I use Carbonite and unfortunately it did not back up some of the items that I need. They continued to work with me to restore these items even though they did not charge me for reloading data due to my (incomplete) Carbonite backup. No BS, straight forward experience. Moreover, I like to walk around and Micro Center appeals to my inner nerd. So, what does Microcenter offer, well lots of computers, accessories and everything an aspiring nerd needs to enter the digital world in style. If you're a graphical artist, they have drawing tables and stylist, musically inclined they have adapters to cover that too along with software but I encourage research or talking to a sales rep before buying. How about that keyboard that fits those tired hands? I see a dozen options before we even get into the backlit keyboards. Mice with over 20 buttons for those hardcore gamers will also tempt you. How about a laptop for computing on the go? Well that "buying best" place can only dream of as many options. As for me, while I've built my computer before I decided to let MicroCenter take care of it. The installation cost was low and I was able to build my "super computer" for cheap, a warranty and it was done within three days. What was a lot of fun is the saleman and I talked for about 45 minutes about World of Warcraft b/c he's a player as well. Although he did try and sell me a monitor however I have that covered. I did browse the TV section out of curiosity and noticed their prices and inventory are competitive with other stores as well. I'll admit, I love this place and it's my first option when I need a computer. I like talking to people and discussing options rather than grabbing it off a website. Micro Center has an informed sales staff, a lot of inventory and competitive prices for everything you may need, including phones! Brought in a very old laptop for repair. After several weeks without hearing anything, finally called them to check in on the status only to find that during a customer software upgrade I had been lost in the shuffle. A dozen days later, called back only to find out that they were still working on options and would call back. No call came so I called again and was told that since our laptop was so old it was not really worth fixing (not terribly surprising, but I wanted to try!). As I mentioned the guys here are nice, so we brought in a second laptop for repair and decided to sell the first one to them for parts. (Recycling at it's best!) This time around I still found that if we didn't call them, we had no idea what was going on. In the end the second laptop was fixed to our satisfaction but we didn't know how much it was going to cost until we came to pick it up. When it came time to settle up the credit for the first laptop and the repair on the second, I noticed the coupon we had brought in when we dropped off the first laptop had been lost. Luckily when I pointed out it was missing from the final receipt they made good on the original offer. I will be checking yelp for new reviews before I came to this place again hoping to see there has been improvement in these two areas: -Communicate with your customers on a timely and regular basis -Clearly communicate (at least estimates) of what the cost will be
