I might have lucked out but this place is exactly what I expect from Bushs. Warmly greeted in immediately. The food was freshly cooked including the fries. Cleaning was consistent in both the dining area and the employee hygiene. I simply hope this place improved from all the other previous poor reviews. read more

This location has progressively gone down hill over the past three years. When we first moved here it was acceptable but after today we will not be back! I would rather drive to Temple. The "tenders" which use to be meaty have now shrunk to smaller than french fry length. We waited 25 minutes for on the bone chicken to be cooked only to get home and find the crust burnt. It was extremely disappointing especially given that their prices have increased. I am all for supporting local but provide your patrons quality food. read more

Being spoiled by Belton Bushes who actually watches the cars to see who pulls up first opposed to helping the car that pulls up afterwards is why I will just continue to go to Belton. It's a minor inconvenience but nonetheless annoying to sit for 5 to 10 minutes only to have someone come out to help the car that has pulled up afterwards first. I live closer to salado so it makes sense to come here, but there is no organization or consideration of the purpose of waiting in line like every other bushes can manage. read more

Well, I gave it almost a year and tried again. Still horrible customer service. I walked up to the counter, with no line, and ordered from the girl with no personality. I received my drinks after having to repeat my order to a different girl and watched as they discovered that they were out of bone-in chicken and gravy. Of course, just my luck. No one was tracking their inventory and no one cared that I sat for over 10 minutes as the ice completely melted in my drinks. A few elderly gentlemen came in after me, only to discover that the items they were ordering had run out and it would take over 10 minutes for the cook to start making more. It's just all around bad. I love bushs chicken. I'm so happy they done have these in Jacksonville or I would never lose weight. Their chicken tenders and gravy are so delicious. I swear this place is hardly ever open. There are hours posted on the door but those hours appear to be a suggestion- even when there are lights on and employees visible. Horrible service! Sat in line for 12 minutes and no one waited on me! There appeared to be 2 car waitresses. One waited on a car and when through, went inside and never came back out. The other waitress stood outside and talked the entire time to her friend in another car, who never did order anything. Completely ignored me even tho I was right next to her. Every time I go to this Bushs chicken in Salado, they are always out of either chicken or green beens.; that is unless you want legs and wings. Tonight, no chicken breasts and for green beens, 20 min wait but at least they have those thus time. Someone needs to take a look at the stock before you open for business. If you run out of certain items almost the same night every week, you would think there would be stock to prevent that from happening. Poor management skills and lack of foresight by either in house management of regional management. This is an ongoing issue every week, month and year. This is my last visit to this Bushs in Salado. Love most bush's chicken locations, but this is an exception. Our first time to stop at the Salado location. 7:30 on a Friday night and they tell us they are out of legs & out of rolls, don't expect to have any Breast meat without an up charge of .70 per piece. No concessions given due to their lack of product. They did find 1 leg for us, but it must have been from a pigeon (it was tiny). They did not give us a fork with either meal & 1 had green beans with it, guess I use my fingers to eat those. Also no napkins given. This is a location on I35, you should expect travelers & eating with out hands needs napkins. This speaks poor management. We won't stop here again. read more

I go here often for tea and sometimes we do tender Tuesday instead of tacos. Once the young lady forgot a side... I called and the manager was on top of it. It wasn't a big deal, but he action d like it was. Very nice and I appreciate good customer service.
