Where do I start...
Mathew Gonzalez reached out to me in response to my post on FB for a reliable pool repair service.
Mathew came out and evaluated our pool, and we discussed the services we wanted: surface replastering, wireless pool automation/upgrade, tile repair, pump replacement, thermal panel removal, and various small things.
He gave us a cost estimate with military discount, and he said he would save us money by doing the small things for free. He also said we will have him for 30 days after the pool is finished to help clean it and to make sure it is operating smoothly and we are fully satisfied. It all sounded wonderful, so we decided to go with his service.
It took a couple of months to finally get things rolling because of scheduling according to Mathew, but when they finally started on the pool repairs, the whole project took only a few days; a couple hours each day for about 3 or 4 days total. I thought that was rather odd for such a large project. What I also found odd was that we were never given a schedule or a timeline of when things were getting done. They would just show up randomly.
When they did show up, we had no idea what was being done because they wouldn't communicate. We asked them to replace a spa light with a brand new led bulb I had just bought, and they told us the power line was bad because the new bulb didn't turn on. Instead of asking us about the new led bulb they threw it out and replaced it with a conventional bulb without our concent. I am still very upset about that.
After those random few days had come and gone, no one has been back to even check on the pool or clean it or show us how to use the control panel, or anything. The 30 days that were promised never happened. We had to figure everything out ourselves. We also never received the pool automation tools that we asked for. It's been two months since the "completion" of the pool, and not a word from anyone. That's when my husband and I realized we were left high and dry. We keep calling and texting and waiting for a response. Ghosted. I finally said in my last text that I'm seaking legal action, and that's what I'll do.
I hope this review helps. Sorry it's so lengthy but hopefully it prevents you from an experience like mine. read more
