I ordered a specialty cake for my husband"s 50th birthday celebration. Since he is taking a motorcycle trip to Colorado, they made a gorgeous cake, complete icing that looked like a Colorado mountain, with trees,grass and a highway with a motorcycle going up the mountain. That was amazing BUT the best part was the cake. My husband loves chocolate and coconut, so they made the cake taste like a "Mounds" candy bar. It may have been the best cake I have ever tasted. I'm so sorry to say I did not have a great experience with this C Marie's Bakery!!! I can honestly say I was shockingly surprised I'm not able to give this bakery 4-5 stars. For starters, I spoke with the owners husband and explained I was looking for a JoJo theme Birthday cake for my granddaughter's birthday party. I knew they basically specialized in wedding cakes. Nonetheless, I was told they can create any cake with any design. The husband spoke so highly of his wife abilities to delivery a great cake. So I decided to go with this bakery and ordered the chocolate cake. I paid over the phone for the cake and picked the cake up prior to the party. I was pleasantly surprised the owner did not offer any type of cover up for the cake. Basically I was expected to travel with the cake exposed to any debris flying in the air. After asking to have the cake covered, the owner agreed to place plastic wrap over the cake. The cakes was not decorated the same as the pic we agreed on. Nevertheless, the decor of the cake was acceptable. Now the biggest problem I had with my entires experience was the taste of the cake IT WAS DRY CRUMBLY AND DOWN RIGHT NASTY!!!!! This 8 inch cake cost me a total of $108.25 so I was expected for the cake to be moist and melting in our mouths!!! NOT EVEN CLOSE THE ENTIRE CAKE WAS DRY AND NASTY!!! The party goers threw the cake in the garbage!!! I felt embarrassed by the disgusting taste of this cake! I truly had high hopes for a great cake experience and I'm sorry but C. Marie's DID NOT live up to my expectations. I wish I would have ordered from a different bakery. Sorry C. Marie's but you lost a potentially good customer. We ordered our wedding cake from here last year and it was delicious! I was so worried about dry wedding cake like I had been used to at other weddings, but our 3 tier chocolate with chocolate mousse and red velvet with cream cheese cake was amazing! We had about 50 guests and the 3 tier was enough for every person to have seconds on their way out of the reception! I ordered a cake for Christmas eve from c maries and it was awful. It had almond extract in it and did not list it on the ingredients, it was so dry, we just ended up throwing it away. I called and told her and she said that I was hurting her feelings. She agreed to make another one without almond extract and I was to pick it up on December 30 th. It was for my moms birthday. I went to get it and she and her husband were so awful to me. He asked if I brought my own box because they pay $5 each for them. I don't believe that at all. He was a jerk and she was so rude. I went to grab the cake and leave and she grabbed it first and they refused to give it to me after she called and asked if I was coming to get it. I would NEVER go back there and I strongly encourage you not to waste your time or money. She is way over priced too!! read more

BRAVO...EXCELLENT...MARVELOUS!!! Had a Master's celebration event at work and gave the invitation to C Marie's to create something for us. I wish I could post a picture - people went crazy over it so much so that we didn't want to cut it - when I finally gave in and cut and served the tuxedo cake with the Dulce de Leche filling ---- ohhhhhh....as hard as it was to believe - the cake tasted even better than it looked. Here's the best part - they can create their amazing cakes without covering it with that nasty inedible playdough textured fondant but use delicious buttery frosting that melts in your mouth! read more

Horrible experience... Baker's husband was incredibly rude and his wife did not acknowledge or speak to us at all. Felt extremely uncomfortable. I was looked over as the bride by the bakers husband. (Didn't offer me things that he offered my fiancé - very strange) Worse than everything else, the baker's husband asked us if we wanted the "metrics..." assuming he was talking about price of the cake, we said yes. The first question he asked us when "calculating our metrics" was our race... followed by our religion. He proceeded to write down what he thought, as if it was part of a "formula." He then used this information to "estimate the amount of people he thinks will come to our wedding..." completely unbelievable and altogether unprofessional. Needless to say, we left and I'll not be using them for our wedding. This review really does not do our experience justice. Moreover, I usually refrain from writing reviews but this experience was horrific. It is also important to me that I share this experience in order to save other people from having to sit through a similar situation. read more

All of these not so good reviews are from so long ago, I figured they needed an updated one. If I could give C. Marie's 10 stars for quality & service I would! I don't even like cake that much, but I could eat their cake all day, every day! I will never use another bakery for any party or get together. The only downside is the hours they are open but it's understandable since they only have a few employees. The best tasting cake I ever had! We used C. Marie's Sweets for our wedding and OMG the cakes were absolutely amazing. We chose pink champagne as our flavor and could not get enough. Our guest raved about the cake and how delicious and moist it was. The price was very fair and the cakes were delivered to the reception site on time and in perfect condition. My husband and I are not big cake people so we left booking the cake until about 2 months before the wedding. C Marie's was able to help us with a cake with the limited amount of time. The cakes were beautiful and tasty, but we were disappointed with C Marie's professionalism upon visiting the bakery for a tasting. When I contacted the shop via email I was told that we could stop by any time to taste and discuss the cakes, and that appointments were only necessary for a custom cake consultation. When we got to the bakery, we could hear the staff talk about us in the back room because they had other people coming for appointments. When they brought out the cakes for us to try we felt very rushed and unwelcome. Other groups started coming in and since there is very limited seating inside the bakery, we felt uncomfortable and rushed into a decision on the flavors and booking. We invited a friend to come along to help us taste test but he wasn't able to join us because of the awkward situation. In addition to all of this, we wished that C Marie's would have been more flexible in allowing us to get a slightly bigger wedding cake in lieu of the groom's cake with the packages that they offer. Though in the end the cakes turned out well, it's a shame that what was supposed to be one of the most fun parts of wedding planning ended up being very disappointing for us. read more

It has been great working with the staff here in planning our wedding cake and we highly recommend supporting this local business. I purchased a cake back in 2011 for my 30th birthday and it was delivered on time, was exactly what I envisioned and tasted amazing. This past Saturday was my daughter's first birthday and they delivered again both literally and in their craftsmanship. The cake was so perfect, tasted amazing (per all my guests) and was plenty but was completely gone by the end of the party! They took the time at delivery to make sure I knew how to properly remove tiers and cut the cake for my guests as well. I do think the prices have gone up significantly but I still will come to them again because of such superb work and customer service. I wanted a very special cake for my daughter and they helped make that a reality. Whether via email or phone in placing details and my order, they are very courteous. I LOVED MY WEDDING CAKE!! I ordered 2 cakes for my wedding (bride & groom's cake)- she did a wonderful job at both! Both cakes tasted wonderful- moist with TONS of flavor! She did such an amazing job decorating too!! My cake was on the simple side- I asked for a fondant cake with the quilted look on 2 of the 3 tiers, the middle tier I wanted scroll piping. It turned out BEAUTIFUL! For my groom's cake, it turned out even better than I expected! I was shocked!! I asked for her to make a Borg cube cake(from Star Trek- my Husband is a Trekkie). I sent a ton of pictures and even a video of where the Borg Cube is seen with all of its detail- and to my amazement it turned out perfectly! I wasn't expecting a Borg Cube cake to look so good! I asked for a specific cake for my wedding and was told they would do it EXACTLY the same.. I got a completely different cake then the one I asked for. My theme was cherry blossoms with the colors pink white and brown. They brought a yellow cake with yellow and green flowers. I asked for a partial refund and was told it wasn't their fault and I WAS CUSSED OUT! the woman told me that I was a liar and that I had anger problems (because I was very rude after being cussed out) she said as loud as possible "are you fu*king serious right now" and there was an 8 year old boy in the room. They were absolutely the rudest people I have ever dealt with.. oh and the cake was very dry. Oh and christine the owner asked me "if you go get enchiladas and eat them all, but you didn't like them.. are you going to ask for your money back?"
