If you fish, hunt, camp, boat, or like the great outdoors, you should check out this store. If you don't, you should still check out this store. It's huge and if nothing else is fun to explore. They sell everything from items in categories already mentioned to clothes, shoes, household goods, food, outdoor games, endless camo items, atvs, and even boats. Cabelas was purchased by Bass Pro but maintains their name and sell some Bass Pro items. You can't miss the taxidermy animals all over the store. There's a huge display in back that has a screen in front that gives you information about different animals. I'm amazed how big some of the animals are! There's just some of these animals that I just haven't seen in the wild. I think some of their prices, especially in clothes are a bit high but appear to be good quality and I'm not necessarily sure what the prices would be in other store. I do know I've found great deals in clearance items and bought hiking boots and a coat in the past. My advise. Check it out.

Santa in ppe and behind plexiglass

Cabela's is a large store yet it was still really crowded. The line to cash out was quite lengthy. It's the second time within a month we have been here and they have ridiculously long lines. Today did seem to go fairly fast. They have the cutest little thing during Christmas time with Santa. They usually have fun activities for kids to do. This year thanks to covid it was dialed back to just meeting Santa. Santa was fully covid safety approved with his ppe and behind plexiglass. You have to set up an appointment to see Santa and then when you arrive they take your temperature before you go in. You walk away with a free photo and a little ornament for the kids to do.

Cabela's is pretty neat. They're an outdoor store but that extends past hunting and fishing. They also have a good selection of clothing, camping gear, culinary stuff (dehydrator, spices, cookbooks, and more) as well as special holiday gifts this time of year (like throw blankets and such). We only came in for one item and found it right away since the store is pretty well organized. Cashing out was also pretty quick since they had multiple lines open. And if you want to bring a dog with you (any kind of dog, not just a service dog), you're welcome to.

There are not too many retail stores that I enjoy going to because of the way the staff interacts with their customers. Those types of customer service practices seem to have died, except here. The staff is always incredibly nice and helpful. Any time we've needed assistance, they take it on as a challenge to make it turn out in the customer's favor. I love this store. Always clean, tons to look at and you always find something you 'need'

Cabela's is much more than a store for hunters. They offer so many things, that you may have never known. Such as spices, cookware, camping supplies, fryers and even clothes. But yet, there is still so much more. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the merchandise is great. Well worth the visit even if you just came to sightsee.

Good selection, but a little pricey. In stead of buying a few things, I just get one, but it's good.

First let me say this store should be called Orvis: The Adams. There are like five Adams who have…read moreworked here over the past several years. I know this because this is my husband's toy store and I hear so many stories about Adam Schroder or Adam Slavinski or Adam the big cheese manager. I can't keep them all apart. All I know is one of them just shaved his beard and my husband is distraught. I'm pretty sure my husband is thinking about changing his name to Adam. Before my husband ever started fly fishing, I used to go here with my daughter clothes shopping. They have some really great brands - made in America - excellent customer service. When my husband put down his guitar and picked up his fly rod (only one expensive hobby at a time, please), this became the go-to place for all the things. Fly rods. Reels. Bags. Shirts. Pants. You get the drift. This is where my husband was introduced to and fell in love with Kuhl pants. He also really loves the Orvis-branded hats and shirts and jackets. This year he even has some things on his wish list for the dog. They've got a great selection of dog beds and toys in wonderful quality. And as I said, made in America, which is very important to our family. And then there are the Adams. They are really knowledgeable about the area fishing spots and my husband knows he can rely on them for current information. He just got home from Orvis, as a matter of fact, where one of the Adams told him Oatka and the Niagara River are looking pretty good right now. Tip: They teach free fly tying and fly fishing classes as well. If you're at all interested in learning how to fly fish, this is hands-down the best place in the area to learn. Ask for Adam.

I signed up myself and Mark for a Fly Fishing 101 Class…read more "The Adam's" were GREAT. Incredibly knowledge and truly passionate about their sport. We borrowed poles and were able to head outside to learn how to Fly Fish. We even got to attempt (and I got one!) using Velcro flies and Velcro fish out on the lawn. It was super silly and fun. The store is neat, clean, and organized. You can get clothing, Shoes, Pet Supplies, and all imaginable gear (and there's a TON) for this sport. Prices range from $100 - $1,500 depending on the level of deep dive you plan to make into the world of Fly Fishing. We are signed up for Fly Fishing 201 in a week and I will report back!
