Came by and dropped my car off due to it having trouble starting. They called a few hours later wanting to take a look at my starter and flywheel so I gave them the go ahead. Quoted me $600-1000 on the phone. Called back a few hours later saying both would need to be replaced for $2,500. There was absolutely no way I'd pay that so I came up to get my car to take it elsewhere and the man (who isn't even a mechanic) explained my flywheel "was chewed to bits" but the photo he showed me was normal wear and tear. No teeth were missing and everything was intact. He never said what the issues was with my starter. They had removed my starter but refused to put it back in until the morning "because the mechanic was about to leave". Came back the next day to pick up my car and was charged $311 for basically nothing. Drove my car off the lot and then the bottom panel under my car fell out dragging across the pavement until I could safely stop. I had to pull over and have someone crawl up under my car to zip tie it back to the car. I was told that basically they had just barely screwed it back in so it was bound to fall of with a little bit of driving. I called back up there and the guy did tell me that they did remove that bottom piece to be able to get to my starter but they put it back on correctly. I decided I could not trust them to work on my car anymore. I had a mobile mechanic come out that said my flywheel was in very good condition and what they had pointed out was normal wear and tear. This mobile mechanic was able to get me a new starter and replace it for only $400! When he looked up underneath my car, he said it looked like it had been tampered with so that it would fall off. I am incredibly disappointed with this place, and I wish I never would have went. They want to charge you an arm and a leg for something that they made up. My car didn't need a whole new flywheel, all my car needed was a new starter that you can buy for $185 at an auto store. My car now runs perfectly. There is no justification for $2,500. It's a scam. I highly advise going elsewhere! Waste of time and money, not to mention they can't even put bolts on correctly so you're bound to come out with another problem. read more

My first bad experience was I came for an oil change, and the guy at the counter asked if I wanted to reschedule for another day. He scheduled me for another day, which didn't work out because" we are still busy." So he gave me a coupon for a free oil change. I went somewhere else. A month later, I gave them another chance, so I called in to talk to the owner about an issue with my car. He scheduled an appointment, and I arrived there on time at 8 a.m. He said I don't see any appointment made, but I can get you in there. The same guy took my keys, and I called to have someone pick me up; I called at 1:30 to check to see when my car would be ready, and the guy behind the counter said I told you when you gave me your key that it would not be ready until maybe tomorrow. LIES, LIES, LIES. I didn't even feel like it was worth the argument, so I told the guy I was coming to pick up my car. I will never be back again. read more

I will never patronize this establishment again! I found them to be very disingenuous and absurdly over priced! I recently took my Nissan Pathfinder into CS Auto in Harrisburg N.C. to have and drivers side CV axle replaced. I also requested they check my A/C because it had recently stopped blowing cold. I was planning on going out of town the following week so when I was quoted $1350 for the work I just said do it! I was told that this price would repair a leak in the high pressure line that was causing the A/C to blow hot and also replace the CV axle on the passenger side. I was later informed by phone that I would need to replace a CV axle bracket for and additional $300 and be without my car for and additional two days. By the way I also inquired about replacing two catalytic convertors on my 2013 Nissan and the quote was and insane $5,200 which I was told the job would require 10 hours worth of labor! Anyway I obviously didn't even consider having the catalytic convertors done at their establishment. The saga continues when I come to get my car and pay $1,650 for the work. I left the establishment and within 30 minutes of leaving the A/C was blowing hot. I took the car back to them only for them to tell me it would be another $1,500 to get the A/C back up and running! This is after I already paid $550 for them to inspect the system and supposedly repair a leak! I'm not crying over spilled milk because what's done is done and they have the money and I'm riding with no A/C and hopefully a decent CV axle. You can make your own decisions based on your experiences but I will not go back and would not recommend anyone to use them for anything! read more

They were super helpful and honest with my service. I scheduled an appointment through an app, that ended up not going through. But I thought it had gone through and when I showed up, they didn't have my appointment but were ready to help me either way. I asked for my brakes to be replaced, and so they got the car up and looked at the brakes within an hour, then called me back and told me I don't really need new brakes yet, and only charged me for a service check. They were very helpful on the phone when I called to see if they could help with a possible transmission problem. Turned out she ran over a curb and messed up the radiator and hoses. They got her car back in working order shortly and for a fair price. They were really patient about answering all of my detailed questions too. He knew I was in need and took advantage of people like this. Therefore I went to pick the car back up to drove it to my AAA certified mechanic when Victor charged me 90 dollars to pick it up. However this piece of shit never diagnosed any codes because he told me over the phone he was not sure. Never fo to CS Auto or Victor for any car. In fact the dealership would be better off than this guy. STAY AWAY. They did not diagnose anything and steal people's money. I first started going to C&S when they were referred by a friend a couple of years ago. My first experience was one I'll never forget. One night driving home from work, my engine sputtered and cut off while driving 70mph on the interstate. Pulled off and looked under the hood to find that my timing belt had worn out and popped off. I had the car towed to my apartment and called Acura. Before even looking at the car, Acura estimated $800 minimum. As a poor college student, I decided to take my chances with my friends recommendation. Long story short, only $230 later I was back on the road. I was thoroughly relieved. The enitre process was very professional, and even though I knew what was going to be the extent of this repair ahead of time, they explained their work thoroughly. It has been roughly 6 years since then and I've ALWAYS been treated like a valued customer. It is hard to trust mechanics, but these guys make it easy to do so. The shop isn't much, and can be easily missed from HWY 49, but the service/ customer service absolutely makes up for it. read more

Ehhhh...the staff here wasn't the friendliest toward me. However, the guy at the front was super friendly to an older lady who was here the same time as me... Not to sure what that was about... I only came to get 1 new tire. I had to wait a while because they don't keep a stock of tires. As far as location, it was convenient for me because I didn't want to drive all over town on a spare tire. I eventually had my tire changed, and was satisfied with the job. However, I don't think I will be coming back. I would rather pay more money and be treated like an important customer. read more

John at C&S Auto really was really friendly and definitely helped me out. He was honest and seemed very trustworthy. I needed my rotors, calipers, and brakes replace, so I was expecting it to take a couple days. I was pleasantly surprised when he told me it would be done by the end of the day. I've been to this mechanic shop a couple of times after discovering it through Yelp and reading the reviews it had. Well I can attest to the positive reviews they have received. They are always super reasonable on pricing and always strive to give you the best price possible while also providing you with options and providing great explanations to any of your concerns. They even helped me out a great deal when my car broke down and had to get it towed to them. Unfortunately they weren't able to figure out the problem with how old it was but they didn't charge for attempting to diagnose the car. I was very thankful for that as I ended up selling it to the junkyard. Through that whole ordeal, they were also very kind to let me keep my car there for about a week and a half to give me time to figure out options for selling it since it wouldn't make it back to my place. I brought my newly bought used car into C&S Auto, that I would use for my Ubering, that I bought from a seller that said "Everything is like new"...they lied. The motor was loose and about to fall out the car. C&S fixed this but then AFTER I found out there was another hidden issue. The seller cleared the check engine light to fool me...I was burned by a local seller. I am not rich so this hurts everything I've worked for and effects my future. I took my car for an inspection after just moving to Hburg and looking for a new mechanic. The guy behind the counter barely spoke and the one who performed my inspection came out after 20 mins to let me know I would need to purchase new windshield wipers from them to pass. Of course I was between a rock and a hard place, having to pay either way at this point. My wipers were the expensive brand and rarely used btw. So I bought theirs paying $22 which ended up being super cheap and do not work. Very disappointed and will not be going back. No wonder I never see cars in their parking lot. read more

Needless to say they charged me over $60 to hook it up to a machine and then gave me a bill of about $1,160 worth of things were "essential" to me driving it around any longer.
