I would not go back here. 1) I bought a Groupon - they said $20 more for 'mink lashes' so that didn't feel right from the get go. 2) it's been about 2 weeks and the lashes mostly fell off within the first week. Some of my own lashes fell out with the extensions so I have less than before I got the extensions. 5 lashes fell off while I was driving home after I got the extension. 3) there were 3 screaming children while I got the lashes done and the whole floor shook with them running and jumping. Not a good experience. The tech that worked on me said "my nieces" & made no attempt to quiet them down or ask me if I was ok with the floor shaking. 4) the lashes point in all directions. I've had extensions before so I know this is a poor job done. Also, I think the glue they use here must be poor quality as my eyes were stinging immediately after & still bother me as if some foreign substance is slowly getting in them everyday. 5) the tech didn't even introduce herself so I don't know her name. I usually go to Lucy's lashes in Huntington Beach which is far for me but this is place is down the street from my house and the lash glue is the highest quality lash glue for sensitive eyes. BUYER BEWARE. You get what you pay for. It's your face so spend the extra $50 and go some where else. First off, California requires all eyelash establishments to be done by licensed estheticians or cosmetologists. NONE of their tools were sanitized..I took pictures just in case and I am glad I did in case of infections. The man that did my lashes spoke NO English and gestured me to lay down. All he asked me in the little English he knew was "full?" Or "natural?" I said natural. The outcome of my session was horrific. I got up and looked in the mirror and saw a clown. I said..."what the f***" and he left the room and went into a different room to hide. The lashes were glued so upwards it touched my eyelids. There is nothing "natural" about it. My daughter was there with me so I didn't want to raise hell. I went to a dinner appt after and my business partners started making jokes. I came home and took it all off because I didn't want to go to church looking like Lucille Ball. He was not licensed and FOR A FACT he was in training practicing on me and I am so pist off. And may I add..these people think consumers are stupid until they mess with the wrong consumer. I am the Vice President of a hair extension and eyelash extension company and knows what MINK eyelash is. When I took the lashes off (which I paid extra for thinking it's mink) and looked at it..I took it to my lab at work and found it is man made synthetic. I have the lashes I took off from their shop. The fibers will match the ones in their shop after the investigation begins. I kindly texted them to refund my money..#1 they are not licensed #2 false advertisement #3 counterfeit product sales (charging mink prices for fake) #4 even their Waiver says the "Trained Professional " will discuss the process...and there was no "discussion" before the install. I wanted to try out eyelash extensions for the first time so i texted the number that was posted and they got back to me a day later which was fine. I was asking about how their appointment worked and the lady asked me if I registered on their website yet and I said yeah. I mean dont get me wrong Trinh was actually GREAT but I wanted Kelly because i looked at all the photos, and most of the lash work that I liked was done by her. Trinh did my lashes and I could tell she took her time, she was also really nice and explained everything to me. I got the mink full set. I said i wanted something natural and she told me that i should go natural and size 13 since im not used to it. We finished and she did a good job because my lashes were full, but the only thing is that they werent natural. They werent what I expected. It was really full and thick. Well first off it's a little difficult to find. And then the address needs to be updated because they're in a different location. I made an appointment and am still sitting here waiting and wondering when I'm going to be seen. The waiting area is really cheap and badly done. Overall not impressed. The "reception" area looks like a break room. Seems really unorganized here. My lashes came out bomb except it took almost 2 hrs. I got my lashes done here by Danny who didn't speak a bit of English, it took him almost 2 1/2 hours. The next day I noticed that my lashes were falling like crazy. By the third day 85% of my lashes were gone. I texted them and told them what had happened and they said come in and they will redo them for a $50 charge a new full set. Why should I have to pay $50 and I had just got my lashes done three days ago. What a rip off and the customer service was terrible and she didn't respond to my message until a day later. I found this place on Groupon a couple months ago, but never had the time to actually get it done. Then I realized that my offer was expiring within the next 2 days, so I called to ask if there was anything I can do about it. No response. Then I get a text a couple hours later and I tried to explain my situation. The person I was texting said that if my offer expired that I'd have to pay the difference of $98 more than the $54 I already spent on the Groupon itself, equaling out to be $152. $152 on eyelash extensions, seriously? I asked if there was anything else I can do, no response. A few days later, Groupon itself asked if I wanted to renew the offer for my lashes, which I did. Therefore yay, new unexpired Groupon! I tried to call/text the number multiple times over a few day timespan, but no response, of course. I finally got fed up and texted them, demanding that they reply.. FINALLY. I get a response, book the appointment, done. Fast forward to the day of my appointment: I had trouble finding the place, but eventually figured it out. I walk into a headed argument taking place between a customer and a technician. Yikes. Long story short, the customer's eyelashes came off a week after getting them done. She was upset and wanted someone to fix them or a refund. She also tried to contact the manager, but didn't succeed. It was to the point where the customer was arguing with my technician, in the room that I was about to get my lashes done in. Another technician comes in and explains that there's nothing that they can do, because they have appointments booked for the whole day and the manager is at the Torrence location. She asks the customer to leave the room, but she demands to stay in the room until she gets help. She ended up standing in my room for 10-20mins as I'm getting my lashes done. Super super awkward. I can see both sides to the argument but I just really wanted to get my lashes done so I get out of there already! Horrible. ANYWAYS - the process itself was okay for my first time. The "massage table" that I was laying on was very stiff and uncomfortable. There wasn't a pillow for my head either. I felt bad for moving so much, but I couldn't help it. The glue was burning my eyes and continued to do so for the next couple of hours. They feel fine now. I just don't understand why the person I texted told me to look for styles that I wanted, if the technician did her own thing. Don't get me wrong, my lashes came out nice, but just not what I was expecting. At the end of the day, I think I'd save getting eyelash extensions for special occasions and definitely check out different places. DON'T COME HERE!! I've been getting eyelash extensions for about 3 years so I know how to take care of them, I don't rub my eyes or sleep on my face. For my last 2 sessions my lashes have been falling out ALOT, not with my natural lash just the extension itself. I tried to mention it to Tony but he doesn't understand English so we could not communicate , he said something to one of the girls in the other room & she yelled something back nothing resolved. The communication in this establishment is terrible. I showed them a picture of my friends lashes, she's gotten them done there multiple times. The first time she hated them, gave them a second chance and then she was very specific on what she wanted. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by a lady who walked me to a room to a young man who was going to do my lashes. I showed the lady the picture of my friends lashes and she said "she has mink, do you want mink or synthetic?" I've had mink before and it was too thin for my liking so I decided to try the synthetic this time around. The tech had to stop twice due to the adhesive seeping into my eyes making them burn. I'd give this place zero stars. First of all the place is disgusting and had poor AC. The guy who was supposed to do my lashes did not sanitize or wash his hands and it smelt like siracha sauce. I purchased a Groupon for a full set and upon arriving For my appointment they asked me to cancel my Groupon and charged me more money than what was advertised on the Groupon including a service fee. I would not recommend this lash place to anyone as they obviously do not care about the customer they care more about the Dollar. He's the only male worker and speak very limited English . He was okay but not speaking the same language sucks. I bought a Groupon, and I had no issues with that or making an appointment. The man who put my lashes on didn't speak any English, so the lady had to communicate what I wanted. Of course I was up sold for some mink lashes, so I paid for that. When I left, I thought they felt weird, kind of heavy and plastic... over 1/3 of the lashes were hanging down by the next day and started to fall out. I decided I wouldn't be going back to BX for my fill... I went to a very reputable lash place in HB, who told me those lashes were synthetic and not mink at all... I'm giving this place 3 stars because I liked the end results and that's it! For starters, it was sooo difficult finding this place. I was there maybe 10-15 minutes early for my appointment and when I tried to get a hold of someone via text/ call I never got a response. By some miracle I was able to find the place but only on my own. Second, it is so hard to get a response, you can call them multiple times and they will not answer. If you are lucky they will text you back within minutes, but it is rare. The owner really needs to get it together, and maybe hire a secretary or someone who can help, because this is not how you run a business. come on... Although I liked how my lashes came out, I would not return nor would I recommend this place. There are better places out there with better service. read more
