I called C & K Locksmiths for an automotive lock out. They quoted me $120. Once the technician arrived, he opened the door relatively quickly and the car alarm instantly engaged. I panicked and shut the door after pressing the unlock button. The vehicle automatically relocked. The technician said he'd reopen the door for another $50. Really? It took less than 2 minutes and it would've been courteous to advise me about the alarm and relock beforehand. I will not call them ever again. read more

My encounter with this poor excuse for a business was unacceptable. I initially called at 8:00 am and was quoted a price of $150 to replace my key. I was very clear in stating that I simply wanted a valet key, not necessarily a remote key. I confirmed the price and was told the technician would arrive shortly. I waited for nearly an hour before calling to follow up with the estimated time of arrival. I was told the technician had tried to reach me but was unsuccessful. It was clear that when he arrived that he was using the incorrect phone number. When the technician, Gil, finally arrived, he failed to introduce himself and made me uncomfortable by failing to answer my questions in an upfront manner. When I asked to confirm the cost before he was set to begin he did a quick once over and said the price would be $357.00. I was flabbergasted at the drastic change in price and refused the service. He then attempted to engage me in haggling asking, "What can you do it for?" Absolutely ridiculous! I paid the $20.00 for the service call, simple because he continued to make me uncomfortable and I just wanted him to leave. When I questioned the charge on my card since he had an invoice already filled out for the outrageous amount he rudely said, "I don't need to steal your money. Don't worry." This condescending tone was infuriating. Again, I was relieved when he left. I would recommend avoiding C & K Locksmiths. Later that morning I secured assistance from Broadway Lock and Key and was able to purchase TWO keys for a total of $200.00. Their service was impeccable and I am disappointed that I did not call them first. I definitely am not a competitor and certainly did attempt to use this service. The fact that it took three months for this business to respond to my review is a clear indicator of poor customer service. read more

We are a preschool center in a church and are a non-profit organizations. We called C&K Locksmith to come out and let us know the damage on a pull bar that seemed to be broken. They came out and LOOKED at the door was not able to do any work on it at that time. They left then proceeded to send us an invoice for almost $1500 to fix the door. I told them i would get a few more quotes. The first company I called after them came out fixed the door right then and there and charged me $100. If it wasnt for this trust worthy company we would have got ripped off my C&K Locksmith. The moral of the story is they did not tell me before coming out that if I DIDNT use them they would send me a bill for $165 just to come LOOK at the door. I didnt even pay that much for the other company to fix the door. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. I did try to talk to the owner about this charge and he was not whiling to work with me all on this fee. read more

I spoke with Jesse at C&K Locksmiths yesterday to get a quote for getting a new ignition key for our car. And unfortunately the key has a chip. However, his quote was accurate. I really appreciated knowing how much the service would cost, as we had been given the runaround by a dealership and even an AAA locksmith. The C&K locksmith that came was very knowledgeable and explained the charges to me. He was the only person who could explain what had to be done.
