Cool place. Clean and laid out easy to find, u see staffed, no internet and unknowledgeable staff
Steve R.

Went here during this COVID-19 thing (week of Wed 3/18 and 3/19/2020). . Completely pretty much out of ammo. They were not properly staffed and people were not helpful at all. I wanted to get a shoot gun to go shoot with my dad and use for clay birds, ducks, pheasants and turkey hunting. I did find a great deal on a used one and had it reserved. Well the line was so long I went back the next day. I got there 15 minutes after they opened. It was taking forever for my stuff to get processed. There weee already 5 people waiting ahead of me. I was told to shop for some other things. They would text me when they were ready to help me buy my shotgun. I asked how long of a wait it would be as I had to do some running around. They took my number down. After about 40 minutes some young worker snapped at me and said "Sir staring at us won't make the computers go faster. Go do some shopping I don't need someone staring at me". Really? Well I just left. The lay out is nice in the store. I did get some camping stuff. However:NO INTERNET. So I couldn't t tell if I was really getting a deal or not. But I got my cast iron pot for camping(the day before when there was a huge line). So to the tall young kid with the brown buzz cut, sorry u were having a bad day at only @9:15am in the morning. But you better learn some manners. NOT Ever GOING BACK HERE AGAIN. 1)No internet 2)Poorly staffed, which has been a common them when I go here 3) Staff when u asked questions about the area they work, don't have answers. I can only give this place a 1 star rating. Go to other places like Fleet Farm or a sporting goods store where they put the customer first. I am disabled veteran and was just standing there looking straight ahead. To be snapped at like that was not cool. It's not like I can go walking all over the store just wasting time looking at over-priced goods and have no internet to pass the time. Until the next review, Yelp-Steve-O, out

This place is huge and awesome. Two aquariums with full size fish. It's a redneck Mecca. Everything you could possibly think of, and then replicated in camo. There was a line in the men's restroom where the bros shamelessly blew up the commode. That's a redneck experience if you've ever had one.

COOL THE BACK PACKS ARE ON SALE.... HAHA NOT!

Seems like every time I come in a buy something the price stated is in correct. Really frustrating when I have to find an employee to scan an item only to be told at check out the price is wrong. I wanted to buy my wife a Camelbak back pack and drove an hour to Cabelas Green Bay was told buy an employee that the price stated was the actual price only to find out the sale had ended. I like Cabelas as a store; they need to greatly improve customer service and price accuracy to win me back though.

They have their own cafe

For those that are even more picky, there are some other standard, American options on the menu to fill your bellies as well as a dangerously tasty fudge and candy counter.

This is not really specific to the Howard store, but leaving the review on this store because this…read moreis where it happened. I signed up for a synchrony credit card through fleet farm because of a promotion they were doing. First off, they did not make it known that this CC was only good in fleet farm stores. But prior to finding that out I enrolled in auto payments, and received email confirmation that I was enrolled in autopay. When the first bill came due they did not autopay it and then peppered me with late fees and interest. I signed in and manually made a payment from my bank account(the bank account was attached to my account already from the autopay enrollment), and then the next month I received another interest bill, despite my bills being paid and account closed. I sat on hold for 40 minutes just to talk to someone that barely speaks English of course, and asked them why I keep getting bills and they said it's because the interest doesn't apply until the following bill...ok, understandable I guess. But I also questioned them on why my autopay didn't go through and they said my bank account info was entered wrong. Now remember, I manually made the payment using that same bank account that's attached to my card, so I obviously did not enter it wrong. Fleet farm should be ashamed to partner with a credit card company like Synchrony. Synchrony bank's business moto is clearly to scam people. that's not just my opinion, Better business bureau reviews confirm that, and has a 1 star average. Unfortunately I was not wise enough to check BBB beforehand.

Nicely priced, and the store clerk was so kind and helpful in getting two pairs. Needed some new gloves by Monday for work, and was so happy they had a nice selection. Thank you again.

My husband and I just returned from Door County and three guided fishing trips (two with Jake and…read moreone with Joe) and we had a blast! First of all, the communication ahead of time prior to our arrival was great - Jake asked what we wanted to fish for on which days and we scheduled them with the ability to move around if we needed to in case of bad weather (we lucked out thankfully). Both Jake and Joe worked very hard finding us a variety of fish and taught us different techniques. Their equipment is top of the line and we both ended up catching not only a nice variety of fish, but trophy sized walleye on our second day that shocked the hell out of us (biggest fish we had ever seen!). I highly recommend Jake and his crew; they are professional and fun people to be around. We hope to plan a smallmouth trip sometime in the future

Weather was often uncooperative but Jake is a great guide, the hardest working guy on the water, attuned to conditions and determined to find the fish. He has a fast A-list boat, A-list electronics and his tackle is first rate. (We are seasoned fishermen who brought our own pro-level gear but ended up using his.) I suspect there's not a lure at Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops that Jake doesn't have in his tackle box. We switched lures and techniques often depending on conditions and location and caught fish, even on a day when the wind was 20 mph from the north at our backs. Our best day was about 35 bass and on our final day we probably brought 25 fish to the boat--averaging about 4.5 lbs each. My big one topped the scales at 4 lbs, 14 oz. It was close to epic!
