They have so many different events, including an ASL Guided Brewery Tour (which is quite unique) and a monthly book club. I originally stopped by to drop off books for their used book sale, but I stayed for two beers. Very friendly staff and appear to be highly engaged with their community. There was a nice variety of styles on their beer menu. I tried a pilsner (I believe?) and an Oktoberfest (because it was the season). Both very tasty! For the trivia, I really appreciated the format. 3 rounds, each with 2 categories of questions. There aren't really long drawn out breaks in between questions which keeps things moving. They do take a break between each round, which is perfect so you can grab your next drink. The categories are fun and challenging. Losers get to pick a category for next week which I think is a fun twist as long as the category isn't super niche. But I guess that is the advantage of you are the loser that shows up the next week to play. Overall fantastic experience. Sasquash Pumpkin Lager: Milwaukee (MKE) Brewing Company brewed their first beer in October of 1997…read more Although it's the appropriate time of year, it was not the pumpkin lager I have today. I've become less of a beer guy since my college days, but I couldn't resist the urge to pick this up. Even though I find them to be real hit or miss, I like to try at least one new pumpkin beer each fall. What caught my attention was the interesting looking design on the can of a sasquatch-like creature with a jack-o'-lantern head. It didn't even occur to me until much later that the name of the beer was not Sasquatch, but Sasquash. If you're as slow as me, it's a nice play on words that combines squash (pumpkin) with sasquatch (as in the mythical creature) into the name of this brew. I had a difficult time finding background information on this specific beer, but sources indicate it is made with both pumpkin and pumpkin spice. It is a Viena style lager that comes in at 6% ABV. Personally, I found it to have a light pumpkin flavor and it was a tad too bitter for my preference. The Sasquatch/Bigfoot may have achieved a legendary status, but this pumpkin lager is just okay .
