On January 30th 2026, I relocated from Seguin, Tx and hired C & C moving out of San Antonio, Tx. After getting things out of my storage and placing everything out of all containers and boxes, I noticed I was missing a lot of boxes that had my dry groceries, electronic picture frame & special picture frame that my kids gifted me with all my kids names, sheets and blankets, bathroom items, etc. I have reached out to Hire-a-Helper with U-Haul and made a report as well as reach out to C & C moving by way of calling and email and no response. I am disabled and don't have the financial support to replace anything that was taken. The two young European women boys who were the ONLy ones taking boxes from my apartment which I paid for two hours service and I wasn't expecting this at all. I hired this company through Hire a Helper. two issues. 1. my prescription pain drugs were stolen out of a tote the movers knocked over. I didn't notice until after the move was complete and I couldn't find it. neighbors shared camera footage of the move day and shows them clear as day. pocketing drugs. 2. my items were damaged in transit due to poor loading. It was $700 worth of items damaged, but was only paid $50 from their claims department. I booked them on Uhaul - Moving Help . com and Carla was the one that contacted me. She was AWFUL. Rude and catered to her staff's needs, not mine at all. Drivers start late (after 9:00) according to her because they have kids and have to get them to school. When people are renting a truck and hire movers, many needs are earlier than that. Some movers start at 7 or 8 so they can get you "moving" on your way. She was on another job and could only text, not talk. You had to book them first and then find out that they were NOT meeting your time schedule and could not bend. But worse, Carla said "We are number one" and acted like my needs did not matter at all. She also said they might be after 9:00 because of traffic. I booked another company that starts at 7:00, we movers, and will get me on my way. I canceled this because she was rude and would not even call to discuss what I needed. I could have added a person to offset the late start, but she would not even give me the time of day in courtesy. Carla responded right away, she tries to "blame" people that call her out. Other reviews show her trying to blame her other customers as well. If she was moving a person that had no blankets, she should have told them things can get damaged. To me, out of the multiple companies I contacted, she was the worst one, arrogant and uncaring. A person moving your things has everything you value in their possession. And it's crushing if things break, (and they can) but Carla has 0 compassion, she seems to be addicted to her texts but not having contact with people. Several complaints about her, read on. Even though I had it wrapped and secured, it still would have broken because of the way he stupidly threw it up in the air. That same mover PROMISED me a FULL reimbursement and they completely lied to me. THEY ARE NOT INSURED!!! On Sunday November 21st, we hired C&C Moving to help my husband and I unload our furniture. The next day I received a text message notifying me that the movers were running late. When the movers arrived, they were very nice and friendly and easy to talk to. However, in the very beginning they took an extremely long time to bring our 86" tv from the moving truck to our home. It was not far at all. We couldn't understand why it was taking so long. We even thought that they had left and did not want to do the job. But it turned out that they took an alternative route to bring the tv to our home. They unloaded the whole truck in a timely manner. After they left we started organizing and cleaning. When I was wiping down the tv, I noticed a crack on the screen. I immediately asked my husband for the remote and when we turned it on that's when we noticed our tv screen was damaged. I sent Carla a photo of the damage and asked who was going to repair my tv. I explained to her what happened and sent her a video of the walkway that the mover took and showed her how narrow and sharp the turns were. It's been 24 days since I contacted Carla to let her know about the damage. I have been calling and texting her to get an update and has completely ignored me. On 12/16/2021 at 5:19pm I text messaged Carla letting her know that I have not heard from her and if she had an update. Her reply was the following from her personal iPhone at 5:19pm. "Thank you for calling C and C moving. The office is closed, please visit us online at movinghelp.com. thank you again and have a great day! I checked her hours and she closes at 6pm... STAY AWAY!! Charlie, the owner is extremely unprofessional, rude and a con artist. Charlie came to our house prior to our move to give us an estimate. No matter what we asked he said not a problem we can handle it. The day of the move the movers arrived 15 minutes late. Movers were very friendly but did not package belongings as safely as promised. Once truck was loaded I received an irate phone call from Charlie. He was screaming, swearing, demanding extra cash and threating to dump our belongings on the side of the highway. I plan to report to the BBB as well as IRS because I can almost guarantee he is not reporting anywhere near the amount of money he is raking in. If looking for a moving company I would keep looking!! I scheduled with Carla for 12:30pm for a 3 hour service through MovingHelp with Uhaul. At first she contacted me quickly and appeared to be professional and in agreement. Until she texted the day before asking us for 11:00-11:30am start time. I said it's through uhaul for 12:30 but we would try to see if we can get the truck a little early. She sent her movers to our place at 10:00am. The movers met us at our originally scheduled time and stated they were leaving at 2:30 and were not going to finish. I asked for movers to complete. Carla stated I was rude after I sent those photos of abandoned property. They left our doors and the uhaul wide open. Wife was crying. We called uhaul support and they got us MC Movers through Carlos, the owner of MC movers. He said every mover is supposed to show up with tools to prepare to dissemble and reassemble furniture and prepare for additional requested time. They were not supposed to leave us hanging with an incomplete job. Carla surprised me because she texted lie after lie. First she said they had to leave because of the weather. Then she said I was rude. Then she just said they were leaving. So they left furniture in the old apartment, in the uhaul, and left our door wide open with our TVs, apple Mac, laptop, my wife's engagement ring, and more personal belongings with door open. My wife and I were helping C & C movers by helping move the belongings that we could carry. Carla blamed uhaul as well. We told uhaul and many people about this experience and they said this is actually a criminal and civil case. We made a police report for leaving our valuable belongings exposed. I've never heard of movers arriving without any tools, arriving two hours before the scheduled time and especially leaving without completing the job. Very unprofessional, was informed they would provide licensed uniformed personnel with masks. Did not bring any tools to disassemble furniture, did not have box cutters. They did not bring different sized boxes nor did they use the packing materials to pack the breakable. To cut the boxes down to make smaller they used owners steak knives. They did not use a company moving truck they went and got a uhaul and returned the next day to load and take to storage. Heavy boxes were placed on top of light boxes causing breakage boxes collapsed. Items were shoved and thrown into storage. We suspect the packers were day laborers since they were not in company uniform. Only 2 of the boxes were actually marked with what was in it. I recently hired c&c movers to move my daughter from Texas to Georgia. When they movers arrived one of the movers were arguing with their spouse who brought them to work because of this they started at least 15 minutes late. We had hired them for 2 hours and it ended up taking them for. We provided blankets to wrap our furniture to prevent damage but they did not use them. As you can see and the pictures several of our items were damaged. And they did not pop pack things properly. When I contacted Carla the owner she stated that this was not an issue with the movers and the packing job they did but because of the way that U-Haul was driven. Everything was tied down so it would prevent movement when the U-Haul was driven. As you look at the pictures you can tell that the packing was not done respectfully and things were shoved wherever they could fit therefore it caused damage. I have been fighting with the owner or manager Carla to try to get some type of compensation for the damage but yet she is trying to make excuses. I do not recommend this company in any way shape or form and will never use them again. read more

I hired this company through uhaul the i booked for 3 pm I was told by the owner of the company that she had been trying to reach me all week which was untrue because as soon as I finished the phone conversation with the customer service rep they called so she was like oh it's for one and that she had other families to help mean while I'm driving in from Louisiana so ok cool lets just go ahead and cancel she then replied she had moved a few people around the whole drive she steady texting me till I finally stopped and called her and asked her to stop distracting me while I'm driving get here there's only one mover and his wife they say the other mover got in an accident long story short the wife ends up having to help the mover I text the owner she was rude and constantly saying she had to move around to get me help that I paid for might I add my dresser and drawer were damaged because the mover slide them down the stairs the poor old lady couldn't really pick up on anything and all the owner did was be rude and spoke to me as if she was doing me a favor even though I didn get what I paid for never would I ever use this company I will say the guy was nice tho read more

I booked C&C to load up a moving truck via HireAHelper. They damaged all of my furniture, almost every single piece. I've moved many times, whether it was myself loading up a truck or hiring movers and I've never had a problem with furniture being damaged before. When I contacted the owner of C&C, she denied responsibility and compensation for damages. That and she lied multiple times. I understand things don't go as planned, but you would hope a company would stand behind their services. There's many moving companies out there. I recommend finding a more reputable one. I booked this company off of the U-Haul website when I was making the truck reservation. They were one of the hightest rated San Antonio moving companies on the U-Haul website, so they seemed like a good choice. The pricing was fair, $55/hour, 2 hour minimum. The communication was great - the office called me after booking online and again the day before the move. The movers were very honest...my dad dropped some cash without noticing and they picked it up and handed it to him. They also pointed out some minor damage my furniture had as they were unloading the truck (it was pre-existing but I appreciated them keeping an eye out for it). My furniture had been loaded by a 2 man crew in McAllen. The crew from C&C asked my dad (a 66-year-old heart patient) to help them with some of the heavier pieces. I didn't like that. The other crew was able to load (which is more difficult) on their own without any help. C&C was just putting the stuff in storage, which was air conditioned and had elevators. They had the easier job but didn't seem able to pull it off as well as the guys from McAllen. They unloaded all of our property from the 24' Uhaul, descended a flight of stairs from the road and ascended stairs in our apartment. All of this without incident. C&C sent Jordan and Daron to help out with our move and they were fantastic! They showed up on time...literally 5pm sharp. We walked through the house and I showed them everything that I needed help with. They asked if I had any preferences on how I wanted my furniture organized in the unit. They helped me wrap my furniture properly and took great care in moving some very large pieces through some very narrow areas. They worked very very fast too! We got the equivalent of a 3 bed home moved in 3 hours. I would highly recommend C&C to any friends/family. I only wish they were in Colorado to help me out at my new place. read more

We had approximately $2000 in damages to our furniture and personal items.. We had 25 furniture blankets that the "movers" refused to use.We had to leave 15 items behind due to the "movers" not being able to pack our truck correctly. Used these folks last weekend to move from our rental to new home outside of town. The three man crew showed up on time and busted their tails the entire time. I should mention that there was a heat advisory in effect for the day, but that didn't slow them down one bit. I had a 500lb gun safe to move and they were able to get that done with relative ease. They packed the U-Haul efficiently and made sure everything was securely in place for the short drive to new location. They then unloaded in short order, actually finishing in over an hour less time than I had estimated. I've already recommended them to a friend for his next move. We have used C&C on 2 other occasions with great results, but this move was the worse experience in my adult life. John and Devon were very nice young men, but lack the necessary packing experience one would expect. We had the equivalent of a small 3 bedroom home, with 75% of our property in boxes. The process started at 10 am....and ended at around 5:30. We had a 20 and 15 foot truck. Our last move was done with a 20 and 10 foot truck. The previous move also contained a washer/dryer, love seat, and couch. We have also downsized while here in San Antonio. On this move, we had no washer/Dryer, love seat, or couch, yet John and Devon failed to pack our property in a bigger truck. I had to tell them to better utilize the space in the truck, and they said they would...but never did. It looked like a couple of rookies packed the trucks. When we finally left our house (4.5 hrs later), drove 45 minutes to our new home, we discovered many items damaged, and got to see the horrible pack job...I took several pics. I told John they broke a lot of my stuff, and his response was, "it already looked loose". My wife contacted Carla, and asked what she could do to make it right. Carla waived some labor cost, but did not do anything about the damaged property, and we still need to make extra trips back to SA because they failed to get all of our stuff. #1, it took 4.5 hours to load less than a 3 bedroom home...into 2 trucks, with 75% boxes. The 2 workers took way too long to complete their job, thus milking the clock for more hours/$. Totally unacceptable, worse move ever, and because of this situation, I will never use C&C, nor recommend them. As an added bonus, we found their garbage on the ground (Orange juice bottle/bag of Doritos) where their SUV was parked. True professionals! I understand we can all have bad days, but to take someone's money after breaking many pieces of furniture is despicable. read more

Inexperienced high school kids paid minimum wage by the moving service owner who doesn't take responsibility for their mistakes. They didn't finish the job in time, and a lot of my furniture was beat up and destroyed due to improper packaging and packing, including an expensive TV stand made of wood that was completely destroyed and is now unrepairable such that it had to be thrown out. read more

I do not normally write online reviews, but the service I received on 3/23/18 was so awful, I feel compelled to warn others thinking about using C&C Moving. My wife and booked C&C through HireAHelper on 3/16/18, for a move to take place in San Antonio on 3/23/18. My wife and I live in Ohio and we had just sold our downtown condo in San Antonio. We were going to be in San Antonio for just 3 days before driving the 26' truck back to Ohio. We had timed the move to allow for the afternoon of 3/23/18 to load the truck. C&C was supposed to arrive between 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. They were over one (1) hour late. When Stephen and Nicholas arrived, they had not pre-planned the parking arrangement of their own vehicle. They took another 30 minutes to find a parking spot and return to the condo to load. They were non apologetic. The very first furniture item they chose to move was a Restoration Hardware aviation wing desk, which is aluminum and quite heavy. They used moving straps to try to move the desk. The strap slipped, and the desk came crashing down about 12 inches onto the concrete. Fortunately, the concrete floor did not crack. The desk was not damaged at that point. However, the movers dented and scratched the polished aluminum desk somewhere between the elevator (we lived on the 2nd floor, which meant the movers had to use either the elevator or the stairs) and the truck. Stephen and Nicholas had no shame in bumping into the walls and the door frames as they carried items. Nearly everything they moved has a scratch or dent. The most egregious conduct was their moving of a 2-piece cloth sectional sofa. This was a new piece of furniture in pristine condition. They were unable to fit it into the elevator, so they used the stairs. The stairwell floor was very dirty, with a thick layer of dust and debris. While Stephen and Nicholas tried to use their straps to carry the bulky sofa, they were unable to use the straps around corners. So, instead, they drug the sofa across the dirty floor; worse, one of the movers had scrapes and abrasions on his upper extremities (presumably from other moving jobs); when they exited the stairwell, I was at the bottom and noticed several blood stains on the sofa in addition to dirty, soiled corners of the sofa. I pointed out to the mover the blood spots, who said "do you see any blood on me?" My wife was quick to point out that yes, you have scrapes all over your arms and your arms clearly have been all over the sofa. I immediately called Carla, the contact person at C&C, and of course, she didn't answer. One of the movers went to take a smoke break and called her before I could. She was apparently on the phone with the mover. I left a voicemail for Carla, but she never called me back; instead, she sent me a text message stating that I would have to contact HireAHelper about the blood stains. The move was scheduled to take 3 hours. It ended up taking over 4 hours. The movers took many smoke and water breaks (of 5-10 minutes) during this time period. We were now close to 6:30 p.m., so my wife and I decided to move the last 30 or so items ourselves down to the building's entrance to make it easier for the movers to finish the job. We moved items like tables, chairs, bed frame, and other home furnishings, or the move would have taken another 30-45+ minutes for the movers to load the truck. This was an absolute awful experience. I would caution anyone thinking about using C&C, as I cannot imagine a worse moving company. read more

We booked these movers through uhaul hire a helper so it was very easy. The movers were scheduled at 10am and they arrived on time. The movers seemed to be young college kids, very nice and respectful. I hired them for 2 hours and since this is not my first move, I figured I'd end up with them for 3 hours but unfortunately for us 3 turned into 4 1/2 hours at a snails pace it seemed- they didn't charge me for the last 1/2 hour which was nice but as nice as these guys were they were just slow moving(hahaha literally), they chatted alot about music, girls, lifting, fitness- which is all well and good when your on your own dime. I guess over the years I've just had some really good movers before to compare them to that have really hustled, so overall these guys were very nice just extremely lackadaisical. read more

We used C&C as a result of a referral. Carla returned my call quickly, answered all of my questions and was ALWAYS accessible. I had never used a mover before and relied heavily on her expertise to transition into our new home quickly and smoothly. I couldn't have been more pleased. Patrick and Jake were our helpers and they were on time, pleasant and ready to go. We didn't have a whole house to move but what we had was heavy and had to be moved into a second floor apartment with awkwardly angled stairs. Not only did they get it done, they got it done in half the expected time. They were THAT good! We brought them water and donuts in case they needed a break and a snack but they never stopped to have it. We sent it with them and wish we could have offered them a bigger tip than we gave them. They were terrible. They showed up hours late with a bad attitude and wanted to throw all our stuff onto the truck in no order. We tried telling them how we wanted our stuff on the truck and they were rude. Stacy the guy in charge said, "he would only do it his way". His way was putting heaving things on light things. He also would not put them on the truck heavy to light (back to front) like you are suppose to. My wife and I were even helping them and they still wouldn't do it correctly. Stacy said, "they have five stars and there is nothing we could do to change that". I told them to leave and they wouldn't so my wife had to call the police. Then my wife and I (both decorated disabled veterans) loaded the truck ourselves. They were the most unprofessional scum we have ever dealt with. They acted like they were straight out of prison. The movers showed up late and were very young (Jay & ?). I should have realized they were not professionals by the way they were dressed and sent them away but I thought maybe it would be okay. One of the boys (not Jay) wore basketball shorts and flip flops...yes I said FLIP FLOPS. I contacted the company and she said she has never had a complaint about these two so I sent her a picture of the attire. I have an elevator so I knew it would take a bit longer so I made sure everything was stacked in the living room and wrapped the furniture myself with blankets and shrink wrap. I gave them rope and extra blankets and told them I was moving 1800 miles so would appreciate them securing as they go. They took three totes down the elevator and stayed down with the truck for 45 minutes, not sure what they were doing but we had already completed the first hour and all they had done was move three totes....Carla assured me that they were professional so I let it go. She called and talked to them which caused one of them to have an attitude (the one in flip flops of course). They started moving faster and told her they had about 30 minutes left of work but took an hour and 30 minutes. All these two had to do was take the stuff out the door, load up the elevator and put it on the truck, everything was ready to move out the door. The elevator is large and can be filled up before moving. To give an idea, it took us 2 1/2 hours load a truck from storage and to move all of this stuff in the apartment when we rented. Surely it can be moved down stairs in 2 hours. So when they got done and 12:35 they said they would give me an hour free but I had to pay an additional hour in cash. The total time 9:20 to 12:35 and they only gave me 15 minutes off! The flip flop guy brought his phone and spent at least 15 minutes standing in the kitchen sending text messages, then as I was paying them the required $40 cash he takes his vapor and starts blowing out the smoke in my apartment!! This is not professional and I would never recommend this company. When I arrived in California yesterday the company that unloaded the mess said I am lucky I didn't lose everything because of how poorly it was packed. They threw the blankets on the floor in the back and didnt even bother to put them on the washer/dryer before stacking boxes. Everything is scratched up the back of the couches are broke down from the stacking job. The crew took an hour to unload the stuff, assemble furniture, and hookup the appliances. It amazes me that C & C didn't send someone to check on the two loading my stuff especially since I complained right away and even sent pictures! read more
