My 1st class architect Patrick Perez took me to a site he had designed in the Castro under total renovation. After looking the entire 4-story project over I was convinced by the extreme quality of work that C.H. Burnham Inc is well worth looking into. I've seen remodels for most of my 74 years & I needed a builder/renovator that could remodel a three bedroom 2.5 bath condo in Diamond Hts to my standards. I met with Christopher Burnham & subsequently Chris Donatelli, signed a contract to remodel an entire 1400 sq' middle floor, entry, hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, den, redesign/replace w/ elaborate fireplace, floor, flooring, tile, trim, direct/indirect lighting everywhere, new electrical, HVA, kitchen floor drains, dropped cove ceilings, walls, railings & everything in between. C.H. Burnham Construction gave me the same exciting remodel that I admired so much on Sanchez, (my gold-standard).
Chris Burnham Construction did everything imaginable down to the smallest detail. He is a "no-baloney" contractor & does not suffer sub-standard quality, only (Chris Burnham A-Quality). Both Chris B & Chris D know the San Francisco ever-changin building code which rfeally makes for sa smooth remodel. Chris B. was on the site 4-5 times a week. Chris's job-supervisor, Chris Donatelli, was on site or the phone daily checking-in or making refinements every step of the way. I was on auto-pilot the entire time & slept through most of it as I am a night owl. Chris's pricing is fair (even for the kind of 1st quality work I insisted on). Chris "D" made sure every single detail was performed excellently and supervised all the above-standard subs and Chris B's own crew. Chris B. is honest and an expert in all matters construction & so is Chris D. No drama, no "misunderstandings", just pure professionalism. If either Chris saw a 'wrinkle in the sheets' it was ironed- out, usually before day's-end. FIVE ***** stars ~ I am so pleased!
PS: Don't forget to use a 1st-class, well-seasoned architect to provide the best plans and renderings. You will be relying on those highly detailed plans through-out your entire project. It is so worth it!
