We have pool waterfall that over 12 years needed repairs and painting. I called several pool companies where a few never showed up or wanted to tear it out or wanted to charge several thousands to repair it. Jay came buy and knew right away needed to be done and quoted a very fair price on the spot. I was going to be our of town for a couple of weeks and Jay was able to work with me. His team showed up early, worked all day and got the job done in just 2 days. I REALLY wish I had taken before pictures so you could see what a great job they did. I started paying for these guys to come in to clean my pool when all of the sudden they stopped coming to my house. I payed all that money for NOTHING. To be honest, I'm rather glad that they didn't show up because the job they did was horrible. They didn't even clean the filter when I asked them too and then they continue to do the worst job on the bottom of the pool. Jays Pool was recommended by a neighbor but not sure why. He showed up once, told me what probably failed in my equipment and would order the part and would be back the next day. Next day came and went so I contacted him and he said tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went and nothing. So I sent a text asking if he can fix it or should I just find someone else and got no reply. Never heard from this company again. I think my job was too small but little did he know I had about 4 things that needed done (from heater, to valves, to filters) He did say I could upgrade to the wifi enabled pool equipment for $1500 but I ended up going this route myself for $700. Got that working and now onto other little things wrong with the pool and everything is going smoothly and nothing too complicated. I recommend anyone with a pool issue to do some research and possibly fixing it yourself. None of it is really that complicated. I saved literally thousands with the things I've fixed. On another note, I did contact 2 other pool companies in Temecula and none of them contacted me back. Businesses must be doing well for them to turn down money! read more

I first called this service to help start my pump after filling our pool for the first time. Great service and found out that I could get my pool serviced for $155/ month for chemical check, add chemicals and sweeping. Great!! Our pool guy was Brandon. When he came, I watched him on my camera check the pool and add chemicals but I never saw him sweep. So, in the morning of the next scheduled day, I checked the pool and saw a few worms on my baja reef, and one stuck in the shallow end. When I came home, I noticed the same worms that I had to remove by sweeping my pool. I called the company to confirm what I was paying for. Sure enough, chemical check, chemicals and sweeping. When I told Jay that Brandon is not sweeping my pool, the response was, "we're trying to get your acid levels down. Who did the startup on your pool?" I told him, "you did!" So, the fact that he wasn't sweeping wasn't addressed. However, the next week Brandon was sweeping. My bill (for 2 months) DID go up one hundred dollars because they were adding extra bags of salt. But wait, aren't I paying for chemicals? Even if I'm too pay for extra bags of salt, $100 worth? No. I did discontinue service. There was no concerning questions so I felt there was no care or concern. Just cared about making money. One more thing: I took my water to have tested... salt was way above what it should be! Had to drain a portion of my pool to dilute! Make sure you pay attention to how your pool is being treated!! read more

The man came into our backyard asked us a couple questions I asked if he was going to measure for the size of the pool he said no that he had it all in his head. I have NEVER written a bad review but everyone needs to know about this service. From what I can tell the only thing Jay does right is hire. His daughter and his staff are GREAT! Jay however is one of if not the worst business owners I've ever witnessed. He took a $1,000 deposit to plaster my pool and went dark. He has told me he's sending it back but 30 days later still nothing. I have filed a claim in small claims court as I don't know another option. Terrible company not only did they half ass their jobs they left a huge mess in my parents back yard. The last two weeks we have had a gas leak after they replaced the heater and still havent fixed it. My parents are constantly getting told it will get done tomorrow over and over but then they don't show up. The pool looked way better before they touched it. This ass gave me a toilet bowl to swim in. None of our tile was replaced on our steps and the blue stain was left out, "a white toilet bowl". Run as fast as you can!!!, Jay will not do the rite thing and his daughter is no better. They have nothing but excuses and well long story short get in writing that it was supposed to look the same as it did but fresh and new. They did not come close at all !!!!! I called for a bid and the guy eric vilalpando who is with this company started telling me I was trying to get my pool done for free and I finally told him he was the highest and I mean THE HIGHEST bid of all by over 10,000 then started being rude and asked me what I wanted to pay him what was I looking to pay and I just told him I was getting bids and he again started yelling at me telling me I wanted it for free so I told him I was ending the conversation and he said EXACTLY JUST WHAT I THOUGHT! Just had the pool replastered on my rental property. Jay did a great job. ALWAYS answered his phone which is unheard of nowadays. Did the job quickly and showed up when he said he would. His workers did great work. There was an error with color, but Jay took complete responsibility and took care of it immediately. Prices were fair and reasonable. It took me over a year to find a vendor who would give a written estimate and/or even show up let alone answer their phone. I am out of state and had to handle everything by phone. Jay was honest and sent pictures to me during the process. I was able to come see the pool recently and was very pleased with the quality. I would highly recommend Jays pools. read more

The pool and spa are incredible but so is the landscaping and we owe all that to his creativity. Our initial idea would not have held a candle to what we actually ended up with. We had Jay's Pool and Spa do our Pool and Spa and we love it! It is so beautiful and so pretty to look out our window at all times! We had them build us a reef for the kids and they get so much use out of it! We were wavering on our spa whether we wanted one or not and best decision ever! I cannot say enough in this review to express my gratefulness towards Jay and his wonderful team. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking a reliable, honest, hardworking service that puts customer care at the top of the list. We recently had our pool pump break on a Wednesday, which was very difficult as we had planned on family coming in town that weekend from Chicago who were excited (to say the least) to swim in our pool. I called Jay and he came out the very next morning. I was stressed to hear the cost to fix it due to it being a fairly new system. Because Jay has relationships with many different reps from various pool companies, he made a call and got clearance to fix my pump FREE of charge under warranty. Despite his busy schedule, he came over Friday morning and fixed everything just in time for my guests to arrive. We were looking forward to Jay coming to look at our firepit that stopped working and give us an evaluation. He did pick up right away when I called the first time and said he could come out the next day and gave us a time. The next day came and when he wasn't there about 10 minutes after our appointment time (no biggie) I called to check in. He said he was about 15 minutes away. After an hour and a half later he still hadn't shown up and when I called him again it went to voicemail. Very disappointed as I could have scheduled someone else to come out to the address the issue, we have guest coming for the holiday weekend and wanted the firepit working and we have a very outdated pool and spa that will need some updating in the near future and if we had a good experience with Jay it could have been more business for him. I would rather be told he couldn't make the appointment or the repair wasn't in his list of priorities and moved on to another vendor than told he would show and then didn't.
