I was in town on leisure and decided to eat dinner at Buzz Inn on Evergreen. I've stopped at other Buzz Inns while riding my motorcycle with a few friends, so I've been to Buzz Inns before but this was my first time at this location. The inside was no surprise, typical decor as the other Buzz Inns. The wait staff was friendly and courteous. The food I was disappointed in though. I ordered the Taco Salad with crumbled hamburger. The salad was prepared nicely and had decent amount of all the ingredients. The thing that disappointed me was that the hamburger crumbles were overcooked. There was a slight burnt taste and the meat was dried out. My guess would be the cook was distracted and left the meat cooking too long. I also didn't understand why the taco salad came with a slice of garlic Texas toast, but I'm a sucker for bread, especially when it's toasted, so I'm not complaining! This Buzz Inn has been a solid place for us to visit for many years. There are quite a bit of regulars so finding seating in the bar can be hit or miss as you get towards later on the weekends. The ambiance is moody and divey in the bar, and then more of a lodge like ambiance in the restaurant area. Restaurant is order and pay at counter and bar is full service. Food in both areas is always up to our par! Staff are fun and entertaining as they work and engage with the customers! When food is ordered it comes within a good amount of time and if there are any errors they get then fixed no question. They have been extremely accommodating to our alteration requests throughout the years with my dairy allergy and that is a big part of why I come back! Second is the prices. Great Happy Hour $3.75 well drinks and make it a double for $3 more. BOGO Tuesday Burger Specials. Cheapest Burger is $11.95. Highly suggest the Tsunami Skillet!! My family and friends have gone here for years. Thru Many servers no longer there. My review is on the service. The food was amazing as always. They had a large group that filled the back section they had two servers handling it. The small section left was thru to first TV. I noticed an older gentleman and his wife sat down at a dirty booth. They sat there forever with no one checking on them. I let our server know what happened she said ok. At this point she would have been their server. She continued not to acknowledge them and walked past them many times. The wife finally got up and told the other lady server with big crowd. She said after talking to our waitress that no one noticed them. I said excuse me but I did tell the waitress long ago. Even after that it was awhile longer she brought menus very unfriendly to them. After she never came back for the order, they got up and left. I said I was so sorry I had tried. Older people probably keep this place going. The huge crowd was all older folks. As the folks walked away the man said to me, being one customer my order won't keep this place going. I wouldn't have said anything but in all my years going here, my kids were little, now they are all in twenties and have careers. There was another couple who came in moved the dishes there, when she picked up menu from the people who left, she could have gone over and handed it to them. It felt like because they didn't follow the rules they were being punished. The older folks who sat down, looked like if standing to long that wouldn't have worked for them. What I witnessed this night was so cruel to older folks. They keep your place open. Being busy does not equal to not treating older people with respect. Your busy doesn't give permission to miss treat anyone. You do your best and treat folks with dignity. It is management's decision to know if they would have enough help for the larger group. I thought they were kicking it. I want you to know that for my table she was very engaged and took great care of my table. He is a very rude individual and looks down on people. He let his restaurants go down the drain to buy allowing shoot food to be sold by under qualified workers and chefs. I think a 3 is a solid rating for this place. I'd sum it up as "meh, it's alright if you don't have another place in mind." Let me clarify that the service was really nice. Our server was really sweet and attentive, and she made it a much better experience. The food was hit or miss. I loved my steak and salad and baked potato (super good!!), but the other person I was with was a little disappointed in the steak not having much seasoning. I will say there was basically none, but I personally like letting the meat be the star, and it was a star. It was cooked really well, and the center cut top sirloin was super tender. What I found lacking was the atmosphere. The blackout windows inside along the booths was really strange and unsettling. Not sure what the reasoning was for those. In general it was outdated, and not in a fun sort of vintage way. It was just old and stale. Overall I'd recommend it. Maybe you'll like the food, I hope you'd like the service. Perhaps you like the sort of grungy, grimy experience. I have to urge that I'm not denigrating the vibes! Some love that, it just wasn't for us. Not sure of some of the bad reviews, tried it anyways. I get that some may have had lackluster experiences, however I've been around four times now and every visit has been superb as far as food quality and ambience (cleanliness). The ordering at the counter before I'm sat to eat sucks though. For one, I'm not tipping before food and service and I hardly carry cash for afterwords. Today was a first for me. We went to Buzz Inn at 9910 Evergreen Way in Everett, WA because we had heard about their "1/2 half off burgers" for Sunday. We entered the side entrance and were greeted by our bartender/ server "Jamie". As it turns out, that special is no longer a thing but hey, we were there and decided to stay. We quickly order a burger and french dip. There was a gentleman at the bar who clearly had WAY too much to drink. In the middle of one of his coughs he ended up puking all over the bar stool and carpet(wish I was kidding). We quickly changed tables as we were in pretty close proximity. After expressing how disgusted we were, an almost worse offense happened...wait for it-someone from the staff cleaned up his vomit while he was served another beer. We just watched from a far in horror. The bartender apologized repeatedly but the damage was done. After receiving our food, my girlfriend was not able eat but a little bit and took hers to go. I managed to forget about the incident and was able to eat my burger. My burger was merely subpar. We were later told by daily regulars, that this gentleman is in there every day with the same cough and vomiting habits, but due to his regular pull tab spending, they choose not to cut him off. Sounds like there is some serious mismanagement going on here. We called into the restaurant after we left to talk to a manager and were shuffled around. The bartender that was server to the vomiting patron claimed to be the manager and wanted to know why we were calling. Upper management here is the reason people like the vomiter aren't kicked out, especially if they have money to spend daily on pull tabs. This place is unbelievable. Granted it is only $0.50 but we ordered 6 items. That's $3.00 additional cost. So I can eat SAFELY at my own home. This is a friggin' ' crock of you-know-what. Just beware. Back to Doordash I guess. Oh. And don't try their online ordering through ChowNow.com. THAT website tried to make me purchase salad dressing for a salad I wasn't purchasing. Too bad. Server was friendly and attentive but that's where the positive ends. I ordered the pot roast, with a baked potato and a salad for sides. The pot roast came as a 4" x 3" pice of meat. It tasted like what I'd imagine dog food tastes like. I asked for gravy on the side and there was enough to cover 5 slabs of this meat but not enough to make the food taste any better. The "salad" was some wilted iceberg lettuce, 4 croutons and a clump of shredded cheese piled in one spot. Obviously the baked potato hadn't touched the cook's hands because it tasted good. We came in for a bite while waiting for our car to finish being detailed. We have had great experiences in the lounge...however, today we had our daughter and so I sat on the diner side. The food was tasty! We ordered the shrimp basket. The tarter sauce was delicious! My daughter especially loved the lemon...lol However, the service was sub par. The high chair the server provided us was covered with mystery sticky spots and literally had dried food from previous use. Yuck! I had to ask for another high chair. I was unimpressed with the whole experience. Not to mention there was a woman who was clearly under the influence of drugs nodded out at a table sitting next to a family of 5 enjoying a lunch out together. I understand she is a paying patron. Our main course arrived 10 minutes before our appetizer did. My wife ordered medium rare steak but it arrived medium well. She asked for dressing to go with her salad and it took five minutes to arrive. There was an item on my bill that I never even received because the waitress forgot to bring it to me. I pointed this out to her and it was given to me in a carry out box. The customer service here is abysmal. Waitress kept complaining they were short staffed but when I looked around the place wasn't all that busy. The waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu. The real problem wasn't that they were short staffed, it was that the staff they had weren't very good. I would definitely NOT recommend this place. read more

Our waitress, Chantay (I think that was her name), was very nice and got our drink order quickly. I ordered the French Choice which was delicious! The French toast was nicely cooked and a vanilla flavor. Hash browns were crunchy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside. My boyfriend had the Eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce strangely tasted like chicken gravy. He said it was ok. My sister had the 6oz steak and fries and she said it was very good. This is hands down my favorite place in Everett for dinner or breakfast when we cannot for the life of us decide what we want to eat. It's an easy solution as they have great hours, serve breakfast all day, and do everything from sandwiches to steak and seafood. There isn't too much on the menu, but everything offered is food Buzz Inn can do well. The quality of the food is very good for the cost. And even better depending on if you watch for the specials which vary depending on the day of the week. You won't find 30-60 air dried aged beef, but you can get a sirloin or New York strip exactly how you'd like it for less than a lot of takeout options in town. Add shrimp that are wrapped in bacon or eggs to a decent steak and you just can't go wrong. The pancakes and french toast are thick and fluffy and the coffee is pretty great too. Recently I've been trying their burgers and I haven't tried anything I didn't like yet. The dessert is surprisingly good if you still have room and you can get a decent cocktail or a beer with your meal if you'd like. Depending on when you visit you either order at the counter or are seated by a waitress. But even when you order at the counter, the waitstaff is attentive and I've always received excellent service. Lately we've been requesting substitutions more as we've gone keto, and the waitresses are always super helpful and happy to accommodate us. This location was renovated a few years ago and looks pretty good for a diner. There is still a bar, in addition to the adjacent bar, and multiple screens that usually show a variety of games or the news. If you're in the mood for something casual and cheap, but nicer than a greasy spoon, this is a really good option. read more
