The owner replied, "We do not discriminate." That response wasn't just dismissive--it was offensive. Offering a military discount isn't discrimination. It's a sign of respect for the men and women who've risked--and in many cases, given--their lives for this country. Equating gratitude with discrimination shows a serious lack of awareness, and quite frankly, a lack of respect. What made it even more disappointing is that this store is located in a community where many military families live. These are the parents, spouses, and children who support service members from the home front--often enduring long deployments, uncertainty, and sacrifice themselves. To respond that way in a place so connected to the military is not just tone-deaf--it's disrespectful to the very backbone of this community. If I could give zero stars, I would. This business doesn't deserve even one for the way it treats the very people who make it possible for all of us to live and work freely. Of course, every business has the right to decide its own policies--but customers have the right to support businesses that reflect their values.
