The explanation was that it was to protect their time, which was frustrating considering there had been no regard for mine throughout the process. To show I was serious, I even offered to pay half upfront so we could schedule the appointment and I could have some confidence that, after the multiple missed follow-ups, the consultation would actually happen. That offer was declined, and instead of working toward a solution, I was told I could be passed off to a "colleague." Good communication and professionalism are the foundation of any service business. Unfortunately, this experience lacked both.
