I've read the poor reviews- I can't relate, as I had a great experience. I got to hand pick the car I wanted nationwide, and payed well below market price. I can only assume that those complaining could not finance a car conventionally (IE: Bank or Financial Institution), and financed it directly through the dealership instead as it was their only option. If it was my dealership and I was floating the cash to high risk borrowers, I'd treat it as such and protect my business. High risk=strict terms. These reviewers got a 1 star review from the bank, so they pass it on to the place that actually put them in a car. Pretty ridiculous. Wed., July 10th - My husband purchased a vehicle.  Thurs., July 11th - The check engine light came on and the tire sensor light. We returned the vehicle. The salesman took the vehicle next door. The mechanic "reset" the check engine light. He told me to drive it and if the light returned, bring it back. Fri., July 12th - The check engine light came back on.  Sat., July 13th - We returned to Butler Direct. The salesman informed me that the mechanic was not on duty. He asked me to return Wed., July 17th to discuss the vehicle options. Tues., July 16th - I dropped off the vehicle to the dealership because the ride became unstable and felt unsafe. Wed., July 17th - We returned to Butler Direct to discuss the vehicle. When I returned, I saw the vehicle displayed on the sales lot. When I inquired, the salesman got the finance person. The finance person told me that when I dropped off the vehicle the day prior, I "surrendered" it. However, I did not sign any paperwork indicating a "surrender". I asked about the repairs. They indicated they had done no repairs. I asked how could they misrepresent this vehicle and set up the next customer to believe they were getting a sound vehicle. Do not buy from these people if you plan on moving out of state or even think you possibly could. They have to "approve" you first. Secondly, the vehicle we bought ended up having a 100,000 more than what was on the odometer. We found this out after the fact when we tried to trade it in for another vehicle. So please whatever you do get a carfax report if they won't provide you with one, then its well worth the $40. bucks to get one. read more

I financed a vehicle from Butler Direct to which I've had a few issues. On October 16, 2015, our 2000 GMC Yukon XL was repossessed for lack of insurance. At that point in time, we did have insurance, but the office manager, Ellizette told us that we did not have insurance. An initial phone call was made, and Ellie answered the phone and we told her the vehicle had insurance, she stated it did not then proceeded to call us liars. We then called All State to make sure we were insured to which they assured us that we were and also told Direct Auto & Ellie that we also were, indeed, insured. These phone calls went back & forth nearly all day until the issue was resolved. Direct Auto agreed to bring the vehicle back to our home the very next day. Direct Auto blamed the error on All State & no apologizes were ever given regarding their egregious actions. Moving ahead to November 23, 2015, we we get a knock at the door @11:00 pm, which is a Monday. we look through peephole & we see it is Ellie at the door. We open the door & right off the bat, she starts spouting off about how we are 2 payments behind on the vehicle & if we don't give her the keys, she'll be forced to call the police & file a police report stating that the vehicle is stolen & we could face criminal charges if we didn't hand over the keys now. I then told her that we weren't 2 payments behind & that I could prove it with the receipts that I have. There was some brief shouting, mostly done by her as she kept demanding the keys to the vehicle. Finally, I relented & handed her the keys mainly because it was late at night & didn't want my neighbors to know my business.(As we came to later find out that she was in breach of peace under the repossession law). For cause & effect, we have receipts & witnesses to validate our complaint. My husband and I had a hard time finding the car we wanted, a Subaru, at a price we could afford with in-house financing, because we are rebuilding our credit. We walked in to Butler Direct not really knowing how they could help us, just looking, really. Brad greeting us in the parking lot and after a brief explanation of the any car any time deal, we decided to let him find us our car. He took the time to talk with us, to get our "wants" and "dont wants" in a car, and we trusted him with a down payment in cash. Now, we did say we weren't in a hurry, usually the process takes about two weeks, and in our case, it took a little longer, about four. Yes it was a little frustrating on that part, but Brad stayed in communication and let us know why there were delays. When he did call us to let us know he had a car for us, it actually was exactly what we had been looking for. The car met our specifications perfectly. We have the car that we wanted, although the process was different from a traditional dealership and financing, everything worked out. I purchased a car from The Auto Butler in Humble, TX dealership. I wasn't satisfied with the car because it had a lot of problems. I bought it on a Friday July 19, 2013 at 7:00pm and turned around and took it back at 1:00 pm on Saturday July 20, 2013. He refused to give me my money back and said that refunds didn't apply to car sales. On Sunday July 22, 2013 of that weekend I was stuck on the side of the road and had to get help. The next day on Monday July 23,2013 I drove the car to work. On my way there I turned on the air conditioner and the car quit in the middle of traffic at stop light. I went to work the next day July 24, 2013 in the car and when I got off the car wouldn't start. I was stranded at work for two hours. I tried calling and leaving a message for this man and he wouldn't return my call. The car has been stalled at my house until yesterday August 05, 2013, when I went and purchased a battery for it. He called today August 06,2013 and asked for payment on the vehicle and I told him when he was ready to fix what was wrong with the car I would gladly pay. When we got off the phone he came and took the car out of the parking lot of my job. This is not the type of business that single mothers, as myself, should be exposed to.
