A quick and easy lash salon that I love I made an appointment on a weekday around 2pm. When I arrived I had to wait about 15 minutes until they were ready for me. I told her I wanted them extra long this time. She told me for only an additional $20 I can do mink if I want. However I refrained. I thought that was very cheap if you consider having mink lashes this would be the place to go. I just wanted them super full looking so I went with synthetic. The girl who worked on me worked in the room towards the left once you walk in. There are two rooms. The girl who did my lashes took about an hour and a half and they turned out exactly how I wanted them. I felt bad because I had just come back from Italy and my old lashes were terrible. She took time to remove the old ones to put back on the new ones for me. We didn't really talk much, which I was thankful for since I was so tired. It was a simple in and out. DONT come here!!! The facility is a mess. The also don't adhere to California cosmetology state laws. When they think you want an appointment they will respond immediately. When you have a complaint they won't even acknowledge you. First of all I'm a esthetician adhere by California state rules by sterilizing their implements. Also, they use the mascara brushes over and over with every client. It's unsanitary. I have been a client for two years and just started noticing that's they aren't following the rules. Well, I tried contacting the owner several times. No response. Nothing. I had my lashes done by Anna their new technician. Two days later I called the facility and they responded immediately with available appointment times. When I expressed my concerns it was crickets. My lashes were falling off only two days later and I wanted to come in and have them fixed. Nothing. I ended up having them fixed somewhere else. Nice, comfy, clean, charming studio. Annie was great ! Very friendly and welcoming. Since it was first time she explained the differences between mink and fiber and show me the different ones she had. I chose to go with the mink, more natural, soft, and light. It took under 90 minutes to complete, which turned out to be a great nap for me! When I woke up, I looked in the mirror and I was surprised and amazed of how I looked mire feminine. I have been a loyal client for about a year now! I come at least 1 x a week! I came 2 days ago for a fill & KELLY took 30 min. I thought it was fast and liked that she was fast.. One eye is "doll" and the other is "cat eye" I look like a joke. Soooo, as we finish he walked away and as I was walking out he had ANNIE ask me for a form of payment... I was shocked that I had to pay a full payment for the lack of work that KELLY did TWO days ago. Annie did not even look at me and pointed to Kelly and said talk to her. So I went to Kelly and she did not acknowledge me either.. best part is she said "YOU RUB AND SCRATCH WHILE YOU SLEEP" I didn't know they know my sleeping pattern. UPDATE REVIEW: My first time experience was great. But what did I know? It was my first time getting semi-permanent lash extensions period! So of course I loved it and I thought- let's go back a second time...! I made an appointment- which they make you pay in advance... and I thought- oh well I'm gonna go anyway. It was booked. One word: meh To start off, I texted the number to ask for pricing and to make an appointment and they responded pretty fast. I called on a Wed. and was able to get an appointment for Fri. 9am. Anyway, on Friday, I came early because I was unfamiliar with the area. I walked around the plaza looking for it, but had a hard time until these ladies from a nail salon saw me walking back and forth and said "it's upstairs". They knew exactly what place I was looking for. Must happen a lot. Anyway, I get there to Suite 210 and they're moved to 216 lol I go in and it's a bit awkward because they have just opened their place ( I was there 10 min before 9) and were setting up. I was told to wait in the waiting room for about 5 min and I got to go in. First of all, this is my first time ever getting my lashes done so I had low expectations for this place, not really knowing what to expect. The place was SILENT. No music, no white noises of ac or anything. The whole time laying there, all I can hear and feel is my tech breathing on me. The bed was soo uncomfortable, my neck was cramping the whole time. I felt bad, but I couldn't help but move and constantly rearrange myself. It was so hot in the room, I felt so suffocated. It was so uncomfortable laying there for 2 hours that I got such a bad headache after. I told her that I wanted a dramatic look, something that would be noticeable even when looking at me far away (like you don't have to stare at me up close to notice I have lashes). She suggested the natural shape instead of cat eye so that my eyes would appear bigger. Again, first time, so I took her advice. At the end of the session, my eyes were burning a bit, but it didn't last long. My eyelashes didn't look how I wanted. They were shorter than I wanted and not as full. If I took a step back from the mirror, it didn't even look like I had lash extensions. My eyes looked so short and weird to me and they didn't really look even. But I will give her the benefit of the doubt for that because my eyes are shaped weird sometimes lol. She just told me to brush it out and that was it. $70 for mink (that's what I did) and $54 for synthetic. You have to pay an extra $2 if you're paying with a card.. i didn't know that and didn't have cash so. Whatever, I just wanted to get out of there. The lashes now don't look too bad after a day because I tried to brush them out and shape them better, but I still won't be going back. It wasn't terrible, but not worth the price to me and I wouldn't recommend to someone. I'd rather pay a little more to go somewhere else and have it look better. Amy does a great job with my lashes! And recently I tried Annie, she did amazing too! You really can't go wrong. I paid $70 for my first for mink, natural lash application. And $45 for a 2 week refill or $55 for 3 weeks. If you don't want mink, I believe it's slightly cheaper. My only recommendation is for you to bring a small pillow. I've gotten many lashes done but this was the first time where I actually was in pain! I think Danny wasn't very familiar with doing lashes before. Towards the end, I heard him say something under his breath, like something happened - then I felt like he was pulling at my lashes! It was uncomfortable enough to make my eyes water. When I came out, I saw that one of the lashes was sideways and sticking out straight. I went to the car and managed to remove it after trying to get it to curve up without success. On my other eye, there was a little clump of lashes stuck together. Also, Danny's hands felt sweaty and it made it very uncomfortable. The whole time I was there I was thinking about the last place I got my lashes done at. This location is small, a little hard to find. However there was another woman there who was doing lashes and she helped me choose which lashes to get, the style and convinced me to upgrade to mink. She told me $20 but he charged me $22 and when I asked him about it, there was a language barrier and I couldn't understand what the $2 was for (was it for using a credit card? not sure). On top of it, I tipped too much for a service I thought was subpar and didn't feel great about the experience overall. On a positive note, the quality of the lashes seem good! Danny also did do a full set - nice and and complete. They weren't trying to be stingy on the lashes for sure, which I did appreciate. So I went because I had a Groupon which was a good deal but then she told me to cancel the Groupon and she's give me a better deal which was 70$ for mink. 1.5 hours later she was done and they looked okay initially a little uneven but okay. I did as instructed no water for 24 hours. Anyways today is 3rd day and 75% of the lashes are gone. It's so sad and the ones that are there are currently hanging on for dear life. They look like I've had them for weeks! Like the fake lashes are at the middle of my real lash! I feel so cheated out of this! Anyways listen to the reviews! Don't waste your time or money or anything. Find someone better who does better work and uses better quality glue & lashes. My appointment with Anna was less than 45 minutes and I look like I am in need of a fill just TWO days later! Once I got home and into a better light, I noticed that there were no lashes even applied to the outer corners of my lashes and she just did a poor job in general, there is a gap between my lid and where she applied the lashes.The customer service sucks because I've been hounding them for 2 days and they have yet to even seem concerned that their customer is unsatisfied and walking around looking crazy. I found this place on Groupon and I purchased the "full set of eyelash extensions" and I made my appointment through the Square app software they have on their website. Making an appointment wasn't difficult only if you want to reserve an appointment without the hassle of communicating through phone or text then I would recommend using this method. The only thing is that you have to be careful because they make you input your credit card info. If you miss your appointment they will charge you $25 cancellation fee if not notified within 24 hours. So I made mine on a day I knew I would be able to make it. The software also reminds you when your appointment is too, and you can check it online. The Square software is used almost everywhere too so I think it is legit. I was also able to choose my technician. I went with Anna. Upon arriving the GPS didn't really show where exactly the building was. It is a multi-business unit and I didn't see the number for the address on the building. There is additional parking in the back. Since the address said suite 216 so I figured it was the tall building. I came about 15 mins early to my appointment and no one was at the front so I had to call out to make sure someone was there. She (Anna) told me to wait in the waiting room. At 11:15 exactly, which is my appointment time, she was ready to take me. So she was on time, which is good. She asks me what I want I told her I have a Groupon and told me next time not to buy it because it will be the same price. (I have a student discount on Groupon so it's cheaper for me to buy it on there anyways) she told me the Groupon only covers "regular" lashes which were super plasticy and hard. She said I can pay $20 extra for the "mink" which were a lot softer and lighter feeling. I told her I wanted a wispy look, and I showed her, and she said that look can only be achieved if I buy mink. So I did, which was fine. She was gentle and I could barely feel her working on my lashes. The whole process takes the whole appointment window (11:15-12:30). They are a little thicker than usual but I figured it was fine because they usually fall out and end up being what I want it to look like anyways. As for the wispy style, it was kinda there but since it was super thick you can't really call it wispy. It was also hard to explain since I told her what I wanted in Vietnamese and I didn't know how to explain that style other than showing her. I'm giving it 4 stars because I had to pay $20 for "mink" though I think a wispy style can probably be achieved with the regular lashes. I'm not sure if I would go back it was kinda out of my way in Los Alamitos and I simply bought it because it was cheap with my student discount on Groupon. read more

Would not recommend. Terrible customer service. Was my first time here and technician didn't even bother to ask me any questions about what I wanted specifically. I had to basically try to explain what I had in mind and when I asked her to show me pictures of her work/ examples of styles, she couldn't. That should've been the first red flag. But you know, once you're already there it's kind of hard to walk away. So I figured, what's the harm? I was basically going in blind since it seemed she really didn't care to understand exactly how I wanted them to look. I must have been the last appointment in the day because not only did she rush through my lashes, she literally ran out of there when she was finished. No after care instructions etc. the lashes ended up being way too dramatic and absolutely not what I was going for. They were glued too close to my lash line which caused MAJOR irritation for the entire week I had them. Yes... WEEK. Most of the lashes fell out within the first FOUR DAYS. When I called/ texted to schedule a fill, my calls were ignored and no one responded to me. After almost half the day, I finally got a response and she wanted to charge me full price for a fill even though it had been less than a week since I originally got them done! After explaining that it had only been a week and I was unsatisfied, all I got in response was "you still want to come?" Definitely not worth the money. I was there for ten days and was doing water activity everyday. The lashes held up good. I was surprised. I was in the wind boating, snorkeling, parasailing, kayaking. Another point I like is that I didn't have to stay over an hour for her to complete a full set. Being on tight schedule, this is very important to me. She was fast and efficient. I went to BX Lashes because I read good reviews about them online. IT WAS A MISTAKE. The moment I walked in, 20 minutes before my session, I was disappointed with the office. It doesn't even have a number on the building so I couldn't even find the office! Besides that, I waited patiently for my appointed time. No big deal. But I notice it is my appointment time and the eyelash technician has yet to leave her office. She's with a client, okay, I understand. But 15 minutes go by and she doesn't show any sign of acknowledgement that a client is waiting for her. I peek my head over, see her, and she smiles to let me know she knows that I am there. 5 minutes go by and she's ready for me. So now it's 20 minutes after my appointed time and she's ready to see me. I tell her it's my first time and I'm super excited to get my lashes done. She has me feel the synthetic lashes and then the mink ones. It's a no brainer, I'll go with mink lashes for $20 more. So I lie down and she gets to putting lashes on me. Eventually, I hear somebody ask if anybody is there because they have an appointment coming up. She peeks out the room, tells them that she's working on me and she'll be just a few minutes more. Now I'm hesitant because she's going to rush my eyelash application. 5 minutes later she says I'm done. I open my eyes and I feel like there's bleach in there. IT BURNS! She waves the fan in front of my face. When I finally get a glimpse of my lashes, my eyes are bloodshot and my left eye is noticeably fuller than my right eye. I let her know that they look kind of uneven and she tells me to brush them with the wand to even them out. When I finally look at my phone, I see that she spent 40 minutes applying my lashes. FORTY! Since she was 20 minutes late to get me in and had scheduled somebody else an hour after me, she only spent 40 minutes applying my lashes. I go home and my lashes are horrible. They began falling out within a week so my sparse right eye was even more obvious. I finally called my friend and told her to fix them. She takes one look at my lashes and immediately tells me that whoever applied my lashes did a horrible job. They did! When she removed my lashes I took a look at them and they were clumped together! They weren't just super thick lashes or anything, they actually got glued together. Even worse, THEY WEREN'T EVEN MINK LASHES. I paid an extra $20 for nothing. I usually don't post on yelp, but this was a horrible (not to mention expensive) experience for me. BX Lashes was dishonest, and I cannot let other people go there without knowing about my experience. BX Lashes, shame on you for lying to me about giving me mink lashes, and shame on you for rushing my eyelash application. I understand it can be a tough business, but if you gave your clients the time and care that they needed instead of rushing them in and out, you would have a much more loyal clientele. Thankfully I have nice lashes again, but I will never go to BX Lashes again, and I will never recommend that anybody I know goes there. read more

They are nice but my lashes would fall out so quick and they don't cover your forehead so their hands are constantly touching your face. Ew.

I came to Annie (Bx- Lashes) after a Groupon I bought online after a friend of mine referred me which was such a great deal I could not turn down. This was my very first time ever getting lashes and I love how they came out, she was helpful in deciding what length and style. She did her magic in under an hour. I just got my lashes done today using the YELP coupon for the mink set. I had Annie. Very peaceful and quiet atmosphere, relaxing music. The process was about 1 hour 30 mins. It is hard to find but here is the best I can tell you: Turn into drive at Hof's Hut. It's the two story building in the back. Take stairs or elevator to second story It's unit 210 and there is no name on the unit. Not sure why they don't add the unit # here on Yelp. My biggest issue with these lashes in the past is having my eyes burn from the glue. It's premature but so far my eyes feel fine. I will update if necessary. The Yelp coupon didn't work while booking online from the link on here. It will charge you $120 and not the $70 The communication was very good during the booking.
