I use this place at least once a week for package drop off. Over the last year the price has gone up not once but twice. It started at 50¢ and is now suddenly $1 per package. This is ridiculous. It is now absolutely unaffordable to use this service. The owner is taking advantage of the fact that they are the only option within a mile. Would give this place 5 stars - because most of the time their customer service is great and the staff is very helpful. I still recommend this business because they have helped me ship many packages and it is convenient not having to travel far for shipping materials. I'm mostly leaving this review in hopes that the business takes proper action with the feedback they receive from their customers. Again, all of my other experiences with this store has been more than satisfactory. This review is mostly regarding an off putting interaction I had with the man working the counter today. Upon walking in no other customers were in the store and I was clearly carrying a package and asked him a question about how to ship. Instead of walking over to me he continued to eat his bagel and sip his coffee in the corner. I get it, it's early, slow start to the day. So I give it another minute and he still hasn't come over to help me, not even a "how may I help you?". I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe he was waiting for the computer to warm up before he can help me. He then proceeds to walk around different parts of the store touching things in a bored manner- another three silent minutes pass before I realize he wasn't waiting for a computer to boot up to help me. I finally repeat my question and he finally comes over to tell me the information I need would be found in the booklet in front of me. Overall this one off encounter was super bizarre. If a customer is clearly waiting at the counter- it's without question for the employee to come ask how they could help. Bushwick Post shouldn't be reviewed on this one employee. But one bad experience have the potential to derail potential /current customers. read more

This great little store has excellent customer service, and is a perfect antidote to the inefficient post office. Since you can also pick up packages there, you don't have to worry about anyone dashing off with grandma's Xmas present and nary a door slip to track. Go! They are excellent! read more

Another new location gentrifying the neighborhood more. Most of the staff I have met there but the (visually white) woman who works the is the worst. The first time I saw her she sighed as I walked in. This time she was speaking down to someone (a black male) she was training the entire time I was there. Asking him if he understood what she was saying and if he was getting it in a tone that suggested she didn't believe he did or was capable of it. I overheard a customer ask if they knew when shipping to Puerto Rico would be available (this was written after Hurricane Maria). She responded by saying she had no idea and that they are "screwed down there." Considering Bushwick is a historically Puerto Rican neighborhood, this was completely inconsiderate for the struggle and pain they are feeling and the family who cannot get the needed supplies to them. Every other interaction I've had with the staff has been pleasant but she leaves me with such a bad taste in my mouth, I no longer plan on coming here. read more

Problem with Bushwick, entitled non natives moving in. I'm friendly everywhere I go yet more and more these kids don't know service. Rude and dismissive as if I'm totally inconveniencing them by asking a question about the best way to package an item I'm mailing. Sure being just 1 block away is convenient but I can't be bothered with someone who is going to give me attitude when the soul purpose of this persons existence is to take my mail. I took my packages 6 blocks down to the usps on MacDonough St. Every time I have walked in they are courteous and helpful as soon as I step in. If you want to support convenience over service. Sure go to Bushwick Post, but if you're a person who likes leaving from an establishment with a smile on your face because you just had a great customer interaction and got treated like a human than don't bother. These are the people you read articles about that are ruining the city with their entitlement. To the employees and management- when a customer walks in they should be greeted and welcomed. If it happens to be busy. "Hi welcome we will be right with you" or Welcome how can I assist you today" or "good afternoon welcome, do you have any questions?" See how easy that is. Customer service was very subpar and almost condescending toward specific customers.I hope this was an isolated incident and not an ongoing trend at this business. I have never written a review until now... I had to sign up for Yelp just to do so... AWFUL SERVICE/COMPANY I was trying to mail my family their gifts for Christmas... This is the closest place to me that handles package mailing after I finish work. They close at 8pm, I got there at 715pm. The first snow fall of New York, I trucked through the snow for an HOUR and 40 mins. (Walking, waiting for buses, Carrying 2 boxes that LITERALLY weighed more than myself, I wish you could see them) Upon my arrival, the gate was pulled down but i was still able to get in (again at 715pm, they close at 8pm) Jonathan said they are closed. An "incident" occurred. "Oh, reeeeally!?" The incident wasn't my travel to get here? With these bags!? Almost 2 HOURS!? Honestly, NO MATTER THE CASE. THIS IS NEW YORK. THE SHOW MUST GO ON. OPEN UNTIL 8PM!? UNACCEPTABLE. I was told to LEAVE. I had to stand outside in the blizzard, with my bags, no car services were available (the reason I walked there in the first place) buses were backed up, waiting... getting pelted by snow. Today I was in to mail a package and the woman working, I think she said her name was Siyah? Unfortunately had the system go down but she handled everything so well! She remained calm and got on the phone to figure out what happened and was very helpful when she got the system back up and I had questions. I went to bushwick post to inquire about prepaid shipping on a item to be shipped. I was told that l would be able to use their shipping tape after l informed them that l had my own. When l finished taping my boxes and they were scanned. I was charged a dollar for the tape. I was disappointed and misled to believe that there would be no charge for tape. It's not the dollar it's the principal knowing l had my own tape. Shame on them. Petty! read more

I've lived in this area for over a year and was so excited that this opened up just around corner. I went to send off two small packages- 1 made it, the other was returned to me because of the wrong postage amount. I was frustrated but no big deal, I took it back and got a new postage with the "correct" stamp for free due to their mistake. Well, I got the package back for a 2ND TIME! I'm not the type to leave reviews but I'm so annoyed that I just had to. I recently set up a box with them and was happy with the price and location. Super convenient and affordable (why the rating isn't lower). However, when it came time to discuss an issue, I was met with contempt and ridicule. I lead a very busy life and the mailbox was supposed to be one less hassle in my life. I had a very important document sent to my mailbox and it was resent to sender because of an avoidable issue. They called me once and when they couldn't get a hold of me, that was it, no more mail for me. They needed me to update an expired ID so it wasn't as if I didn't pay. When I stopped by 2 weeks ago, no word on this ID issue. But today, when I'm expecting my package the vibe was: well, you should have answered your phone. Maybe I'm in the wrong, but that's why I gave them my email. To notify me if there were any issues. I can't always check my phone. Their attitudes and unwillingness to try an alternative method of contact (that I gave them) put a bad taste in my mouth. But maybe it's just me... read more

Well this is the second disappointment with this place. I went online to check shipping prices for a package after speaking with FedEx and UPS and being told the price would be the same at bushwick post. The package was packed with my own material,l bushwick post insist on over measuring the package rounding off 5 and 1/16th of an inch to 6 inches, petty indeed I guest this is how they charge more to make money. However the package was priced online to be shipped for $10.21 bushwick post tried to charge me over $24. I drove over to the UPS hub on Foster avenue and was charged $10.21. I understand they may charge some additional fees for services but this is absurd their fees was more than what it cost for shipping after all UPS comes to pick up everyday so there is very little for them to do. I urge anyone to use this place when you have a prepaid label only and be careful with their tape my first time they charged me $1 for using it. I never post yelp reviews but felt it my duty to let people know about my experience with Bushwick Post. In short, this place is a rip-off, sure the people are nice enough but the price mark up they have will leave you paying shipping prices double other comparable shipping shops. I usually go to "Sent" here in Bushwick but the day I needed to ship they were closed, so I found Bushwick post. I needed to ship an item to southern Florida and was in a bind as it needed it to arrive in 2 days. It was a Thursday and my item needed to arrive no later than the following Monday. So in short I brought my package in to them as they reassured it would leave the same day via UPS and that would be the best courier for the job. I gave them my package and they told me it would cost $125 to ship my package that weight a mear 9 pounds and was the size of a shoe box. This was shocking ! Being that I had no choice I moved ahead and sent the package. The next day I was feeling un easy about the astronomical cost so I consulted several other comparable shops regarding price (including my shop "sent"). All shops came back with estimates of $75 or less, this was alarming as when I explained what I paid I was told " that does not sound rite". So I contacted Bushwick post, they basically shut me down. So if you want to save money on shipping go elsewhere. You will pay easy double the price at this place. It's a shame that a local store rips people off like this. Go elsewhere, anywhere, heck for the mark up they have you could Uber to another shop and back AND still pay less ! read more
