Dr. Michelle Shin is a fantastic resource and incredibly helpful! My daughter struggled with reading and words moving on the page. She hated reading and was very discouraged every time she picked up a book. After working with Dr. Shin for about a year, everything came together. She loves to read now and no longer struggles. I don't totally understand the whole vision therapy process, but I know it was like magic! I had a child that went from not wanting to read at all to picking up a book every chance she gets. I made an appt online which was very easy to do. I have VSP insurance so I decided to come check out this new office in the South Bay. Parking is free, and once I walked in there was no wait time. Liz, the medical assistant was very nice, and helped me with the new patient forms, and helped me with the taking images of my eye. Dr. Shin reviewed by eye history, current eye wear, and my current vision. The process very was detailed and easy to understand. They had my optic nerve images on the screen, and explained what I was looking at each step of the way. They have plenty of brands and styles of eyewear in the front. If you have VSP insurance it does cover a good amount of your glasses or sunglasses. Overall was very pleased with the experience~! Dr. Michelle Shin is hands down the best optometrist! I made an appointment easily on their website for a checkup and I was really pleased by the entire visit! Upon my arrival, I was greeted warmly by Dr. Shin and her staff. I loved the overall vibe of the office. The whole place is very modern, clean and spacious. They also offer a wide variety of glasses/frames that you can view in the lobby. Dr. Shin did a very thorough eye exam and answered all of my questions, which I had a lot of! As a healthcare worker myself, I'm pretty picky when it comes to choosing providers and she really exceeded all my expectations. She is a gem of a doctor-- very professional, knowledgeable and caring. I appreciated her warmth and patience. I never felt rushed at all throughout the entire appointment. You can tell she really cares and loves her job. I was also really impressed by all the high tech equipment she had and skillfully knew how to use. It was way nicer than the other optometry offices I've been to in the past! I thought her prices were very fair too and she does accept some insurances. I also found out she sees children and does vision therapy! I definitely plan on bringing the rest of my family here. Just had my six-year-old daughter's eye exam with Dr. Shin and I couldn't be more satisfied. She is very welcoming, friendly, kind, and patient. I needed a second opinion on a misdiagnosed eye issue for my daughter and the doctor did many different tests to ensure we had the right prescription. I left feeling well informed which is opposite what I felt at her first exam at another optometrist. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Shin at C. Well Vision Care. I haven't been to the optometrist in a few years so I really appreciated being able to easily make an appointment through the website. I received an email reminder to fill out my patient forms ahead of my visit so everything would be streamlined during my visit, which it was. Access to the building and parking was easy. Dr. Shin's assistant was super nice and personable, and walked me through the pictures she was taking of my eye. The equipment was really high tech! I've never had this done at other offices and it'll be very informative to see the changes to my eyes next year. Dr. Shin's calm demeanor really put me at ease and she was great at explaining what she was doing every step of the way. I second guess myself during the exam when I'm trying to decide which lens is clearer, and she explained what the differences between my choices were, and how it impacted my prescription. I've been interested in trying out contacts and Dr. Shin took the time to explain the different styles and sizes of contacts. She walked me through how to safely put them in and take them out, which was incredibly helpful and I felt confident trying them at home later. She didn't pressure me to purchase lenses at her office, and even sent me home with coupons for a few different styles of eye drops for my dry eyes. I needed to find a new optometrist after moving. My first eye exam with Dr Shin was such a pleasant experience! She was both efficient and thorough. She made sure to check my vision and eye health in every area, explaining her findings and recommendations so that I could take care of my dry eyes better. Office was clean and felt very organized. I'm so glad I found Dr. Shin. I was referred to her by my friend who is also in medical field for my son's eye exam. Dr. Shin was very friendly and extremely thorough examining him. I brought my 6 year old son to see her after we had switched insurance plans to VSP and honestly, after this wonderful first experience and her excellent bedside manner, I plan on making her my own optometrist as well. She made my son feel comfortable right away with her warm and playful presence, and her assortment of toys, snacks and even short cartoons kept him engaged the whole time. My toddler went in for a vision exam after concerns from a general vision screening result we had received. Arriving at the office, we found parking and the initial welcome pleasant. Dr. Shin was very warm and positive with my child, making their first experience playful with toys and recognizable characters on her office wall. Towards the end of the visit, Dr. Shin also confirmed and explained what our pediatric general vision screening had shown. My son was able to pick a prize as we wrapped up and was happy walking out. I needed a new optometrist, and I found Dr. Shin on Yelp. I wear contacts and glasses, and needed both prescriptions renewed plus an annual eye exam. Dr. Shin was so generous with her time and attention, really got to know my particular situation and needs, and worked with me to get the best result possible. She spent literally over an hour with me going back and forth on options. I've never seen a medical professional take such care and put forth such effort for one patient. I've been to a lot of different optometrists since I've had vision issues since the first grade, and Dr. Michelle is by far the most thorough and invested in my eye health and vision care. She was patient with the many questions and concerns and explained everything until I was able to understand.
