C & W Imports basically saved my entire weekend and I will forever be grateful for them. I was visiting from out of town for a wedding when I found myself panicked as my car had broken down in the middle of an intersection several hours before I had to be at the wedding. The good people of C & W ended up working overtime on that Friday night and then coming in the next day, even though they were technically closed, to ensure I could pick up my car and get back on the road. And their prices are extremely fair! They would never rip you off. I can't recommend them enough. My car broke down about a month ago, RIGHT in front of this car repair shop. It was a First Friday and I ran out of gas completely. I thought that since I was right outside this car shop, everything would be fine. I went inside to ask them if someone could help me, but the room full of older gentlemen all said no. I was frustrated because I could not understand how this car shop didn't have an ounce of gas to spare, a gas can to borrow or possibly offer me, a young female, a ride to the gas station when it's late on a Friday night. Instead, I had to walk all the way down Prince Street, buy a gas can and fill it up. I carried two gallons back to my car (Imagine 2 gallons of milk...) I'm not that strong and gas was spilling on the sidewalk the whole trip back. It was a nightmare and I couldn't believe those guys wouldn't help me. This has nothing to do with their service, and I've never even heard of this place until that day, but it does have to do with how they treat guests who are not paying customers. read more

The name isn't too descriptive, but this shop is a reliable and trustworthy place to get your vehicle inspected and repaired. The owners and staff are always friendly and communicate well any required repair work and the options available prior to doing the work. Probably the only negative is, parking can be a little tight due to the small lot they are located on. I would definitely recommend this auto repair shop. read more

Wish I'd had the same experience as these other folks... Took my car to these guys because I had either stripped the threads in my oil plug or my oil pan during my last oil change. I had to call them for an update and the guy tells me that the "bolt" inside the oil pan that holds the plug in place has become detached from the pan and is just rotating, and that I will need a new oil pan. I told him that as far as I knew, the pan itself has the threads and the plug simply threads into it. I've read many accounts of people having this issue and having the plug removed and either tapping the hole to the next size or using a Heli-Coil insert. He told me that is not the case, and would need roughly $1,200 worth of work to put on a new pan. I checked with a BMW mechanic and found out that the pan itself has that threads, there is no "bolt" inside to hold the plug. So I tell the guy that I will just come get the car and ask him for the cost, he tells me $30.00. I was working all day, so I had my wife go to pay the bill and get my keys. She calls me and says they are trying to charge me nearly $60.00 and are charging me for a windshield washer fluid fill (which I just did myself a few weeks ago and haven't used the washer fluid since), and an oil filter (why would you put in a filter if you can't get the plug out to drain the oil?!). Mind you, I did not authorize them to do anything to the car once he told me that the "bolt" inside the oil pan broke off. Luckily after much arguing we were able to have those charges removed. They then told my wife that we are no longer welcome at their garage (as if I'd go back there anyway). First and last time I deal with those guys. Wish I could give less than 1 star. Bunch of crooks. read more
