This Byrne Dairy is quite an immaculate show of customer service dressed to the nines, always fresh coffee, and happy deli workers/general staff. The bakery is just top notch with very satisfying baked goods. I believe the baked goods are delivered daily by Sherry's Donuts, and what a beautiful gift these deliveries are. The brownie wasn't so bad. It had a great semi-dense texture to it alongside a luscious coating of fudge frosting. I'm personally more of a thick brownie person myself, but it was alright. I give it a solid 5/10. The half moon cookie was to die for!!! The last time I tasted a half moon cookie on tHus caliber was when my mother hand made them when I was a kid. The cake part of the cookie was soft, but not crumby. And the frosting was a beautiful combo of sweet vanilla buttercream and oh so sweet chocolate! The store itself is loaded with a vast variety of snacks and drinks; yes that includes alcohol! ;D. But I digress. The deli section has all that a sandwich lover would consider as Paradise and then some. The store itself is clean, in order; it has fully stocked shelves, for the most part, and so many varieties of ice cream to choose from! Not to mention an amazing array of food including: pizza, burgers, chicken, mozzarella sticks, salads, and even fresh veggies to satisfy both the omnivores and vegans out there! :). The reason why I giving one star because my experience for today was pretty rough and bad. I love this location. I never have a problem with anyone but one of the employees he made a mistake or something. I don't know it's supposed to be something that he's supposed to do with his job but I was not the only customer was in the store. There was a couple people there too. He went inside the dairy cooler. He started freaking out and being loud, and after that when I was at the register, he went right behind the register and just walk across the the back and he said fuck really loud that behavior is unacceptable for that business this happened today May 8 2026 at 2400 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13219 like 7:23 am I really hope corporate take a look at that location and maybe pull up the video how he act read more

I've been going to byrne quite awhile and find it at times just disgusting. Especially store 491....the Garbage cans outside are ALWAYS full to tippy top. Rarely see them clean. The bathrooms arent ALWAYS great anytime i used them. And the staff at times just seem rushed and not happy. I at times feel rushed and not appreciated. And the french vanilla creamer in the machine is ALWAYS out LoL!! so funny. I like byrne for its great ice cream of course chocolate milk. But where the donuts are stored the cabinets are NEVER clean. And i would say that for a few of the Byrne's in the area. You don't wanna touch the handle it's ALWAYS sticky and gross. read more

Always pleasant and always clean, including the bathrooms. They carry their own brand of ice cream which is the best in the Syracuse area. I'm there almost every day for their coffee, subs, and gas. read more

None of the employees wear masks here. I would never come back here. The last time I waited 15 minutes for ice cream. And this time, I went back and stood outside.. at the ice cream window. No one came out. The employee behind the counter yelled "Come inside." I said I didn't feel comfortable because the store was packed and the employees behind the counter weren't wearing masks. read more

This Byrne location just keeps getting worse and worse. The employees look like they all came from homeless shelters with no pride in their appearance for any Customer Service skills. I went in today to get some whip cream. One whole section of their dairy case was completely empty- and they are a dairy company!!! I asked if they had any whip cream and they said they "got a delivery yesterday but hadn't put it out yet." Really?? (The store was basically empty except for one guy who was buying something like 50 Powerball tickets) The manager he would go get some whip cream for me in the back if I could wait a minute. That minute turned into four minutes and he was chewing the fat with the guy who bought the Powerball tickets like I was invisible. I finally asked the kid making sandwiches if he would please go back and get me some whipped cream, which he does and he also apologized for the way. The manager said nothing. He never even stopped chatting with the Powerball guy. I spent years in the hospitality industry- and the manager they have at this store, which is across from the Solvay reservoir, would not last five minutes in my kitchen! If he was on my crew, the minute I saw him ignoring a customer to chat with some guy for five minutes after he bought Powerball tickets, he would be shown the door! he is definitely not management material. read more

Byrne Dairy has become a staple gas station and eatery with subs, pizza, burgers, wraps,etc. made fresh. They also have a wide selection of lunch foods including prepackaged sandwiches and salads. As well as cheap soda and decent coffee with Byrne Dairy Ice Cream available nearby in the freezer as a topping or office snack. I feel like any day now we are going to be seeing them take over a 24hr slot on Uber Eats. I can't ever remember seeing a dirty or messy Byrne Dairy. Keep up the good work guys! read more

I'm shocked with 2 people testing positive in this store for covid 19, I went in at 1pm today ( 11/29/2020 )to get lunch for work. Right in front of me a young lady walks in and goes behind the counter, I walked around the counter to place my order and see her in back from what I assumed she was clocking in for work. The problem was this young lady walked in with no mask on and went behind the counter clocked in. She took off her coat and there was her mask right around her neck but she never pulled it up over her face nor did any of the other employees tell her to. It wasn't until she went to the bathroom and came back out did she put her mask on. Very disappointing since there's a huge sign on the door that says face mask required. I dont know if she was a manager or what but something needs to be done about that. read more

I went into this store and looked around and decided to get a sandwich behind the counter. When I stepped up to get waited on and the clerk asked may I help you. I told her what I wanted and as soon as I started speaking she ignored me and started listening to another customer. Then she asked me again so I asked her are you sure your ready? She got an attitude and wanted to argue with me because she was rude with me and I called her out on it. If your clerks hate people so much, why are they working here? Or perhaps management doesn't mind if customers go elsewhere. I'm sure I'm not the only one that had this problem. But it'll be the last time I bring my money to Byrne dairy because I hate giving rude people my money. All I can say is good luck, you'll need it with clerks like the one that waited on me. read more

Sandwich maker was untrained and very slow still made a good sandwich. Had to go to another line 2K after waiting 20 minutes. Had to stand in line behind two guys not wearing masks. Great gas station; however if your pumping gas the pumps are SUPER SLOW! If your in a hurry or it's cold outside skip the station and go to a different one for gas. read more
