I got a front flat yesterday on a ride. I was extremely bummed. I really needed to ride my bike…read more(cue Queen). Fairmount Bicycle was the closest bike shop. I called to make sure they were open and could help, and someone answered the phone right away and was very kind and helpful. I walked my bike to the shop, and when I entered, I was greeted warmly and professionally. I disclosed that I really needed to ride my bike, and they understood and told me that they would try to salvage my ride. Thirty minutes later, my bike was ready, and they were once again very kind and helpful with the checkout process. And, they did in fact salvage my ride, for which I am so grateful. During the checkout process, another person with a flat came in. The staff was warm and professional toward this person. I heard someone mention a "community repair." I did not know what that was, but later, I looked up their website and learned more about the community repair fund as well as the ethos and history of the shop. What I read confirmed that these are cool humans doing cool things and supporting their community. I do not live in Fairmount, but because of my experience yesterday, I would definitely consider taking my bike there again. To the humans of Fairmount Bicycle, thank you so much! And, Happy Pride!

I was on my way to an appointment and had to quickly figure out something to get myself where I needed to be. I googled a bike shop and this spot was super close and also still open - score! I walked my bike over and the attendant was super nice and ready to diagnose and fix whatever was going on. I was hoping it wasn't going to take too long and whatever needed to be fixed would be fairly affordable - I was in great luck! Everything took about 20 minutes, so impressed! There's also a full cafe when you walk in, which I didn't partake in, but was definitely tempted to! The cafe worker did offer me some water while I waited though so that was really nice! Def will come back here to check out the cafe, and maybe add on a cupholder to my bike :).

We went along the path displayed in the surrey dashboard. We are glad that we looked at the map because we almost missed the turning point where we had to turn back to stay on the path. We stopped 1/2 way on the way back to just enjoy the view and breeze. We got the single surrey which was just right for two adults. The menu does say that it'll fit two adults and two kids but it's probably more like one middle schooler or two tiny kids. Everyone there was super helpful. Since it was our first time, they went over how to brake and pedal. Once we returned that surrey, they cleaned/disinfected it immediately. I would definitely come back to either try the other rentals like deuce coupe or the single surrey again.
