I went to another local ice cream shop in Castle Rock and their ice cream is made by Meadow Gold. Not Butterfield's. And it's the same price! They also have home made cookies which we haven tried yet and other selections of candy. read more

Very tasty ice cream- some of the best I've had. Only compliant would be that the serving sizes can vary quite a bit. You can get a large that is full and the next time it will be light and about 3/4 full. 5 stars for the ice cream and 3 stars for shorting the servings sometimes= 4 stars. read more

At the risk of sounding snobby I might call myself an ice cream connoisseur. After trying several flavors (they have an average variety) I felt like ice cream here was also average. It tastes good, definitely not great. I sampled several flavors and thought they all could improve. It might depend on what you like as to how much you like their ice cream though - I don't like chocolate and as such did not try any of the chocolatey flavors. The service was normal, there wasn't a lot of space to sit so don't go during busy hours. Overall not a bad experience, just not a memorable one. read more

The ice cream is always good and the service in the past has been great! I understand a lot of people are under more stress with Covid, however when I went tonight with my family 3 of the 4 teenagers working there were not very friendly and did not greet us. My 8 year old son just wanted to see the ice cream selections and we did not see the small labels on the chairs stating to stay back from the ice cream case. One the teenage boys was very rude and said "Could you get your kid back from the case." And it was not asked nicely, it was rudely stated. I naturally apologized and said "sorry, I didn't see your small sign." My son felt like he did something wrong just by wanting to see the ice cream. The only one in there who was friendly and greeted us afterwards was a nice tall, blonde haired young man! He's the only reason we got our ice cream there. I know times are different now but have a little grace especially with younger children going through this too. read more

Great little local ice cream shop. Took my wife and kids here for the first time last night and everyone enjoyed it. We tried four different flavors, and the consensus favorite was the Caramel Oreo ice cream. The seating is limited to only a few tables, but no other customers were there when we arrived. Ice cream is good, but they are NEVER open the hours they post on the website. 10mins early, or an hour early, you never know. It sucks yo drive there with kids when they say they are open only to arrive 30mins before closing time to a bunch of teenagers inside saying "we're closed". We were welcomed into the store not realizing they had closed at 9 and it was 9 when we walked in. We had been welcomed and asked what we wanted but had not decided yet. When the other family walked in and said they had called ahead we were then told we couldn't be served because we had not called ahead. If you have already welcomed us in and started serving us I believe the service we received was wrong. One of the employees served us and we were able to get our ice cream. Wow what a find in town of Parker. When my kids told me about this place, I was hesitant at first, thinking its probably another typical ice cream shop that serves ice cream no different than the tubs you can buy in the freezer section of your local grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised to find this shop to serve very well made ice cream which did not taste like it had a lot of artificial ingredients. We throughly enjoyed black cherry, strawberry, chocolate, lemon flavors. The portions are generous and service was great. Two young guys working that day were prompt and friendly and assisted customers with a lot of patience as everyone wanted to sample different flavors. You have to go here, everything is homemade and you can tell. This is going to sound boring but please try the vanilla as they use real vanilla beans and it is the most perfect ice-cream ever. It is not too sweet, it is like you stepped back in time. Also try the waffle cone as they make them right there too. I'm not really into ice cream. When I go to ice cream parlors, I usually get rainbow sherbet. They didn't have any sherbet. I got a "single scoop" of cherry vanilla and salted caramel. It was good. But more than that, it was huge. The single was way more ice cream than I needed. Be advised haha. read more

I was so excited to hear that this was a family owned ice cream place! :) So precious! As soon as you walk in, the employees greet you and ask if you would like to try any samples. All the flavors look delicious.. and so very hard to choose from. I tried the Butterfield's baked goods ice cream? I think that's what it was called lol. But the cookie dough looked SO GOOD. there was so much visible cookie dough.. it seemed to take up half of the ice cream! But I did want to try something unique.. and the Butterfields' baked goods flavor was definitely different. It had some brownie pieces and cookie pieces and perhaps fudge pieces? Who knows... but it was delicious :) I also sampled the caramel oreo.. and that was delicious as well :) Can't wait to come back to try more flavors! read more

Ice cream is delicious! It's a definitely a must try. The employees that work here are awesome and provide great service. My only complaint is when paying at the register, it asks for tips and then another tip box asking for tips, only to find out that the employees don't really get these tips? When I tip, I assume it goes directly to the employees providing the service. Just felt like you are just paying extra for the ice cream. read more

Holly deliciousness! I've seen a couple people tag this place in their posts, so I've been wanting to try this for some time... I got the regular Nutella Brownie ice cream and the only thing I can say is no other place can even compare . The other thing I'd like to say that was really impressive was the customer service, the two teenage boys that were working yesterday were kind, friendly and most importantly patient with my family, but mostly my two Indecisive children. I wish I have gotten their names but they were SO awesome with my kids and didn't seem frustrated the least hen they kept asking to try another sample. Great ice cream! I come from midwest dairy country and know what good ice cream is...............and no, Blue Bell is not good ice cream. This place is a Parker gem and we are lucky to have this fine ice cream so close to home. The shop is spotless, you could literally eat off the floor. The staff is very friendly, always willing to help, and the servings are generous. They also make malts, and they use REAL MALT POWDER! Can you imagine that. I do wish that they had more traditional ice cream flavors like Cherry nut, butter brickle, black raspberry, maple walnut, sweet cream etc, etc. Still, you can't go wrong here, this place is good. read more
