't seem to be interested in the community in Monroe County like the small businesses are. Don't really hear their name much at local school fundraisers unless a parent goes there and buys gift cards to donate themselves. Some people won't go there much because of that. read more

I stopped by a little after 6:00 PM and went to the upstairs general store to buy some fudge. The store was open, but nobody around. Not one employee working, but there's a sign that reads the store is open until 7:00 PM. I finally gave up waiting and searched for a employee who could help me. I found a man and woman talking. I explained the situation. The man told me that the employee had already left and offered no help. The woman explained that the clerk was on break, and she did offer to help--after I explained that the sign shows they are ope until 7 PM. She boxed up the fudge that I ordered and I went downstairs to pay. Upon going to the register downstairs I encountered one register open, yes a single register. Along with that single register was a huge line of people waiting to checkout. Out of disgust, I walked right over to the customer service desk and asked if they planned on opening more registers because there is a line going far back. If I'm going to pay high Cabelas prices, I expect good service. I was told that they are trying to open a new register, which, eventually, they did. I was still very dissatisfied with my wait time, and I was just about to drop off the fudge at the desk and tell them to forget it. It seems like every time I go to this store it gets worse. Poor customer service, and the impression of cheap stingy management trying to cut costs by making paying customers wait. I am so annoyed this time that I really don't see myself going back. There isn't really anymore good deals to be found in my opinion. The store feels very touristy and unhelpful. I went to the Russel Stover store across the street and found that they make fudge also. Looks like I'll be stopping in there for now on. read more

out of the five cabelas ive been too this is the worst. the customer service is a sham. the gun counter employees are not knowledgeable on any of the products. all they care about is sellinf whats new and hot not a good quality fire arm. And just try to get someone to answer a question over the phone. there phone reception is horrible every other wortd is jumbled, get your phones fixed guys! the only plus side to this store it is larger than the IN store and closer than the IL. customer service is the first line to a happy customer so step up guys read more
