Original review: We recently moved to the area and I was in desperate need of a massage after being on the road for four days. We were staying in a hotel for the week until our house was ready and I decided to take the opportunity to relax and get a massage. After reading reviews, I chose Plus massage in hopes of a good experience. I was curious about speaking with her about cupping. I made a phone call on Wednesday afternoon to ask what her next available appointment was. She was a bit hard to understand on the phone, but we managed and she said she had a 7p appointment that evening, but implied that would be too late for me. She then booked me for 11a the next day. Ok, no problem. When I arrived the next morning, there was a couple waiting in the lobby. She rushed me into the massage room to discuss my needs, and again there was a bit of a language barrier in understanding, but we got through. Then she informs me that she basically double booked me and had to massage the gentleman waiting in the lobby and that her other "employee" would handle my massage. I was disappointed, but at that point just wanted to relax. So in good faith, I got on the massage table and proceeded with the massage. I didn't even meet the guy first or talk to him about anything. I'm assuming she relayed our conversation in their native language. It was hard to relax because once I was on the table face down, they were talking and she kept coming in at the start of my massage to get supplies and continue side conversations. He did a decent job of using the hot stones, but beyond that I would question if he was even a licensed or trained masseuse. The massage was clunky at best, not deep tissue like I asked for and primarily just consisted of repetitive long strokes. I also have had plenty of massages where the masseuse practices controlled breathing to not distract from the experience. This guy breathed hard in my ear for the entire hour. Overall, he got the job done, but this definitely was not a good experience and I won't be coming back.
