Edit: I am updating my negative review in the positive direction…read more TLDR: I was happy with the owner and should I need moving help, would happily give Two Brothers a call. After seeing my review I received a call from the owner (Christoper) and we had a cordial conversation. He went over my concerns and addressed them to my satisfaction. I will go over each concern in order. The original review is further below. 1) Yelp apparently does not give businesses the opportunity to put anything on the page to properly set expectations. While the page on Yelp says users will get a quote based on the questions it asks, it apparently doesn't gather sufficient information to allow the movers to do so. Therefore the setting an incorrect expectation of getting a quote after supplying the requested info is a problem on the Yelp side and not something Two Brothers can impact in any way. 2) Apparently Yelp forwards the information entered to multiple parties to give them an opportunity to compete without informing users they are doing so. In my case, the anonymous text I received seems to be from a competitor rather than from Two Brothers. 3) The part of not giving me a call back in an hour (called the next day instead) as promised was an error on their part and Christopher took responsibility for it. He said there was no way to know if they will be free in that amount of time because they won't hang up on someone or otherwise interrupt assisting another client to give someone a call back. The employee should have said he would attempt to call back in an hour but would call back no later than next day. In short, I found Christopher responsive, professional, quite cordial, and pleasant to speak with. As stated above, I would happily give them a call should I need moving services again in CT. ------------------------------------- Initial review follows: ------------------------------------- Based on my experience attempting to get a quote, I don't think I will be using this company. I filled out the Yelp form to get a quote. Instead of a quote, I received a text back about 10 minutes later from a person who didn't identify themselves or their company. It said to expect a call tomorrow to go over how they can help me. The unidentified person said I should contact them if I didn't hear back. The next morning I did get a call but it was at a time when I had a prior appointment and couldn't talk. I asked if they could call back a little later and the person agreed to call me back in an hour. I never received the call back. Essentially they fell short multiple times in setting expectations and keeping commitments (yelp quote not provided when the info was provided on their form, not identifying themselves when contacting me, not verifying a convenient time to call, not giving the promised call back. All of this may be considered minor but it is a pattern. I can only imagine what I would have to go through if a major problem came up and I had a similar experience in trying to get assistance. I'll be exploring other options to see if anyone else can display a higher level of reliability and professionalism on the first contact.

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

More of the issues ended up being the issue of not really listening to what should have went in the boxes / truck. Somehow the three mattress pads for king beds ended up in my new apartment when i specifically said to leave it. Second the tv was set up in the master but not in the living room. The men were extremely tired which I understand but I completely was honest to their boss / owner what I needed done - move - set up - trash take away. I moved less than 3 miles and it was a little bit of a fiasco to the lack of communication (assuming) between the movers and owner. Lastly I feel the owner is a bit snippy as he is angry I didn't use him for my cross country move. I told him I needed my antiques crated which is a service they don't provide. When I called back the other day to see if they could move another item - they told me it would be really expensive and can't fit me in till the end of September. Whatever. Anyway very nice guys. Would not recommend - it's a good value (cheapest movers we found), but you get what you pay for…read more Very poor customer service. I spoke to Kareem on multiple occasions prior to the move. He kept asking me to change our pickup day and time. Each time I told him I couldn't change my plans. He could have simply told me it didn't work for them, but each time he'd say OK and I would confirm the day, time, and location of pickup at the end of the conversation. Then the next day he'd ask me to change it up again. When the day finally arrived, he texted me at 6:45 am and told me they were going to be almost 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time. Again, at no point did he disclose there was a pickup window. He had confirmed our appointment on multiple occasions. It almost ruined the whole process because we were picking up our item from friends, so I couldn't just randomly change the plan with no notice. Kareem was rude to me on the phone when I called him about this and said "things change". Then he billed me an invoice for our balance due before the job was done and texted me about payment. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
