Went in for a general tune-up and left $1400 in the hole with another $1000 quoted to fix an oil leak (90% labor) which I chose not to do. Part of the $1400 included new breaks and 2 new tires. The breaks have been squeeking ever since and I have avoided bringing it back. The $1000 oil leak has not shown itself. Before this experience, the last few were noticeably different in how I was spoken to and treated, but I thought they always did great work at a good price. Now, I am not so sure it hasn't become just like any other "buyer beware" service garage.

The place is easy to find - they're next door to the S&D Coffee HQ/plant and across from the water tower. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within a short walk so you don't have to just sit and wait while they're working on your car. Such as....browse bargains @ Big Lots and then get a Peach Cobbler milk shake at Cook Out on your way back. You know it's hard to find an "honest" mechanic! I was referred here by a close friend (former mechanic himself) from our church. For someone in the business to make money, they do not seem to care about their customers. I will never take my vehicles back to this location. After going back and forth on the phone, they somehow came to a conclusion that it would only cost an extra $700. Pretty evident of price gouging. On the second occasion, they told me my only option to fix my car issues was to walnut blast the intake valves for $1400. I spoke with the mechanic on the phone and they claimed they had dealt with this same issue multiple times and were sure this was the only fix. I declined, and ended up finding a very obvious vacuum leak that cost me $8 to fix. It is very clear that this business is trying to take advantage of European vehicle service prices while providing inadequate work.

I was driving from Pennsylvania to Virginia, on my way to Charlotte. I planned to stay overnight in a hotel in Virginia before continuing my journey. The place that did my oil change mentioned they couldn't reset the service reminder/error message on the screen. So, while I was driving to Virginia, my car kept flashing "Oil pressure low." It was 11 PM, and I had no idea where to stop. I assumed it was just the reminder not being reset, as the service provider had informed me. I made it to the hotel, but the next day, my car wouldn't start. It made loud knocking noises and had jumpy movements. I stopped and towed my car from Virginia to the BMW dealer in Charlotte. A couple of days later, the dealer called and informed me that the car didn't have enough engine oil--only one quart! They recommended replacing the entire engine and quoted a whopping $27,000 for a remanufactured engine. I was shocked! Even my 2016 car wouldn't resale for that price. Desperate for options, I called companies that buy cars with failed engines, and they quoted me $1,500. Then, THANK GOD, I called Euroenvy to check if they could replace the engine. They asked why I needed a new engine, and after explaining the issue, they quoted a price, and I approved the job. I then called BMW to release my car, and they offered to replace the engine for $19,000 with a used engine that had 79k miles. I declined and asked them to release the car. I towed the car to Euroenvy, thinking they were going to replace the engine. This is when the MIRACLE happened. Euroenvy called and said they weren't sure why I needed an engine replacement. They ran some diagnostics and asked me every single question about what had happened. After a thorough test run, they discovered that my engine didn't need replacement at all! The issue was a leaking oil drain plug, stripped by the first place that did the oil change. They fixed it, test-ran the car, checked for any leaks, and found none. They charged me $243 for the service, and my car has been running super fine ever since. In 2 weeks, the agony i went through is something cannot be explained (from $27000 to $19000 to $1500 to sell the car to now. This is not just about money. It is a combination of money + agony that we were going through the whole time. Euroenvy could have just replaced the engine as I already approved the job (BTW their engine replacement is way cheaper than the dealer) but they didn't do it. They did what was right and I just LOVE this place. Until I live in Charlotte, you will be my GO TO place for my car. In today's world, it's easy to find smart people, but honesty is a very rare quality. Euroenvy is a place that combines both smartness and honesty. You are the best, and I will never forget this experience.

When I picked up the van, I was told they had to order a lug nut, but they couldn't get one back on. They told me to come back the next day, and they would fix it. When I got home, my husband looked, and the wheel stud was bent, which is why the lug nut wouldn't go on, and oil was spilled all down the side of the motor. When my husband called and spoke to Mr. Pinkston, he was told the lug nut was rusted, and that's why the stud was bent, and that he was sorry, but this is the world we live in. I will never settle for convenience again I will stay with our trusted mechanics at Woodies in Mint Hill for my 2013 van and schedule service ahead of time.
