I had Tabby, Kambree, and now Megan Jessy. And each time was a wonderful experience. I was too scared for a long time to chop my hair off or get away from dying my hair black because it was just low maintenance. Being a mom and living an hour and a half away from this salon, I don't always get the chance to get my hair done often. But I decided I needed some change and have been talking to Megan Jessy about chopping my hair off and starting the blonde journey from black hair. Today was my first session and my hair came out exactly how I expected if not better! As you should know, going from dark hair to blonde is a PROCESS. It doesn't happen after one or even two sessions. This was Megan's first time doing a balayage on me and she was seriously so amazing and personable! I highly recommend her. And her cutting skills? I am the pickiest person when it comes to cut. I come from Nashville, TN where I spent good money on haircuts. And let me tell you, Megan is one of the BEST. I had to upload updated photos because Yelp lacked them. Truly, Honey + Hive is a hidden gem. I've been to 3 different salons in town and this one is where you need to go.

My daughter walked in with a bad haircut and dye job done at a different salon, that she was trying to grow out. She was hesitant and worried about getting it done. The stylist took the time to really talk to her about her hair goals, and what she wanted it to look like. She was honest with what she could do to fix it, and suggested what would make it look better. Her hair looks absolutely stunning. She has incredible highlights, with rich red undertones. The haircut is modern and looks like something out of a magazine. And I was super surprised at the very reasonable cost! My family has found their new salon home in the Springfield area. I felt like the stylist cared about how her hair was going to look and not just about getting the next client in the chair.

Starting from the beginning ... the place is very clean, comfy and trendy! Everyone was very friendly and made me feel SUPER welcome. My hair stylist was Kallie Dedmon and what an amazing job this girl did in my hair!!!! She spent a good 15 minutes understanding what I wanted as far as colors, what I think is pretty, what colors I would be happy to have in my hair, etc. She explained the entire process and how she was expecting the color to turn out. It was my first time having an experience like that so right from the beginning I was feeling very confident and happy to be there. The results were AMAZING!!! My hair was looking very pretty and with the colors I wanted to. I definitely recommend the cutting edge salon and of course, I definitely recommend Kallie Dedmon to be your hair stylist! She rocks!

I've lived in my new hair for a month now and my feelings from when I first left the salon haven't…read morechanged, 100% not worth the $164. I have long dark brown hair, I went in for platinum blonde (or as light as she could get my dark hair) peekaboo highlights on the underside of my hair, sent 3 pictures for inspo, my hair didn't turn out like the pictures at all. When I got home and could examine my hair closer in my own mirror and was getting ready to take pictures for instagram I noticed that my hair was uneven and brassy in some areas and some product (shampoo? Idk) had been left on the roots of my hair so I showered and rewatched my hair, making sure everything was washed out. I reached out to the salon, they were very kind and I was able to get in quickly to touch up the uneven part and here's where it gets funny. My mom pointed out to me that my hair is still uneven, I didn't believe her but sure enough it is. Despite my hair being toned a total of 3 times throughout this process I still have brassy pieces. When I went back in a second time for the touch up I felt like I was being rushed, she didn't have the care or attentiveness she had in my initial appointment. She used the wrong toner or something? So she washed it out and put a new one in which turned my hair purple, I live with a blond mom I understand the purple will wash out this was fine, but instead of my hair being platinum blonde it is now silver and it has stayed a silver gray color and you can barely tell I got the peekaboo, when I put it up however at the roots it's got brassy streaks and doesn't look appealing. I understand my stylist said that if I wasn't happy after the purple washed out she would redo it but honestly after messing up twice, I think I'll save my time and go elsewhere. I have had this hair style before in the past and it looked great, I don't know what happened this time. Even with my hair down my hair looks uneven, one side goes up higher than the other. $164 down the drain

Firstly, the salon itself is so clean, aesthetically pleasing, and welcoming. I felt at-ease as soon as I walked through the doors. I was impressed by the amount of sanitation and precautions the salon took, in light of COVID-19. The salon currently requires all visitors to come alone and to wear a mask. Each of the stylists also had masks. It was pretty cool to see the care the staff put into keeping the salon pristine. It appeared that they completely sanitized each station after use. Back to the hair itself -- I think pictures will do more justice than my words. I gave Ashley an idea of what I wanted, and she completely nailed it! She was super quick with the balayage technique, which turned out so natural and beautiful looking. She was also easy to talk to. I felt like we'd been longtime friends by the time my appointment was over. Another thing I appreciated was that I was periodically asked if I wanted something to drink while I was getting my hair done. Excellent hospitality! This salon and stylist Ashley absolutely deserve 5-stars. I feel pampered and excited about my new hair! Now I don't have to be afraid to find a new stylist because I'm all set with Ashley W.

I repeatedly asked for more fullness/side volume but was met with pushback / attitude from Audrey (my assigned stylist) every time, and ended up with only 1 row and 5 I-tips. I was never shown the original packaged hair, receipts, or even the back of my head after installs, so I had no way to confirm what was actually used and what I paid for ! When I went to pick up my leftover hair, I was handed one small curved piece that is lighter in density, and doesn't match the color of what's in my head. The color installed also does not blend well at all with my natural hair color. Overall, I left every appointment feeling uncomfortable and confused, with no clarity on what hair was installed or what happened to the rest of what I paid for. Upon emailing the business my concerns, their response was that my hair was matted at my move up appointment (am I not paying them to maintain my hair and fix it?) and that all hair is correct and was returned. Disputing with my bank !
