Jayme helped me with a warranty repair on a Hayward salt cell, which saved me hundreds of dollars vs buying a new one myself. Very professional service, and reasonable prices. I'll definitely hire this company again. read more

If you are looking for a great pool service, look no further. I highly recommend this company! I thought I had a great pool person before they came along, but found out I did not. I had a small waiting period before I could have somebody new come out and fix my pool. I had a very serious algae problem going on along with a couple of other issues once I got the water tested. Happy to report after only two weeks of working with this company...My pool looks awesome again and is ready to enjoy. But let my before and after pictures tell the real story. read more

A+++ Great Company, Jayme was amazing, Jay and Jayme make a great team. They both came out to address a pool pump and pool light wiring issues. They tag teamed the problems and got it all fixed. Jay's Pool And Spa Construction is Amazing. Everyone who works here is great. Great Prices and service. I had my pool totally renovated and reconstructed with excellent results. We are very happy with the weekly pool service and all the work done to get our pool finished. I will be recommending Jay's Pool And Spa Construction to all my family and friends. We have pool waterfall that over 12 years needed repairs and painting. I called several pool companies where a few never showed up or wanted to tear it out or wanted to charge several thousands to repair it. Jay came buy and knew right away needed to be done and quoted a very fair price on the spot. I was going to be our of town for a couple of weeks and Jay was able to work with me. His team showed up early, worked all day and got the job done in just 2 days. I REALLY wish I had taken before pictures so you could see what a great job they did. Let me just say that after Jay was done with this, it looked better than when it was brand new. It looks so real. read more

Not bad on cleaning the pool but you never know what you're going to be invoiced, one month its $258, the next month is another. They have a real billing problem and when you question it, its another charge 4 months later. Beware of the charges, don't like to be threaten by bad service read more

Just had our pool coping redone, concrete and retaining wall done by Jay and his crew. Through out the process they made sure everything was being done the way we wanted. Very happy with the end result. read more

I started paying for these guys to come in to clean my pool when all of the sudden they stopped coming to my house. I payed all that money for NOTHING. To be honest, I'm rather glad that they didn't show up because the job they did was horrible. They didn't even clean the filter when I asked them too and then they continue to do the worst job on the bottom of the pool. Please give me a refund because none of the guys that came to my pool ever returned. read more

Jay's Pool and Spa just finished our new pool. I am very very happy with not only our new poo but the entire process to get here. Our pool and built-in spa turned out beautiful and Jay's employees and crews were polite, professional, and on time throughout the entire process. I interviewed four pool contractors before choosing Jay,s Pool and Spa. Jay's price was very competitive but what I liked most was Jay's attention to detail. Jay was the only contractor that noticed and addressed a slight elevation change in our backyard. He incorporated that elevation change into our design and made our design even better. The Hayward equipment works great and the salt water pool is easy to maintain. Building a pool is an expensive and very large undertaking and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jay's Pool and Spa to anyone looking to build a pool, Spa, Outdoor Barbecue or all of the above!! Thanks Jay..... read more

I first called this service to help start my pump after filling our pool for the first time. Great service and found out that I could get my pool serviced for $155/ month for chemical check, add chemicals and sweeping. Great!! Our pool guy was Brandon. When he came, I watched him on my camera check the pool and add chemicals but I never saw him sweep. So, in the morning of the next scheduled day, I checked the pool and saw a few worms on my baja reef, and one stuck in the shallow end. When I came home, I noticed the same worms that I had to remove by sweeping my pool. I called the company to confirm what I was paying for. Sure enough, chemical check, chemicals and sweeping. When I told Jay that Brandon is not sweeping my pool, the response was, "we're trying to get your acid levels down. Who did the startup on your pool?" I told him, "you did!" So, the fact that he wasn't sweeping wasn't addressed. However, the next week Brandon was sweeping. My bill (for 2 months) DID go up one hundred dollars because they were adding extra bags of salt. But wait, aren't I paying for chemicals? Even if I'm too pay for extra bags of salt, $100 worth? No. I did discontinue service. There was no concerning questions so I felt there was no care or concern. Just cared about making money. One more thing: I took my water to have tested... salt was way above what it should be! Had to drain a portion of my pool to dilute! Make sure you pay attention to how your pool is being treated!! read more

I usually don't make negative comments about my experiences but I feel whoever came out to talk to us had no intention of earning our business. The man came into our backyard asked us a couple questions I asked if he was going to measure for the size of the pool he said no that he had it all in his head. He then said he'd get back to us with a quote it's been at least three weeks and we have heard nothing. read more

Jay just got done with our pool and we can't be any happier. He was professional from start to finish. There were a few setbacks but everything else had been really smooth. He also did our front yard and it turned out great. He complied to pretty much all the little requests we had and not once did he complain about it. If you want a pool contractor that you can trust, Jay is the man. read more

I have NEVER written a bad review but everyone needs to know about this service. From what I can tell the only thing Jay does right is hire. His daughter and his staff are GREAT! Jay however is one of if not the worst business owners I've ever witnessed. He took a $1,000 deposit to plaster my pool and went dark. He has told me he's sending it back but 30 days later still nothing. I have filed a claim in small claims court as I don't know another option. Don't put yourself in this situation and stay away from this guy. read more

* doesn't care about you once he gets paid * never shows up on time * no call no show * workers left lunch trash in my yard every day ( fast food containers cups, cans, and water bottles) * did not clean up work debris * workers used many of my personal tools without asking! read more

Jay and Jayme were amazing through our whole pool-building process. They stayed on their timeline and were highly professional. They communicated as needed and gave us plenty of time to make decisions for the pool. They never pressured us into adding more items but always offered ideas if we wanted or needed them. We absolutely LOVE our pool and hot tub - the design is amazing, the tile work is superb, and the water color is gorgeous. We are so grateful for their work and we highly recommend this business! read more

Terrible company not only did they half ass their jobs they left a huge mess in my parents back yard. The last two weeks we have had a gas leak after they replaced the heater and still havent fixed it. My parents are constantly getting told it will get done tomorrow over and over but then they don't show up. The pool looked way better before they touched it. Not very good with communication and blames it on everyone but themselves. I don't think you guys deserve a freaking dime. read more

This ass gave me a toilet bowl to swim in. None of our tile was replaced on our steps and the blue stain was left out, "a white toilet bowl". Run as fast as you can!!!, Jay will not do the rite thing and his daughter is no better. They have nothing but excuses and well long story short get in writing that it was supposed to look the same as it did but fresh and new. They did not come close at all !!!!! Oh and they like to blame each other for the mistakes so no integrity there either. The truth is I feel truly ripped off. I just can not believe this guy did this so badly , you would think they would be better at this by now.. Sorry for the rant please be careful, choose wisely. One star because it will not allow -5 read more

Jay is so easy to work with. He is very professional and knowledgable when it comes to pool construction and customized concrete stamping & color. Jay did our pool! Very happy, very beautiful! Professional and honest! His plans included drought resistant landscaping, gates, a barbeque, etc. All the people he hired did an outstanding job. He did our pool in 2001 and I need to call him for some revamps! Great company and great guy! read more

Jay just finished resurfacing our pool, including new tile, stackstone for the exterior of the spa, new lights, salt water, and some other odds and ends, and it turned out very well. The quality of workmanship seems to be high, and this morning I recommended this company to a friend who was asking whether I knew good pool contractor around here. I would use this company again. I note that some of the reviewers below said they had trouble getting Jay to show up or reply to communications. I find that puzzling; I never had any trouble getting him to respond to my communications, and he never missed an appointment. I found him easy to communicate with. read more

I would like to thank Jay for an awesome job and experience. We are a first time pool owners and wanted to do our due diligence in making sure we picked the right person for our first pool. After interviewing 4 other pool builders we decided to go with Jay and he was able to start immediately. Pool was finished ahead of schedule and looks amazing. Jay is easygoing and will tell it to you how it is, and is always willing to work with you as the projects moves on. We highly recommend Jay pool and spa and look forward to working with him on future projects. read more

I highly recommend this company. Very experienced. They were able to find the issue and complete the repair that three prior plumbers before them could not. The main goal was to get the job done and not worry about negotiating a price but that was also a non issue with the very reasonable price we were given. Don't waste your time calling anyone else. You might as well just start with Jay. And if they happen to be booked up it's because they know what they're doing but I can assure you it's worth the wait. read more

He failed to show up the two times I had a scheduled appointment with him. His first excuse for not showing was he might have called or text the wrong number when he was on his way which is a big fat lie. The second time he failed to show up I sent him a text but he never responded back. Very unprofessional way to run a business. What a waste of my time. read more

Just like all the other reviews. Owner Jay doesn't have any respect for his prospective clients. Was 30 minutes late to an appointment, no call, no sorry. When he finally arrived he had an enormous amount of attitude. Kept this review factual and absent emotion. read more

I would like to see a fat zero! I called for a bid and the guy eric vilalpando who is with this company started telling me I was trying to get my pool done for free and I finally told him he was the highest and I mean THE HIGHEST bid of all by over 10,000 then started being rude and asked me what I wanted to pay him what was I looking to pay and I just told him I was getting bids and he again started yelling at me telling me I wanted it for free so I told him I was ending the conversation and he said EXACTLY JUST WHAT I THOUGHT! Gosh like trying to BULLY me into his bid! If he needs work that bad LOWER the prices! I do not recommend this pool place at all as this guy has some major anger issues! read more

Just had the pool replastered on my rental property. Jay did a great job. ALWAYS answered his phone which is unheard of nowadays. Did the job quickly and showed up when he said he would. His workers did great work. There was an error with color, but Jay took complete responsibility and took care of it immediately. Prices were fair and reasonable. It took me over a year to find a vendor who would give a written estimate and/or even show up let alone answer their phone. I am out of state and had to handle everything by phone. Jay was honest and sent pictures to me during the process. I was able to come see the pool recently and was very pleased with the quality. I would highly recommend Jays pools. read more

We had Jay's Pool and Spa do our Pool and Spa and we love it! It is so beautiful and so pretty to look out our window at all times! We had them build us a reef for the kids and they get so much use out of it! We were wavering on our spa whether we wanted one or not and best decision ever! We use it all the time and the kids love it! The remote is the best and highly recommend it! Anytime you would like to see it just have jay bring you over! It came out beautiful and the stone work is so gorgeous we get so many compliments! The pool stayed right on schedule and we went through the Holidays so that set us back a bit but other than that the timing was spot on! Good luck read more

A great example of an owner taking pride in their work! Jay and his team made our entire backyard the talk of the town. The pool and spa are incredible but so is the landscaping and we owe all that to his creativity. Our initial idea would not have held a candle to what we actually ended up with. Very professional and friendly from first call to post-build, and our pool beats the heck out of the other pools in our neighborhood. We throw the parties now!!! Very pleased we found this company and will definitely use them again if we ever move. Oh and everything was on time and on budget, which really made us happy. Recommend! read more

I cannot say enough in this review to express my gratefulness towards Jay and his wonderful team. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking a reliable, honest, hardworking service that puts customer care at the top of the list. We recently had our pool pump break on a Wednesday, which was very difficult as we had planned on family coming in town that weekend from Chicago who were excited (to say the least) to swim in our pool. I called Jay and he came out the very next morning. I was stressed to hear the cost to fix it due to it being a fairly new system. Because Jay has relationships with many different reps from various pool companies, he made a call and got clearance to fix my pump FREE of charge under warranty. Despite his busy schedule, he came over Friday morning and fixed everything just in time for my guests to arrive. Not only that, he had the pool services as well to make sure the pool was at its best. I cannot thank you enough Jay! We use him for weekly cleanings and service. He takes the time to teach us about pool care and how to make the best of it. I could not say more- You are the best! read more

I have dreamed of having a backyard pool for years, but never could find the right person to help make my dream a reality. That is until I met Jay, the owner of Jay's Pool and Spa. He helped design the perfect backyard pool, spa, fire pit, and landscaping. Everyone who sees my backyard is amazed at the design and how beautiful it looks. His team was so nice to work with and really helped me understand each step of the process. The best part of the whole project was the price was right. Jay made my dream come true. We use are pool all the time my kids always love having friends over! Best investment I have ever made!! Thanks Jay!! read more

We were looking forward to Jay coming to look at our firepit that stopped working and give us an evaluation. He did pick up right away when I called the first time and said he could come out the next day and gave us a time. The next day came and when he wasn't there about 10 minutes after our appointment time (no biggie) I called to check in. He said he was about 15 minutes away. After an hour and a half later he still hadn't shown up and when I called him again it went to voicemail. Very disappointed as I could have scheduled someone else to come out to the address the issue, we have guest coming for the holiday weekend and wanted the firepit working and we have a very outdated pool and spa that will need some updating in the near future and if we had a good experience with Jay it could have been more business for him. I would rather be told he couldn't make the appointment or the repair wasn't in his list of priorities and moved on to another vendor than told he would show and then didn't. Again, very disappointed and frusturated. read more
