Sent my husband in for a treat to get a massage, and men's Mani/Pedi. His report to me was the massage was acceptable, but the Mani and Pedi left him wanting.... I looked at his nails afterwards and found they had just cut his nails haphazardly, didn't bother to file them in the slightest, and I was stuck finishing his treatment at home because they were left so unfinished. Absolutely appalled. If I had known this was the quality of service, I would have never sent him there. His gift turned out to be so disappointing it made it more harmful than helpful. I went for the first time today and there was a lot left to be desired. I was not acknowledged when I walked in and was asked roughly 10 minutes later if I had been helped, this person that asked this had been within visible range the entire time I was waiting. I had an appointment, but I didn't get started until 20 minutes late. The overall experience was very lowbrow. I won't be back. I did a natural nail mani/pedi and the pedi was a literal tub filled with water. Supposedly they are remodeling and will have actual pedicure chairs and I hope that is the case because soaking in a glorified mop bucket is pretty off putting. If they didn't have a 24 hour notice cancellation policy I would have walked out as soon as I walked in. I should have spent the extra and went to the spa down the road. read more

I've been coming to Dharma's for about 13 years because of my stylist. I can't speak to the spa services because I've never used them but if my stylist left, I'd follow. I like the idea of remodeling the salon but what's up with the black bathroom? I don't know who is making these interior design decisions but this color is not a good choice. A salon should have a sense of vibrancy. A black bathroom with improper lighting isn't vibrant and it doesn't show off the work of your stylists well. Your customers want to check themselves out in the bathroom mirror and this color makes you look washed out. read more

Completely disappointed in a lash lift and tint I received here. I don't ever leave bad reviews but I would like for them to maybe learn from the mistake. My lashes were way over curled due to I believe a too small of a shield used. This was my first time ever receiving one so I was definitely disappointed to say the least. I called the salon to tell them about my disappointment. They told me they would relax my lashes and I then asked if it would be damaging to them. I was told I would receive a call back for an answer and never got one back. Very kind staff, but unprofessional as they never called back on something that was their fault. Erica was amazing and the relaxing massage was great. However, the oil or whatever was used caused me to break out in a rash over my entire body. As a massage therapist for over 5 years, I have used several lotions, essential oils and creams... I've never had a rash like this. Also, please disclose to your clients that your not providing them with a Licensed Massage Therapist!!!!!!!!! Erica was great, but Not A Massage Therapist!! There was no consent form asking what areas I was comfortable receiving massage, and she asked to take my socks off. I'm sorry, but that is against every ethical code as a therapist. You Never remove, ask to remove, or suggest removing any clothing or jewelry. I realize I'm from out of state and may have some confusion over how massage is run in Missouri, but I was Not expecting a massage from an esthetician. Erica, again was great. She had a great touch and pressure. We had great conversation and she was the best part of the experience. Super sad about everything else. Two stars for the massage and the cleanliness of the facility. Another star for the quality of my manicure and pedicure. For the things that was wrong: there is polish on my skin. Cuticle lines are sloppy. I felt rushed. There was no massage with my mani/pedi. Just rub on some lotion. I was not offered my choice of refreshments. Someone just eventually brought me a cup of water. There was talking my whole massage, but that pretty common so no big deal plus she was very nice, but I didn't the type of conversation during my visit. I felt like I was in a police interrogation. Asking about my family, my partner, partners mother, what I did. Who goes to a spa to talk about work and my home life. I just want to relax. You shouldn't let you guest know you discriminate against gift certificate customers. When it's the first time at any facility. I will not ever give out my card details. I will always you a certificate. I had a 178 dollar gift the money was supposed to cover. The services and upgrades I wanted and tip. The reception told me that the system the spa uses for gift cards takes 20%. What does that have to do with me. So I told her to redeem the whole gift card. She then states the tip would be only 10 dollar in that case. So I offer another 10. She turn around getting ready to type in the amount and says $20? So y'all have about 200 dollars of my money for 135 dollars worth of service. That's about 65 dollars lost because YOU provide a bad gift card service. I will be filing a dispute with my bank/partner's bank. I'm also taking one start less and uploading it to Yelp. read more

Ok, so it's all about the rub. Really. Made an appointment for a massage and as luck would have it, Seth was my masseuse. He asked all the pertinent questions, and I opted for the deep tissue massage. I was wound up tighter than an 8 day clock. I had driven from Phoenix to Springfield in 2 days by myself, because my dad (who lived in Springfield) had suffered cluster strokes and they were pretty sure he wasn't going to make it. And he didn't. Helping my siblings plan a funeral, the drive, trying to get all the big and little things done had taken a huge toll on my neck and shoulders. Seth managed to patiently get the knots out and get the muscles aligned again. He also gave me tips on stretches that would help me stay kink free. He was professional, and very kind. Was the massage worth what I paid? Absolutely. Would I drive BACK to get another massage from Seth? AbsoFREAKINGlutely!!!!! read more

I go here for my lashes. Becky is very talented and is able to install various different types from individual to fan and even multi-colors. The pricing is $50 for a fill, I'm not sure what initial install pricing is because I haven't been charged for it in the two-years I've been going there. Some spas use the sales gimmick that you need to take-off and get all new lashes on as an excuse to charge you for a second "initial" installment, however, this business never did that to me after I paid the first installation price. I had a "relaxing" massage appointment on 4/8/16. I was initially put into a room to fill out some paperwork and along came another gal who was filling out the same thing. My appt. was for 1pm and I heard her say she was really early and hers was at 1:30. I sat in the room from about 12:50 until 1:15. They called the other gal back first 30 minutes before her appointment! I waited an additional 15 minutes passed my appointment time and was finally called back to the room. I was greeted by a very nice massage therapist and got ready to have my "relaxing " massage. We got started and immediately I heard the most obnoxious women through the wall on the other side. The room I was in was very dark, a candle burning, and the music low and soothing. I could hear 3-4 different woman talking and hysterically laughing about eyebrows. Finally, the massage therapist half way into massage excused herself after previously apologizing for the noise. She left and came back fairly quickly, but still cutting into my massage time, and resumed the massage. It got quiet, problem solved! NOPE, 3 minutes later they were even louder and talking about eyebrows again. I had it! I was tempted to tell her to quit and I was getting dressed and leaving. It eventually got quiet the last 10-15 minutes of my massage and I actually almost dozed off. The skill of the therapist is not at all representative in this complaint. I have had massages in several spas in Springfield and around the United States and I NEVER had as bad an experience as I did at this spa. I was so disappointed because I was really looking forward to it. I know the massage drill, etiquette, and expectations. We paid $65 for a horrible massage and they gave me a $10 gift card from the front desk on the way out. That doesn't even cut it! I would never be tempted to return with my business for a $10 gift card. I should have been given another massage of the same time/type. This spa is not one I would recommend to anyone. I hope you treat your subsequent customers with more courtesy and the use of common sense. Thank you. read more

Beautiful spa and salon. I like that the spa and salon are completely separated from each other. I've gotten my hair done there a couple of times and my highlights were beautiful. Last week was my first visit to the spa, WOW, it's so pretty. Very quite an peaceful. My massage was wonderful. I got a shellac manicure that was awesome and a pedicure. We're planning a spa party for my wedding in December, can't wait to go back. read more
