I stopped into Gourmet Market in Boca Raton to pick up a gift... and couldn't help but stay and…read moretreat myself, too. I'm so glad I did. I ordered the cappuccino and the spinach goat cheese quiche, and both were absolutely outstanding. I've spent a lot of time in France, and I can honestly say the flavors transported me right back. The cappuccino tasted like mornings in Paris, perfectly balanced, smooth, and comforting. The quiche was rich and beautifully baked, with that authentic, homemade French flavor you just can't fake. Even the salad and its dressing were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Chef's kiss. The gift they put together for me was arranged so beautifully and with such care , it felt special and elevated. You can tell there's real pride and heart behind this place. A big merci to the owners for creating such a charming, authentic experience right here in Boca. I'll absolutely be back.

It is a small grocery store that also serves food. We had lunch there.. and really enjoyed it. I had quiche and salad, which were both very delicious. Found so many good things other than the butters. Bought some Herbs of Provence to make my quiche with. I added a little to my quiche mixture before baking and it was so good! Also bought some mustard, with seeds, to put in a salad, with fresh lemon juice and evoo. Aioli garlic mayonnaise, a nice addition in my sandwiches. Love the olive tapenade very much, it's the best black olive tapenade I have tasted in a jar. Noticed some very tiny pieces of maybe pits in it. Got a cake in a box, which is in a sealed can. A cake that doesn't need to be eaten right away. Almond & Orange, it was o.k. The great thing was, found many items without having to go to France!!! That's the best part of it all! Am actually surprised to find such a nice store in south Florida, it is special, and with many items I love. Will return for more. They have a GREAT selection of frozen items. Some mini hors d'oeuvres, which I like. If you don't know what they are...ask. I noticed a tray in the freezer, with mini hors d'oeuvres, was told they can make them up ahead of time, if ordered. I presume you have a choice of what you want, but the one I saw looked out of this world. They have onion boules, (mini bowls of like onion soup in them), which I have had in the past from another place. What I liked is, that they have a smaller quantity. The owners were exceptionally pleasant and helpful regarding all of my questions. Will definitely be going back!

I Finally got a chance to review one of our favorite spots to do a wine tasting…read more We first came months ago at a suggestion from some friends to go with them. It was a great tasting of a vineyard in California. A month or so later we went to another tasting that also was quite good. Then, last week we went to another with friends. This time we noticed on the email they explained how to park for free(we never knew this, always grabbed street parking). So the hook up in the parking ramp was nice. We walked into the Gourmetphile to a group of happy people ready to try some wines. We grabbed our seats by our friends and got ready. The spokesman for the company had some words, explaining the Gil family vineyard and its different wines. It's located in Spain and is between a couple of the more famous wine valleys there. Then we were off to the wines. They were quite good. What was debatably even better were the dishes that the owner provide for each wine. Different meats, cheeses and jams. Every dish was designed for that specific wine to match with. It's a few dollars for a tasting here, but when you know it almost good wines, and excellent food, it's worth it. We left with a bottles of wine so obviously these were good. And we look forward to the next one.

Wow! These people sure know how to host a wine tasting. We…read morecame here recently for a tasting, and loved how organized they were. First of all, the amount of people is limited, making it an almost one on one experience with the person introducing the wines. Allowing us to listen clearly to their information and stories about the wines and wineries and easy to ask questions too. Not only do they know their wines, but they know very well what to pair with them. This was not a random charcuterie plate on the side, they paired each wine with a specific bite/ dish and explained why exactly they chose that an how it would compliment the wine. And, honestly, it all worked harmoniously. At the end of the tasting we were able to buy bottles, and also look at their shop front which has so many delicious cheeses, meats and more, plus, of course, wine to bring home and recreate these tastings experiences at home with your friends, family, or date. Highly recommend coming here, and you will definitely see us checking in again.

Carnivore Foodie Nirvana!…read more I'm amazed that I missed writing about Palm Beach Meats! A Bib Gourmand Michelin restaurant, several dishes have been given Michelin designation. Honestly? They're all pretty damn good! This go-round, I tried the pastrami sliders which are off the chain! See the photo. They do a lot of Wagyu here. Honestly? I generally don't like places that do a lot of Wagyu. They tend to lean into the fat too much and don't balance their acids in contrast in their dishes. This place is like a perfect teeter totter sitting in the dead middle. The dishes are well thought through. They don't leave you feeling like you ate 10 tons of food. The cases are full of meats that you can take home and cook as well as cheeses that are exotic and interesting wines and beer and exotic sodas. All kinds of special condiments and foodstuffs. Service is excellent! Order at the counter, but they give you great attention! It's a small place. Desserts are so good that it's scary! Japanese Cream Sandos are a unique one! The dining room is clean comfortable, not pretentious. They're playing 80s Ramones tunes and "Cherry Bomb," and other tunes that just make you smile.

It came served in a bowl with white fried rice topped with scallions, pickled onions and carrots, Wagyu beef, and an egg. Every bite was flavorful and well-balanced. We also ordered the PBM Wagyu Burger cooked medium well, and at $19.99, it was absolutely spectacular. It was topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and ketchup, and it did not disappoint. We paired our meal with a couple of their specialty soft drinks from Boylan Bottling Company, including the cane cola, which was a great touch. The ambience is intimate and inviting. I really loved the setup. They have a meat cooler on display featuring the meats they use and sell, bottles of wine on the shelves, and a refrigerator stocked with specialty drinks. It is not just a restaurant experience, but also a meat market where you can purchase Wagyu and other specialty meats. The whole place has a charming, little Italian-style decor that makes it feel unique and welcoming. Rosemary took our order, made excellent recommendations, and also came by to clear our table. Her service added a lot to the experience and made us feel well taken care of. This is definitely a do-over for us. I loved the logo, I loved the setting, and most of all, I loved the food. Palm Beach Meats is a place I would gladly return to. 5Stars J.Carrero

The manager, Kristen, was beyond accomodating from start to finish including moving up my reservation time from 6:15pm to 5:00pm. When we arrived, we were guided to our table where there were a dozen red roses and a happy birthday balloon already waiting for us! It's such a nice & loving touch to add these celebratory items. We sat in a booth that had curtains to cover our table with, which provided some privacy and a bit of warmth on this cold evening! Zoe was our server and unfortunately, tonight was her last day. She was absolutely phenomenal. So kind, accommodating, answered all of our questions about everything and went above and beyond to make sure my mom was pleased on her special day. For dinner, we ordered the 4 course dinner for 2! We chose a fondue for the beginning which came with bread, broccoli/cauliflower, carrots, apples and grapes. We chose the Quattro Formaggio, which was AMAZING! They place the pot on the middle portion of the table and Zoe actually made the cheese mixture for us. It's so fun to dip everything in! Mom and I both ordered a Caesar salad and it tasted extremely fresh. The Caesar at the melting pot was unique because the dressing was made in house, and there was also the addition of pine nuts, which aren't commonly placed in a Caesar salad. However, it tasted incredible and I liked how different it was! For the main course we did the Coq au vin cooking style which consisted of a blend of wine, mushroom and garlic. We ordered a bunch of entree items (3 for each person): teriyaki steak, duck breast, filet mignon, chicken potstickers, herb crusted chicken and wild mushroom raviolis. Each item was brought UNCOOKED with a ton of different sauces and we were to place them in the Coq au vin boiling pot in order to cook and enjoy. The QR code on the table is key. Scan it and it'll be your little timer/indicator to know when each piece of meat is done and ready to eat. There were also potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower brought along with the meats. For dessert, we got the flaming turtle but with dark chocolate since that is our favorite kind of chocolate. They brought out little pieces of cakes, brownies, marshmallows, strawberries, and bananas to dip into the chocolate. The dessert is definitely my favorite part. The dark chocolate was insanely good. If you're a dark chocolate lover, I would definitely choose the flaming turtle. It was adorable how the restaurant took a photo of my mom and I and then printed and handed it to us for her birthday. Such an amazing experience. Will definitely be back! 10/10!!!!!!

I also let her know it was everyone at the table's first time here (aside from me), and she only acknowledged it but then didn't bother to explain how everything works. It has been a couple years since I'd been to a melting pot, so I didn't remember everything, but I had to be the one to explain how each course works to the table. The food, of course, was amazing though. We tried the Wisconsin Cheddar, Classic Alpine, and Quattro Formaggio. Half the table preferred the cheddar, and the other half liked the alpine more. My favs are the alpine and quattro. Everything else after was delicious. I love the melting pot, but this location seemed a little disorganized with the staff. What I thought would be a cool night where I got to introduce the melting pot to my friends ended up with me having to try to explain how everything works (and failing bc it had been so long) instead of the server.

We needed to order food the night before thanksgiving for dinner as we didn't want to cook more…read morethat day. My friend found this place by looking up a decent place to order from that was still open at 9pm and taking orders. This is when we found Alfa Pizzeria. We called and asked if it was too late to order as it was only 1 hour before closing time and we were going to be coming from half an hour away. To our pleasant surprise they said they could take our order and we finished ordering half an hour before they closed. Even knowing we would be there 5 mins before closing, they were very kind and accommodating. We ordered a large margarita pizza, and a large pepperoni pizza, both of which were fresh, had the right amount of cheese to sauce, to meat ratio, and had amazing flavor. We also ordered one chicken Parmesan sub and had a special request for a shrimp Parmesan sub too not on the menu, which they kindly created just for us. The chicken was moist and fresh and the marinara sauce was delicious! There was a generous amount of cheese on both as well. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were fresh as well. My brother and sister who ordered the subs said that the flavor was just perfect. I ordered the penne alla vodka pasta, and believe me when I say this is the best penne alla vodka pasta I've had in a VERY long time. The portion was extremely generous for the price; enough for me to have 3 servings, 2 extra for later days (yes it holds up well for leftovers too). The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce flavor was outstanding! A perfect blend of cream and red sauce with just the right amount of garlic and spices. The garlic knots were even amazing. They were soft, had a generous portion of garlic but not too much, a good amount of Parmesan and herbs as well. We picked up the food so I can't say too much about the ambience other than that the restaurant decor was cool and the restaurant clean. The people were the kindest of all, thanking us continuously, and even giving me a pint of extra sauce when they heard I liked extra sauce on my pasta. TLDR: All in all the food was excellent, the service impeccable, and all in a little pizza shop in a random plaza. I would come back here a million times over; this is my new favorite Italian/pizza place, even half an hour away!
