Busaba exercises a common British deceptive, unethical business practice towards their customers in their content of their menus and their training of their servers; waiters and waitresses. As usual from what I have noticed, many, many, many restaurants in England try to purposely fool the customer by writing or verbally saying that an extra item is "included" or "comes with" a dish. Items such as a salad or chips or whatever. But these are infact side dishes at an extra cost, therefore they are not "included" or "comes with" the dish yet it is written as such on the menu or described as such by their server. And then the extra side dish is added on the bill at the end when you didn't expect it but by that time the restaurant is betting on you not complaining because you are English and most Brits don't complain about inaccuracies on the bill nor if the meal was bad. But people from other countries do not stand for this type of arrogant swindling and so a restaurant gets offended when you confront them on this deceptive practice and tell them that they said "included" or "comes with" ALWAYS means it is a free side dish that comes with the meal. So when I asked them why I was being charged for an extra side dish of pork fried rice that clearly said on their menu that it came with the meal they thought I was the one whom was crazy. Well I'm not your typical foolish British push-over which always gets taken advantage of from these typical London restaurants. The décor is nice but it's set up like a cafeteria with park benches on the inside, (the place has no terrace) and the portions are too small for the price they are charging. Thus after forcing them to take it off the bill and leaving with a sour experience, I do not recommend this place to anyone. With such a huge number of places to eat in this city of 10 million people, a restaurant gets ONLY 1 chance to impress a patron and deserves a repeat visit and a good review. In my meat eating days I would order a duck mussaman curry, sticky rice and fried calamari. The curry was a bit hit and miss because I'm almost certain they substituted the duck with beef a few times without telling me. The fried calamari was always delicious though! As a veggie I usually order the aromatic pumpkin curry, sticky rice and some vegetable spring rolls. The curry is lovely and the spring rolls are great too I especially love the dipping sauce and you get quite a few for your money. They have a nice selection of juices and the wines are a decent price for Central London. The food is very reasonably priced too. The only issue I have with Busaba is that the staff can on the rude side and I always feel rushed when I'm eating. Being rushed is one of my pet peeves so it's more somewhere I go for a quick meal than a girlie dinner with friends. I'm not a huge fan of the table arrangements (you share a square table with other diners) especially during busy times because it's a tad too cramped and a bit awkward so I recommend going there when it's not too busy, the food is better and the whole experience is a lot more pleasant. read more

Sur Wardour street, en plein coeur de Soho, Busaba Eathai est un restaurant thaïlandais bon et pas cher (environ 9/12£ pour un plat complet et copieux). Des soupes et des rolls en entrée, des curry (viandes avec sauce), de la viande avec des légumes en plat. J'ai choisi du boeuf avec des légumes et une sauce épicée : la viande était incroyablement tendre. 2 points de moins bien : les serveurs ne sont vraiment pas sympas (pas un sourire pendant tout le déj) et les tables de 12 personnes que l'on partage avec des inconnus n'entraînent absolument pas la convivialité : dommage ! My friend and I had dinner at Busaba Eathai, and the place was packed.We ordered the grilled aubergine salad, prawn pad thai, monk fish curry, and chicken satay to share, and we left no plate unturned. Because the place is so popular and the way the space was designed (informal seating), we found ourselves yelling in order to be able to hear each other. After filling our stomachs, we wanted to sit and chat for a bit more, but I think the waiter was trying to shoo us (a dinner line was forming outside, and getting longer by the minute). I think this only becomes an issue during peak hours like lunch and dinner, though. However, despite all this, the food was excellent, and my friend and I both left the restaurant satisfied and pleased. read more

Signed up for this website specifically to leave a review for this eatery. We visited this place on the last day of our 10 day trip to London, from the USA. While there are certainly many good places to eat in London, they are usually expensive. From my perspective, this place has first class food without the first class price. I had the Pad thai and my date had ginger beef. For a starter shared calamari (yummy). The good: Excellent food. Very good prices. Chill atmosphere. The bad: busy place, had to queue. A bit loud. Really good Thai for a reasonable price. So naturally it's a buzzing place for both lunch and dinner given its central location in Soho. I had the Jungle Curry, which was nice and spicy. One thing I liked was that in the center of the large tables they have large bottles of soy sauce, hot chilli sauce, and fish sauce ready and waiting. What I felt for with the Jungle Curry tho' was a bit of sweet chilli sauce, so I asked the server and was quickly brought some sweet 'n' sour sauce instead, which was definitely better than nothing and complemented the curry, at least IMO. Right around the corner from my office, we often pop in for lunch. We've never had to queue, but in the evening there's often a queue outside. It's a pity you can't book - and this is the case with lots of places in Soho - as when eating out with a big group it's easier to know where you're going. Saying this, we did manage to get a table for 10 one lunchtime without any hassle. The food is really good, flavoursome, spicy and rich currries. They also do gluten-free options. Very reasonably priced. Have some great, healthy raw juices which feel like a mini-cleanse! Would certainly recommend and will go back soon. read more

The only reason I am giving 4 and not 5 stars is because, firstly the waiters couldn't wait to get us out of there, hence bugging us every 2 minutes for our order, when all I wanted to do was sip my wine slowly whilst making my decision. Secondly, I was sitting on the side of a major gangway and I can't tell you how annoying it is to constantly be brushed past by wating staff and the customers alike. This was also to do with the fact we were there in the peak of dinner time. One last gripe, no bookings can be made in advance so you may have to wait but it is definitely worth the wait for the food! read more

Busaba on Wardour St has to be my favourite restaurant in London.I love the communal eating set up and the way that you can be jumped right past an entire line of people depending on your group size!Friday and Saturday nights there's always a big queue, but I've never waited longer than 20 or 25 minutes. Great service with food arriving quickly after you order, but no pressure to vacate and make room for the next bunch when you are finished. The food is amazing, with my personal favourites being the Goong Thod Prawns, Thai Calamari and fantastic Sen Chan Phad Thai. read more

Continuing my phad thai pilgrimage I headed off to Busaba and must say I was quite impressed by their take on the dish - the vegetables were fresh and crisp and the sauce was the right side of tangy. I quite liked the communal tables but was suprised at how many times we got reprimanded for spreading out past our 10 inch seating space. Staff could have been friendlier but I will definitely return to try out some of their other dishes. Main meals are around £7/8 and they don't do bookings so get there early to avoid queuing. read more

I love Busaba. Nuff said. I wish there were more of them, including at the airport and I wish they invade America. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu but some of my faves are their Pineapple Prawn Curry, Beef noodle, Spicy Red curry fried rice, and their Prawn tempura appetizer. Their crab fried rice is decent as well -- I told ya pretty much can't go wrong with any of them. I love their signature drinks too -- especially the coconut water with raspberry. in general i will Busaba a 4 to 5 star but for restaurant especially i cant, i have to wait nearly 30 mins for the food. it was so crowded and noisy u barrey heard what your partner is saying. the staff is ok, the price is the same with other just the service is bad, need to have more staffs to match the customers demand. the seating to to close to each other and sometime touching other while eating. fairly bad experience, not sure if i want to recommend to u guys read more

This would be five stars if it weren't for the queues. The problem is in heading there and not knowing if theres gonna be a mammoth line or if we'll breeze through. That said the food and atmosphere are first class! The prices are more than reasonable for its location in London! The Thai green curry rice is stunning and comes with a sliced breast of chicken. My friend and I ended up choosing this restaurant last minute, and we were pleasantly surprised by how amazing our experience was. The Chicken Satay and Pad Thai were particularly impressive, and I must say they were the best I've had in Central London. This is a great little place for fast, tasty food. It can get a little bit crowded in here and if you don't like sitting with other people, this probably isn't the place for you. They have a massive menu and I have always ate well here. Don't be surprised to see a queue snaking out of the door on friday and saturday nights. This place is super popular! read more

The dish itself was excellent. My only complaint was with our waitstaff, who was unpleasant to me. I'm not sure what was going on, but she was only talking to my friend and looking at her, and when she delivered my plate, because she wasn't looking at me, she rammed it into my arm and forced me to back away. read more

The Soho branch can be a bit hit and miss. It also get's very busy so perhaps thats why the service (and food) can suffer a little. Still a nice buzzy place to go head to for a Thai but don't expect to have a meeting here as it gets quite loud! The Phad Thai Jay is nice as are the spring rolls. read more

Thailand on a plate!! Modern, bespoke and flavoursome whats not to love? i had the the Duck Mussaman and i have never had better. Great selection and has a pleasant wine selection that complimented my meal beautiful as directed by my waitress. Good service, Great food! Will visit again. read more

Can't fault it for a quick bite, not too pricey, no need to book, great service and food is really lovely and presented very well. Expect lively, casual, quick and to share your table (big shared tables). Check it out. Have tried this and the Shoreditch branch and both are excellent. read more
