Our experience with this guy was one of a kind to say the least. I am assuming he thought he was dealing with a couple of idiots that were looking for a shiny car to take off his hands. We were looking for a dealership, but it turned out to be a tiny office hidden with one roll up door. He had said to call prior to arriving to make sure he was at the office. We realized after the fact that he was typically closed on Sundays and I wish he let our call just go to voicemail to save us the hour trip up there. So we pull up and park, he is with another customer so we say hi and patiently waited. He walked over and told us we were early and the car isn't here yet...well clearly it isn't. Ok no problem we will wait. So he goes back to the other customer. Then the other customer leaves shortly after and he turns back to us and tells us yet again that were early and the car is on its way. He asks us to leave and get coffee then come back...umm no thank you. We will wait since we have other cars to look at and this was an out of the way trip. So he leaves after carefully locking up everything. Enough time goes by...we decide 5 more minutes and we are leaving. He drives up with 3 minutes to spare so we proceed to look at the car. The brakes were horrid...right off the bat they were loud. It was shocking really and I didn't hesitate to point it out. His instant response was...Oh they are high performance brakes that is normal. HA HA... ok who are you seriously fooling buddy. No offense but let's be real here. So as my man is carefully checking out the car he is just standing there with this whatever attitude, backwards hat, and shorts on. Very unprofessional guy to say the least. So I ask him how long he has had the car, he said 7-8 months. Red flag number two... WOW ok then. He proceeds to tell me it is his "every day driver" car. Hmm, ok so why are you selling it? He said driving it is a "perk to owning a car dealership and it's time to move on to the next toy". That's Red flag number three. He picked up this car from his house, brought it to us with his golf clubs in the trunk. It wasn't sitting in a lot with a for sale sign on it, he was driving the heck out of it for the last 7-8 months and never bothered to fix the brakes. Alright buddy... I already decided prior to your arrival with the car we would not be purchasing this car based on previous interactions, but that really hit home for me. So we test drove it for fun, returned it and left. To be honest I couldn't wait to leave, complete waste of our time. This is a solid BUYER BEWARE situation. While waiting for him to bring the car we read two other reviews out of curiosity and the situation the other lady explained about the truck was unfortunate. But it was the way Ross responded that really turned us off. Yelp might be a joke to you, but to others it's a way to help others make informed decisions prior to dumping thousands of dollars into a car.
Let me note.. we looked at a black 2013 Audi S4 and his name was Ross Ashley. My man owns his own shop and has extensive knowledge of Audi's. Enjoy your "high performance brake pads" Ross and good luck. read more
